We won’t fault you for thinking you’re strolling through Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood as you enter the Museum at FIT’s new exhibit, which opens Friday 17. After all, the walls of the gallery are covered in enormous images of street scenes from Japan’s most fashionable city, while ensembles from some of the country’s more innovative designers—including Undercover and Comme des Garçons—line a runway on either side of the space. “I’m hoping [visitors] walk away feeling like they have taken a little minitrip to Tokyo,” explains curator and museum director Valerie Steele, who handpicked each piece in the show. About 90 outfits are on view, covering the full breadth of Japanese style¬; you’ll see a sleek gown by Issey Miyake, outrageous Gothic Lolita costumes designed by h.NAOTO, and a cosplay outfit depicting a maid with cat ears, among other items. “Japanese street style is so incredibly rich and so incredibly different than street style in the West,” Steele notes. “Most people don’t get a chance to go over to Tokyo, so we don’t really get a chance to see it firsthand. Wow! I hope they will continue to gain popularity inside and outside of Japan.

Well, I am wondering, when I watch those variety shows with the Old Generation which include Yossie and Rika in the show, why do I get the feeling that they void the existence of Hangry & Angry, like it doesn't exist, the hosts don't even ask about the duo, except for H&A promotion on specific shows.

Or I am the only one thinking about these things. Haha.
