Great to see Takamina determined to continue on strongly. I was pretty shocked and confused when I first heard the news about her mom, and became even more shocked and confused once I learned more about it.

On another note: Is it bad that I can only seem to recognize her when she's wearing the big bow and high ponytail on her head?

I feel like I've seen enough of her that I should be able to spot her without those trademarks, yet I still have difficulty.

Takamina could command an idol group, troops in an infantry, or even a Federation starship.

Acchan might be the face of AKB48, but Takamina is definitely the motivator and leader. What she does is equally important for the group. Takamina is a winner because she cares. She cares a lot about making sure things are cool in AKB48. It's gotta be a lot of pressure and she rises to the occasion every single time. I really like her for that, as well as for that fact that she herself is a great member. Love her vocals, she performs well all the time, great in No Sleeves, and I'd even dare say she's pretty sexy in her own way. One of AKB48's best and brightest for sure.

Takamina is ranked 4th on my list right now! Captain is freakin' awesome man. She's pretty, cute, funny--nay hilarious. I love watching her on tv, she almost always cracks me the fuck up. Besides that, her leadership is amazing. I don't think another girl in the group could possibly be as good a leader as Takamina is. I will be extremely dismayed when she decides to graduate.

But isn't that all the eggs into one basket? Sure, there's still Acchan, Tomochin, Miichan, Kojima, Kashiwagi etc, but they're more like nice decors compared to the foundation that is Takamina
I wonder if Aki-P has a contingency plan for her next-in-line successor just in case the unspeakable 'G-word' happens, to prevent the collapse & demise of post-Takamina AKB48
