[TV] Sons Of Anarchy
« on: August 22, 2009, 03:11:53 AM »

Quote
Sons of Anarchy is an FX television series starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, and Katey Sagal about the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town somewhere in Northern California.

Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter, a former writer and producer on The Shield, another FX television drama. The show's first season averaged 5.4 million viewers weekly making it the network's most successful show since Rescue Me.

Season One Trailer

It's like Hamlet but with motorcycles and guns! I haven't been as hooked on a show like this since Battlestar. Fantastic acting (Katey Sagal! Ron Perlman!) and a story that builds up to one of the best closing moments in TV. Season 2 starts in the US next Sept, but I simply cannot afford to wait that long.

Also, gotta respect Jax's 'Don't fuck with me' strut.

Someone please say they at least know what I'm talking about when I mention SAMCRO! XD

I DOOOOOOO.  Comcast's OnDemand had this.  I started watching this, but I fell out of the routine for some reason.  :(  I need to get back in to the SOA groove.

^ At long last, someone who knows! You really need to get back into the groove! Without giving away too much, the ending episodes of Season 1 are among the best you'll ever see on television. Everyone wants to be a badass like Jax:

First season was great but right now the writers don't seem to be able to find a proper plot to follow...

How can you say that?! Season 2 is just incredible. Anytime I think it's going to head in one direction it throws a curveball and throws me way off course.

I just watched the Season 2 finale.

Stunning. Absoultely gripping from start to finish, which just makes the wait for Season 3 that much harder.

Season 1 was good but I thought S2, as far as story, writing, cast, crew, it was even better. I love it. I think I'll even declare my alligiance by getting a SAMCRO hoodie.

I completely missed Season 3. Holy shit. It sounds like it might be time for it to be shown on TV over here so I might hold out and watch it in shiny HD.

You should watch it Dai! It's the ultimate show to watch while you're in the man cave!

Been watching Season 3 lately and it's still soooo good. The Belfast scenes leave a lot to be desired though. The Irish (sorry, 'O-Irish' accents) simply don't sound convincing to me XD

The Season 3 finale was amazing. Regardless of what you think of the show, you know you're guaranteed to have a great ending to them now. The season itself was pretty touch and go, but the finale was action packed and had some interesting revelations that nicely sets up Season 4. Which has already started to good reviews so I'm definately interested to see where it goes from here.

Just watched the S4 finale and it's been the best season yet. Loved it all. I even liked the finale, though it was much more subdued and lacked the 'OH SHIT' moments that the previous finales had. Sets up some interesting paths to go down for Season 5. Bring it on.

Just watched the season 5 opening episode and after thinking it'll all be smooth sailing for Samcro... damn, what a brutal episode it turned out to be. I gotta say one scene in particular was hella difficult to watch.

Pope sure seems like an interesting antagonist for the season.

Yeah that part was tough to watch. Seasons 6 & 7 are confirmed and Kurt Sutter has said that this is the beginning of the third act, so I can't wait to see what happens.

R.I.P. Johnny Lewis (Half-Sack)

Only started watching this show last week, and just the other night watched the finale of season 2 where he was killed off.

And tonight in real life, he went and did something stupid.. Damn..

Season 1, 2 and 4 were great, season 3 not so much.
This season though, took a major dive with episode 3.
Wouldn't be surprised if the rating also took a major dive after the huge mistake they just made..

^ Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled about that turn of events myself...

Man, ep 5... after I realized Venus was none other than Walton Goggins I almost died laughing. What a hilarious cameo.
