Is there more Do As Infinity (http://www.d-a-i.com) fans here?
Ever since I heard Fukai Mori as Inu-Yasha's ending theme, I've loved this band and it's music. Do As Infinity was actually one of my first experiences in Jpop long before I had even heard about H!P.
Let's share our thoughts about DAI and stuff.
btw, according to their website, the new single is coming out 27.7.2005.

Man, I love DaI! They're one of my fav groups. I was lucky enough to see them live in Dallas last year and they put on a great show.
Word has it they're planning on a west coast US tour in the near future as well :D

WOOOOOOOOO I LOVE THEM!!! Theyre my favourite jpop band. I have all of thier albums and I bought the limited edition Need your Love CD, DVD and Ryo T-Shirt.
I can't wait for them to release more stuff. and i would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see them live. why cant they play in the uk? :cry: Banchan is FIT!

DAI has really great songs. I usually listen to them when I'm just relaxing around the house. Some of my favorites are Heart, Get Yourself, Tookumade, and Koi Hime.

aw, I didn't get to post a response yet...but I love DAI's rock ballads. Tomiko Van is a hottie. I got hooked with WEEK! and Oasis. Still listen to em when I get the chance. My cousins were crazy about the Love 2000 theme "Yesterday & Today" so I checked em out.

I missed them when they came here to Dallas. I was an idiot and went there to see them perform last March on their first tour date. Tomiko is more damn cute since she lost some of her weight, (Not that I'm shallow that way)

There are surprisingly few videos on the newsgroups of Live8, I found some from Pink Floyd, Bjork, Coldplay and a bit of Geldof.

Aaargh, I was at summer cottage in nowhere and I didn't have any idea that DAI would be in Live8... So instead of DAI live performance (maybe the first and last chance ever in Finnish TV), I watched Julia Roberts's Runaway Bride :(

DaI is one of my favorite bands, and has been since the beginning of my jmusic fandom... its going to be really sad to see them go, but, a Tomiko solo career WILL BE AWESOME! Ryo's band, Missile Innovation, is rockin'!

This year really sucks for me, cause my 2 favourite bands decided to split (ZONE and DAI). But I really liked Tomiko's solo song on the Slow Dance OST, hopefully her solo career is a bit more "rocking", though. MI is pretty good, but I don't really like Ryo's vocals that much :?

DAI rules. My fave Japanese band. Sucks they died, but damnit they will always be in my stereo. I wanna hear Missile Invasion. Tomiko's new album is aight. My fave song is Urara. =) Freakin' badass. She's a hottie homegrown singer. And Ryo simply kicks ass. And Dai... is too cool for anyone, but everybody knows that.
I saw them at their New York concert. Fun stuff. =)

Not sure who else here is a DAI fan. As of August 30th Do As Infinity performed a reunion show as a part of A'Nation 08.

At that show DAI announced that they would be reforming (Tomiko and Ryo) as of September 29th, and will be performing a Free Live on September 30th.

First week out Eight ended up #8 on the charts which is okay but the album only ended up selling 19K for that week, album sales are really down over there. :sweatdrop: Before their tour, they're doing a few acoustic shows promoting the album, here are a few pics, notice Ban-chan with a guitar at one show, they were doing Wonderful Life. :)

I've enjoyed all the releases since they came back, but for me it seems like the latest singles are more like the old DAI...which I love - I'm glad for the familiar sound...makes me feel good.

Do As Infinity will be providing the ending theme song for “Sengoku BASARA“, the latest game in the popular series!
The duo’s latest song is titled “Tasogare“, and will be released on November 16th as a single. Fans will get to hear the song in “Sengoku BASARA 3″, which officially hits stores for both the PS3 and Wii on November 10th. The song is Do As Infinity’s second tie-up with the series this year, after lending their song “Chikai” to the soundtrack of “Sengoku BASARA CHRONICLE HEROES” this July.
When asked about their latest tie-up, the duo responded, “It suits the game, and it has a nice ending! We’d love for everybody to hear it soon!”
“I sing about the feelings of wanting to live strongly through those times in one’s daily existence when one suddenly feels pain and solitude, without losing sight of one’s faint, dim hopes,” said vocalist Van Tomiko about the slightly melancholy track.

