Main MC since the start of the show and group. Is according to himself an extremely shy person, but when it comes to Idoling!!! he does a 180°. Is also active outside of the show as a solo comedian (formerly a duo) known for his surreal jokes and acts. As the main MC of the show Masuno wants to strive for it to be as clean as possible, meaning he has no contact with any of the girls privately and has been keeping that way.
As a comedian he's fairly known after appearing several times on popular shows such as Bakushou Red Carpet (http://www.fujitv.co.jp/b_hp/redcarpet/), The Red Theater (http://www.fujitv.co.jp/b_hp/redtheater/index.html) and Matsumoto Hitoshi no OO na hanashi (http://www.fujitv.co.jp/marumaru/index.html). He's also made a name for himself in the annual contest for solo comedians R-1 Grand Prix (http://www.r-1gp.com/top.htm).

Former model. Has been a support MC since the beginning of the show, creating the dekoboko duo with Masuno because of her 177cm compared to Masuno's 165cm. Is popularly referred to as "Aniki" by various people and the Idoling!!! fans.

One of the original support MCs along with Morimoto, and one of the less serious announcers out there with no exception when working with Idoling!!!. Is extremely sadistic and infamous for having made the immovable Maipuru (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=21354.0) cry by hitting her with a bat.

She was the Maipuru "elder sister" for having the same family name and she played along with the character from time to time advising Maipuru from a sister point of view. She is also probably one of the more caring and less sadistic announcer there is XD

Royal Milk Girl is written by Masuno too, and I think Daiba no koi no monogatari also.
and most of the song he wrote are really nice. Well, even Daiji na Mono is a pretty good song. Plus its written by Idoling members

Masuno has only written one song for the group so far - Royal Milk Girl. I'm sure he has more hidden somewhere. :P Daiba no Koi is actually written by someone else, which is funny since even the members (#8... :lol:) think it's by their MC.
As for Daiji na Mono, I believe the members all wrote their own respective lyrics.

I thought this was pretty funny, so here's a snippet from the first half of a recent interview (http://www.cyzo.com/2010/10/post_5768.html) with a no-name idol Akari in which Masuno mentions Idoling!!!. She's basically going around interviewing adults discussing a lot of her worries on how to make a name for herself and such, and the theme for this particular interview is how she wants to improve her knowledge of girls.

Mas: You released a book called "The diary of a failure idol" - is it a nonfiction?
Aka: Yeah, it's a book depicting the hardships of an idol with no aura nor any spotlight on her whatsoever. Be sure to show it as a bad example to Idoling!!!.
Mas: Well, it's just a matter of time before they're all going to write one of those anyway.
Aka: That doesn't bode too well... Anyhow, regarding the Idoling!!! show, you're always keeping a certain distance by calling the girls by their last names plus -san, right? When watching other variety shows with comedians getting all flirty with younger girls and calling them by their first names, I can't help but think that "They're definitely having sex after the shootings are over". That's why I really admire the way you're doing it.
Mas: Hahaha, I'd never do that! They're by no means by kind of girls. I don't even think they're cute. The thing is, they're way too young for my taste.
Aka: I really like the first generation of the group! They all have strong personalities!
Mas: Indeed, one of them even made me go "Is this girl for real?!". Quite the special case. And another one I always wondered how she'd turn out from her current larva stage, and she actually just turned into a bigger larva. Like "What the, she's still her old self!". They sure had a lot of different personalities.
Aka: When getting blown by the leaf blower right in the face, the girls always try to make themselves funnier by opening their mouths. I became a fan sensing a lot of professional guts from that particular action.
Mas: For those that didn't open like they should, I put them in awkward situations. It might have been hard to notice on camera, but I gave them a "What's up with you trying to act all cute?! kind of vibe. I just left them to fend for themselves without commenting on anything. At first I did put some effort into making something out of it, but I'd be put into strange situations myself so I just quit doing it. I try to avoid getting all flirty with them, or else I'd just be pushing it.
Aka: Masuno's Spartan School! So that's how they get taught stuff.
Mas: Well, it's just myself doing how I please.

Minor detail but there seem to only be 2 pickups on that guitar (unless he has a secret piezo in the bridge too). Four coils yes, but only two pickups (humbuckers). Tele-Gibs are awesome though!
Definitely have to track down some of those old episodes with the elder Endo now.

If they would do that corner again where they put a non-Idoling!!! inbetween the regular members, and an outsider has to guess who is not an idol. If they put Mitapan in, they'd never guess, she looks like an idol herself! :oops: (I demand a full photobook! XD)

Her single would be call 恋のミタパン (Ai no Mitapan/Mitapan love) :wub: :wub: also will be featured by Comedian-duo (Owarai combi) Punk buu buu (together along from Mitapan's show, Mitapan-buu). From the promotional event, Mitapan wore Sailor-school uniform :wub: :wub: :wub: (I realized that she is like an Idol, perhaps cuter :D)

I've said it from the start, Mita-pan = IDOL ! She's my favorite ana too :oops: :wub:
I remember Idoling!!! used to do episodes where they put a "random" girl (read: pretty with idol-like features) inbetween the members and an outsider had to guess which one was not an idol. If they put Mita-pan in there, I'm sure they wouldn't be able to pick her out :D

I think those episodes where he was wounded were right after the earthquake last year so I guess it might be related to that?

Guys, i've just watched Idoling 2008s episodes (when they're still in 1st & 2nd gen formation), and just found something interesting. There was a lot of the Fuji TV announcer beside Sayaka Morimoto & Maiko Saito, then i've found an announcer named Reiko Endo (her family name sound familiar :D :D). She appeared just in short time i think, until the early 2009. And here is Endo-san :

haha yeah they both shared the same family name and even joked about being sisters in the show. I can't remember which episode but there was one episode where she said
"You're making big sister worried here" to Maipuru. So obviously even she was aware of the similarity between the two people.

Good singing, though better than Tonchan, about the same level as Ruri, but definitely below Maipuru. Stage presence wise, it's obvious without the experience she can't compare to all of the 1st gens. :)
