Is sending/receiving e-mails (like picture mails) possible with a Motorola V3 Razr?

Can't seem to find the option to do it..

^ Ah, I see the settings now! Thanks!

But damn, no clue how to set up my e-mail inbox on this thing (when I try to send a pic to my actual e-mail, it says my settings are incomplete) - guess I'll have to go to some real live tech support and find out what 'internet' I'm supposed to use for this.

So, I'm sharing some stuff from my desktop on my network, but when trying to access it from another computer it can see it but when I click on it I can't open it. After doing some stuff I realized that it only does that for shared stuff in my RAID0 array, files in my external share fine.

Is there some way to get it to work or am I out of luck.

What message does it give when you try to open a file on the raid0? or does it just not do anything at all?
There shouldn't be a difference but you could try resharing the files. Like unshare them and then share them again to redo all the permissions.

ok so I looked at the message it gives on win xp one more time. It said the usual "no access, contact admin etc.," and I ignored the important part at the bottom about "not enough server storage." So googled it and found a fix. Thanks for reminding me to check

You mean that Rika vid I UL'ed for you?  Just double-click on the 1st RAR and click the "Extract Video" button to get the video.  WinRAR will automatically extract the necessary parts from all 4 RAR files, and put them back together into a single video. Just verify that the video plays alright and you can delete the 4 RARs.

The steps are really intuitive and are somewhat similar to what you do with HJSplit (only in this case you're using WinRAR). You do have WinRAR, right? If not, you should be able to use 7zip or WinZip in it's place, OR you can click the following link to DL it. http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=160&dl=wrar371.exe

Anyway, like I said, double-click on the 1st RAR file (it's labeled "part 1").

http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/3126/clipboard01hs2.png

This will open up a WinRAR window, in which you'll see the AVI video as well as a big button near the top that says EXTRACT. Click that button with your mouse.

http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/1778/clipboard02hq3.png

You'll then get another, smaller pop-up window. Click the "OK" button on the smaller window and WinRAR will completely extract the video.

Done and done.

EDIT: Screencaps added.

hmmm I tried making instructions with pictures, hopefully it'll help. like JFC said winrar is needed for this.
Edit: JFC beat me to it XD I'll just keep the instruction but change the picture to links :p

1. put all the parts into one folder, any folder is okay, as long as all the parts are in one folder. for this example I split a gakikame mp3 into 4 parts and put the parts in a folder called "temp"
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n186/er_we_el/misc/a.png

2. If you have winrar properly installed, all you have to do is click on the file with the extension ".part1", and the menu will have "Extract here" --> I usually just click this, way easier.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n186/er_we_el/misc/b.png

3. The file should begin extracting like this
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n186/er_we_el/misc/c.png

4. voila! the extracted file will appear in the same folder.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n186/er_we_el/misc/d.png

hope this helps :)

Should I install Norton 360?

Me running a Dell Dimension 8100 P4 1.2GHz 256MB, 60GB, DVD, CD/RW

I dunno if it's me or the weed speaking - but I'm paranoid as fuck and need help with security shit! The virus that hit me not only made my Google links into ad links, fucking turned off my firewall whenever. Froze up my spyware/virus scanners. Then started emailing everyone. Already did the reformat / reinstall XP and shit looks cool

Thanks!

All I have is a free anti-virus and spybot and I've been pretty virus free. Gotta stop going to those strange porn sites or stop opening them .exe files

If you're paranoid, and want to "buy" some security, try nod32, it's good and much cheaper.

Nod32 is really cool, GData, Kapersky are pretty effective.
but I wouldn't recommend Norton :/  ( just an opinion and maybe you got it with your Dell?)

Honestly, antivirus are worth buying ... ( and yes, I've bought my Panda )

Try (Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite). It gives you everything from Firewall Security, Anti-virus, Anti-spyware. And if you do get a virus, Zone Alarm almost always detects it and quarantines it before it can do any damage. You can Download the entire Program at Zonealarm.com and try it for 15 days. After that you have to purchase a license key.