After five years, pop duo Do As Infinity (DAI) is reopening their official fan club “Dive At It” on October 11th. The name stems from fan requests when they announced their breakup. New fan club members will get an original face towel as a present. D.A.I is currently working with online website Nico Nico Douga for a new program.
On October 2nd D.A.I is holding their 12th anniversary commemoration live “Do As Inifinity 12th Anniversary ~FREE SOUL! FREE SPIRITS! ~Vol.3~” at Hibiya Kokaido.
D.A.I is also releasing a new single “Tasogare” on November 16th. It will be the ending theme song to video game series “Sengoku BASARA 3 Utage” (which is releasing November 10th by Capcom/PS3/Wii).
Their anniversary live will be broadcasted on Nico Nico Douga and USTREAM.

Do As Infinity announces new album + nationwide tour

Do As Infinity has announced that they’ll be releasing a new album called “TIME MACHINE” on February 29th. In conjunction with this album’s release, the duo will also be embarking on a nationwide tour titled, “Do As Infinity LIVE
“Right now, we are in the middle of production, so it’s hard to explain the details… ” the duo began before continuing, “We are working on many songs that will be perfect for our concerts, so please wait for it!”
The album will come in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition will come with a DVD containing music videos and footage from their 12th anniversary live, held on October 2nd at Hibiya Outdoor Stage.
Furthermore, Do As Infinity’s tour will kick off on March 31st at Toda Civic Cultural Hall in Saitama, and will wrap up on June 22nd at Aster Plaza in Hiroshima, for a total of 9 performances.

Do As Infinity’s “Koiuta” to be the theme song for movie, ‘Watashi no Ojisan’

It’s been announced that Do As Infinity’s new song “Koiuta” will be the theme song for director Hosono Tatsuoki’s upcoming movie, ‘Watashi no Ojisan‘.
This movie is based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Renjou Mikihiko, which tells the story of a forbidden love between a cameraman and his niece.
“Koiuta” was written just for this upcoming movie and will be part of Do As Infinity’s album “TIME MACHINE”, which is planned for release on February 29th.
‘Watashi no Ojisan’ is set to hit theaters nationwide on March 3rd.

Do As Infinity has revealed that they will be releasing their 10th original album, “Do As Infinity X“, on October 10th!
This was announced during the final stop of the duo’s nationwide tour, ‘Do As Infinity Live Tour 2012-TIME MACHINE-‘ on July 7th at Shibuya Kokaido. They wrapped up their tour which attracted over 10,000 people, saying, “To be able to release 10 original albums… everyone thank you!” Footage from this concert will be included in the CD+DVD version of the album.
Prior to the album’s release, Do As Infinity will hold an event for fan club members called ‘Do As Infinity 13th Anniversary-Dive At It Limited Live 2012‘ on September 29th at SHIBUYA-AX. As this day also marks the anniversary of their debut, Kameda Seiji, who has been supporting the duo as the sound producer, will be joining on bass. The set list will be chosen by the fans, and it’s said to be a memorial live that will celebrate their 13th anniversary.
Additionally, it’s been announced that Do As Infinity will be holding their customary countdown live, “Do As Infinity COUNTDOWN LIVE ‘Yuku Toshi Kuru Toshi Infinity 12→13′“, on December 30th and 31st at Shinagawa Stella Ball.

Do As Infinity's Van Tomiko announces her pregnancy

Do As Infinity's vocalist Van Tomiko has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
On Do As Infinity's official website, Van expressed, "From the bottom of my heart, I am happy that we will be gaining a new family member. Everyday, I am surprised and impressed by the mystery of the small life that is growing inside me. I am healthy both in mind and body. I will do my very best with the year-end lives."
Van married a non-celebrity man in mid-September 2012. During that time, she introduced her husband as "a kind and faithful person who supports me with a broad mind."
Do As Infinity will hold their annual countdown live on December 30th and 31st at Stella Ball in Tokyo. Then on January 1st, they will release a best-of album to kick off their 15th anniversary year. Furthermore, their tour 'Do As Infinity 15th Anniversary Live Tour' which was scheduled in spring will be held in fall instead.

Do As Infinity's Van Tomiko is pregnant with her second child.
According to reports, the singer has already entered her stable period and is due sometime in December. Do As Infinity's 16th anniversary live "Do As Infinity 16th Anniversary～October's Garden～" on October 12th at Hibiya Open-Air Music Hall will be held as scheduled. Along with the pregnancy announcement, Van commented, "We are happy to be welcoming a new family member. I am doing well in both mind and body."
Van married a non-celebrity man in September of 2012. The couple welcomed their first child, a boy, in June of 2014.
