Man, all this time and I never knew he was Walter Koenig's (aka "Chekov" from Star Trek TOS) son.

Article statemtns such as this one from that article linked above:
Quote
His parents, Walter (“Star Trek’s” original Pavel Chekov) and Judy Koenig, told TMZ that their son was “suffering from depression.”

“(He was) not doing good” at the time of his disappearance, they told the site, adding that they planned to fly to Vancouver in the coming days.
aren't exactly encouraging. I can't help but think that he will be found, but not in the way people are hoping for.

JPH!P 's kuro808, Fushigidane, ChrNo, Jab & marimari. Always.

Growing Pains actor 'took own life'
Andrew Koenig's father says the former Growing Pains actor killed himself.
Andrew Koenig, 41, was last seen on February 14 when he left the apartment of a friend he had been visiting in Vancouver.

He was reported missing four days later after his father in Los Angeles received a despondent letter from his son.

Walter Koenig, who portrayed Lieutenant Pavel Chekov in the original Star Trek TV series, revealed at the time that his son was suffering from clinical depression.

Earlier today Canadian police confirmed they had located Koenig's body in an isolated area of Stanley Park.

"Our son took his own life," Walter Koenig told a news conference.
