I would've thought Craig Biggio was a lock to get in on the first try. The guy played his entire career with the Astros. He was one hell of a utility player during his playtime. But obviously there are some "numbers/stats" writers out there who can't appreciate what a guy like Biggio did for 20 years (hell, the guy had over 3000 hits!). It's probably gonna end up being the same next year when Glavine and Maddux get on the ballot.

So, is anyone watching the World Baseball Classic? The Japan/Taiwan games are on too late for me. Only a few clips here and there for me. Hope to catch more action this coming weekend.

I would like to watch the WBC games but they are only shown on the MLB Network which I don't have. Also, haven't given any thought of paying a subscription to MLB.tv (or whatever it is). Maybe they'll show the semi-finals and finals on the local channels seeing as those games will be played in SF.
