Title: AKBar48 Watch Party Thread!
Post by: jafeijai on February 04, 2011, 05:44:08 PM: This shall be the thread to go to when coordinating watch parties of concerts, IVs and anything else people might want to watch together.

In the past, we have used the AJAX Chat as a place to gather the watch party participants. Now, with our own channel in our own irc server, the place to gather is at #AKBar48@irc.jphip.com . When the time comes for the watch party, connect to the channel however you like (be it using your preferred irc client, or simply clicking the IRC Chat tab at the top of the page) and let the fun begin!

To sync the times for everyone and to figure out your timezone compared to anyone else's, a link to the world times (http://www.time.gov/widget/).

Partially the point of this watch party. I've added more tentative watch parties so that we can lead up to the new dramas.

IMO a minute or two of pause is good just for sync. Different media players open at different speeds and some of us (read: me :lol: ) are playing from DVD's so it may take a sec for them to get spun up.

Even so, fun party. This show is still a fun watch a year later! :thumbup
