I watched Hingis' match for the first time in this tournament. And wow..it was fun cheering for her. I really missed this feeling. :P I almost had a heart attack a couple times. Her tennis isn't as sharp as it used to be (but it'll take time). She got like 5 matchpoints but couldn't close the deal. But she managed to win at the end and me so happy. :D

Well you have to remember that Hingis has been sidelined for a while, and because of that it's going to take time for her to get back to the top form that she was in a few years back.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-be-cuuuuuuuuuuuuue

Damn...Hingis lost. :(

But that was a really great match. And even though she lost, I think she played better than her previous match.

And congrats to Clijsters for becoming world's no. 1. :D

Mauresmo is the most lucky Australian champion in the history...3 of her opponents retired from the whole tournament...2 of them were from the Final and the semi-final

That's a sucky way to win a tournament. Mauresmo likely won't consider it a true "victory".  :(

JPH!P 's kuro808, Fushigidane, ChrNo, Jab & marimari. Always.

She will still enjoy it, because you can also say 'she played them of the court', the enjoyment might be slightly less but its her first so finally: :thumbsup

WTF now Hingis got outclass'd by Diementieva.

But, well, the runnerup is still very good! Go Hingis!