I've been dissapointed with norton...stupid thing is resource-greedy, and still lets virus through (although it might be better now, I don't know). I heard some of my friend like norton 360, says it's good now. but I'm already lovin NOD32, so... bye norton XD

and I second maikeru's reccomendation for zone alarm, the thing detects every attempt from any program that tries to access the internet (whether to send or receive data) and asks you for permission first. very nice!

I don't have an antivirus.  The best thing you can use is common sense.  Just be aware of what you're doing / be careful what you download.

(And this isn't just info for you Daigong as you'll know some of this, just general advice for anyone.)

- Make sure filetypes aren't switched off.  If you're looking at a file in a folder you need to be able to see the file extension.  If file extensions are set to not display, set them to display by clicking on "my computer" to open a window, then Tools - folder options - view - and untick "hide extensions for known file types".

- Now you can see the file extensions, learn which ones are harmless and which ones can be potentially harmful.  Potentially harmful ones are .exe (executable file. a piece of software), .com (similar to an exe), .vbs (visual basic script. often used to do nasty things), .scr (screensaver but often used to carry viruses), .wma .wmv .asf .asx (those last 4 are video files are usually ok but they can be made to force your browser to open a webpage when you start to play the file, sometimes It might look like a DRM request.  If you're prepared for this and have you're mouse ready you can quickly close the page before anything bad happens).  You'll probably only encounter those webpage-opening files on p2p progs such as limewire where almost 100% of them are fake/viruses.
Harmless filetypes: mp3, wav, avi, mpg, basically all video and audio filetypes except wma wmv asf asx.

- If you use Outlook Express for email make sure the preview pane is set to display emails as text only

- If you use Internet Explorer make sure you have all the updates, or better still use a different (better!) browser

- Be careful when opening email attachments.  If it's from someone you don't know then delete it.  Even if it's from someone you know you still need to be careful.  If someone has sent you an attachment that doesn't look like what they say it is then delete it.  For example "Here's those pics I promised I'd send you" and it's an exe file = almost certainly a virus.

- When opening a zip file (or rar, or other archive) never open it from the webpage or from your email, always save the file to your hard drive first.  One trick people do is to give the file 2 file extensions, so it will look like filename.zip                                        .exe - with a 2nd file extension with loads of spaces, a lot more spaces than I put there, so in your email you won't see the 2nd file extension and will assume the file is a zip.  Only the last file extension is the important one.  When the file is on your hard drive it's easy to see if there's another file extension.

- Even if someone has sent you a dodgy .zip file it would still safe to look inside, just as long as you're careful what you do with the contents.  You can look at what files the zip or rar contains from within the zip or rar program without actually extracting the file so you can see what the contents are.

When downloading software/apps/warez/etc as long as you're downloading from a "trusted site" then you can be pretty sure it'll be safe.  By trusted sites I mean big companies such as microsoft, macromedia, etc.  If you're downloading something off someones angelfire page or from a torrent then you need to be more careful of those.  When I need to scan such a file I use the online virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

I've probably overlooked some stuff but that's the main things I can think of right now.

I also don't use any antivirus software.. Used to years ago when my hobby was rendering 3D images, which meant downloading tonnes of .exe files (heaps of that crap had viruses), but since then, I haven't used any, and the pc has stayed clean..

I do use McAfee SiteAdvisor when Googling though..

You would have to be pretty dense to see a site with a X and still click on that page..

Hey, Guchi, is that a setting in Google or a separate app that gives you those checks and X's in Google searches?

Edit:

Just noticed the link you put, missed  it on first glance.
"Yo, microphone check one, two, what is this? The five foot assassin with the roughneck business"
"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."

Thanks for da tips guys. Just stuck it out with my Norton 2004 (tried to return the Norton 360 but dumb me, sliced the tape open on the box. THAT'S ALL I DID)

Yaw I normally don't touch random zips and shit, lord knows I opened up a package of Japanese dicks while trying to DL a PB off fucking Japanese P2P. I swore it happened while I was browsing a site.

I DID try updating my Windows Update but ran into that "verify legal copy of windows" thing and BAM got nailed lmao. Had to get this crack "Windows.Xp.Genuine.Advantage.WGA"
