I think I read from somewhere that she went there but couldn't perform since it's illegal in France for a girl under 15 to perform.
Then, I just watched AKB48 in Cannes and saw her performing on stage which at that time, she was still 14. I'm confused now.

Yes, she was at the Expo but didn't perform.
Interesting point about Cannes... must have been some loophole in the law :nervous

Lovetan's role as Myao's sidekick in Majisuka is so :shocked !! the role don't suit the 3 kawaii members.....

^ I find that the yankii side of the trio was played really well. There were already small bits of their more delinquent side on AKBINGO (i.e. Myao's damedashi) and so having their characters in Majisuka have such a violent side felt rather 'right' to me. The change between the 'cute' and the 'yankii' made their characters stick out more to me too, since there hasn't been any other characters with that kind of 'gap' in personality in my opinion (Mayu/Nezumi is on a level of creepy of her own).

Taking two-shots and doing the handshake event is fun, you know. Thanks to everyone that came to support us.

I ranked 22nd...
The way to think about it is dependant on you.
At first, when I was called to the stage, it was 『vexing』
It was simply vexing. I cried many tears of regret.
But, my family members and friends from school..
from the point of view of those around me,
being the center of Undergirls is a good thing☆☆☆
Also, though I said it on stage already, to the fans who had to open each
single CD and lose sleep in order to vote
You have my heartfelt thanks.
If there's another one next year, I'll do my best then as well.
There's still the feeling of regret but, I just received this time's
Undergirls song and it's a great song! And so, we'll make a good PV~!

All these pics of Rabutan are so cuuuuuute. :wub: I THINK she might have overtaken all my other AKB favorites and become my all time favorite AKB member. She's just so ridiculously adorable and sweet I can't ignore her.
I just hope that the state of AKB's still the same in 2 years when I study abroad in Tokyo, so I can go to fan events and things.

They are still doing it? I've only seen the first ep... which was actually kinda amusing. However, I don't really have any interest to see that segment again.

Yes, there have been 3 episodes so far: park, kitchen and living room. I don't mind Oota getting some extra air time, but this seems like a waste :nervous It's like they don't know what to do on Shukan anymore, so you get these 'filler' type segments.
The first ep was cool and fitted perfectly, because it was part of that insane ep with Mustache Myao and the KKS and Mocchi's ear fetish segment :lol:

Lovetan is another one of my love/hate relationship girls. I don't like it when she gets too snappy with the hosts of a show or with the other girls. She has no right to call others boring. However, on other days I just adore her. She can be sooo cute. :wub: She's my ultra secret oshi. lol
She still has a bit of a kid/imouto vibe to her, but like Harugon, Lovetan's gravure has shown a mature side to her as well.
Let's not rush things and enjoy Lovetan while she's still allowed to be loud and rebellious! We'll see the beautiful mature Lovetan when she's ready. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her grow up. :yep:

I miss seeing Lovetan on more of the TV shows. She seems to be MIA lately. I always found her to be pretty hilarious. Some of those early episodes of AKBINGO, she really surprised me with her borderline yankii attitude. :lol: I have a hard time grasping that she'll be 18 year this. Looking at her, that just makes no sense. :lol:

Lovetan to HKT48! I added the Team H tag for the time being for easy reference.
I think this is the best thing that could have happened to her.
- Popularity within AKB48 was dropping hard
- The rebellious kid chara doesn't work anymore when your getting 18+
- This gives her a chance to become an adult, to become a senpai to the HKT kids
- Re-united with Sasshi who gets her squeeze toy back XD
I hope she can re-invent herself and becomes more popular again.

Oota Aika aka Lovetan explains the reason behind her transfer to HKT48
AKB48 member Oota Aika, as known as Lovetan made an appearance at the release commemoration event of the movie “X game 2” in which she stars. She explained the reason behind her transfer to HKT48, which was announced on 24th this month, the first day of Tokyo dome concert.
Oota confessed that the transfer was decided on her own will. She explained that she’s felt somehow stuck in AKB48 as she ranked in 52th in this year’s election, big decrease from 25th in last year. She’s ranked down for 3 consecutive year, starting from 20th (1st election) to 22th to 25th to 52th.
“I’ve decided the transfer by myself. In AKB, there’re many top members as well as junior members who’ve rapidly growing. I’ve been unable to picture a bright future in AKB. So I consulted Akimoto-sensei, and he suggested a transfer. I gave it a lot of thought, and decided to give it a go. I can’t tell what will happen in the future, but I think a bright future is waiting for me there.” she promised a leap in the new team.
Before she made a final decision, HKT member Sashihara (2gen junior to her) was the first person she consulted about the transfer. “As Sassy has transferred to HKT48, I heard now the group has been enjoying a lot of opportunities. And I figured that I may be able to picture a bright future there, and decided on the transfer.”
“I will make the most of what I’ve learned in AKB, and will try my best to make HKT48 as popular as AKB48″, she shared her ambition.
She said she’s already met members of HKT48. “It turned out that I’ll be the second most senior member in HKT48, so I hope I can play a role something like a elder sister in the group. We’ve been already very friendly with each other, maybe I’m a sort of Loli-con, as I really love little girls. So I hope I can help them grow properly, no go bad.”
When asked about Maeda Atsuko who’s graduated AKB48 on 27th August, she joyfully talked, “(After her graduation performance at AKB48 theater) When I hugged her, I whispered to her ear, “Please keep inviting me to goto have meals together”". I whispered, because after she graduates, I figured that I can no longer feel an intimate connection with her. She kindly answered to me, “Of course” with a broad smile.”
“In AKB, as I’m a younger member in my generations members, I’ve been one who depends on other members. But in HKT, I’m willing to take a role as a big sister for members. In AKB, I’ve grown up with Takamina as my mentor, always be her side, so I will demonstrate what I’ve learned from Takamina, how to make members one. Now that Takamina is a general manager of AKB, I’ll work hard so that I’ll be named a general manager of HKT48.”

Massive props to Lovetan :thumbup She basically drew the same conclusions as I did and she has the courage to take matters into her own hands and start this new chapter in her career.
It's interesting that Aika is 3rd gen and Sasshi is 5th gen, making her the most experienced member. Even though Sasshi has done a lot more work on TV and such, so in that sense they will both be a massive asset to HKT48.
She sounds full of renewed energy and ambition. Maybe she should do like Harugon and change her nickname to Lovesan to add emphasise to the new mature her :lol:
Oh boy, Sasshi and Lovetan as the lolicon oneesans in a group full of young girls. Looking forward to see how that plays out in blog picture and backstage shenanigans.

Rabutan certainly has the personality and experience that can only help HKT48 to grow as a group. And it seems that Aika has taken positive energy form Aachan's graduation, realizing that she too can find a future in following new directions.
What are some of the qualities that Aika will be bringing to those younger Kyushu sisters?

Cute, young, tsundere, she has always been the prime target of perverts in AKB (especially Sasshi)
Coming in at a very young age, she has still remained in the 48 family, and is now the biggest senpai in HKT (her being 3rd gen, Sasshi 5th)
She ranked in pretty well in the first two Senbatsu Sousenkyo, but unfortunately, has dropped significantly.
Her voice is still very cute, and I enjoy it in songs (like Heso ga Magaru), and the AKB1/48s.
