Yeah I don't think Mika's voice suits a song like GLAMOROUS SKY. I've read the NANA manga and while Mika really looks like NANA, she certainly doesn't seem to have the right vocals to be the really heavy jrock type that NANA is supposed to be. Image wise, Mika is perfect, vocals wise she doesn't really fit. I think Reira's song is much better.

I didn't like mika when I first heard her either. her songs all sounded too similar to me, but then I heard aishiteru and I have loved her ever since.

I think her tv performances are really falling apart lately though.

I becoma a fan right from her debut. Listened to Stars and got hooked by the vocals. Really really nice vocals IMHO. My favourite songs were Stars, Yuki no Hana, Resistance, and the new hit song from the hit Movie, NANA - Glamorous Sky.

The movie is really good. If you actually read the manga, I would recommend  you to watch it.

And the last tour DVD [Let's Music Tour]  that is coming out this week is awesome too. Managed to catch the TV boardcast. ^^

I've been a Nakashima Mika fan for a long time, her album Love is one of my favorite jpop albums, right up there with ZONE's Z and Second Morning.  She is a master of ballads, but my favorite song is Love Addict.  A note to Tsunku, this song is "Eros".

Yeap, Love Addict is a great song...and I remember the PV is over 7 minutes long. Looking forward to Mika's Best Album due in Dec.

I can't stand the tracklist for BEST. It'd be so much better if they just got LOVE and MUSIC and be done with it. <3
a post by me, a rare thing!

I'm not a Nakashima Mika fan either but I gotta say...

Every Friday I eat dinner at an izakaya run by the parents of Ito Yuna, who I guess is paired up with Nakashima on virtually every music show these days.  I only found out about Yuna's debut in early September when a music rep visited the restaurant and brought a bunch of promo items.

And so for the last few months I've been hearing NOTHING but "Endless Story" in the restaurant.  There's a video monitor in the back and I must have seen her debut on "Music Station" a dozen times.  They even played the original English version one night and left it on repeat.

"Endless Story" is a sweet song and Yuna-chan has a great future but I need a break every now and then.  So now there's a new round of TV shows and now, for the first time, I get to experience the "other" song from the NANA movie.

Maybe it's the acoustic arrangement or the fact that it's just something different but damn, "Glamorous Sky" is a REALLY good song.  I like that aggresive, upbeat tempo and Nakashima seems confident with every note she gives up on the TV programs I've seen so far.  I'm sorry she won't be doing this song on the Kohaku.

This may be the only Nakashima song I ever truly like but that's OK; it's one more than a LOT of other J-pop artists...

I dunno, but she kinda turned punk rock recently with that new black hair-do. Especially that movie she was in. I think it was called "NaNa" I don't remember too clearly.

I really like it. Like her hairdo on FNS...that made me swoon.

I'm not a fan of Mika, but a fan of Nana. I started to like her more because of Nana. You know...I think if they continue to make sequels, the old Mika will probably never come back.

Just watching her latest PV ''Cry no more''

That's cool !!  It's soul style.
Hope she'll get No.1 on Oricon chart again since her "Glamorous sky"

I haven't watched it but I read that it was shot in Memphis. They even gave her the golden key.
