Finally going to Japan, Karen takes a break from ASE. Just my luck

but yeah! it seems to be just a temporary break. Even chiyomaru tweeted sth about awaiting her return!

edit: They don't have the Afilia Coin system in the Ueno location?

uhms hey! the ueno sherry's is pretty accessible. its close to the train station as well...
and yeaps. they don't have the coin system at Ueno Sherry's
The places with the coins in my knowledge are Ikebukuro and Nagoya. I dk about roppongi stars cause I have yet to go thr...

Ueno sherry's has a different system that acts in the same way. You will be presented with a card and stuff.
If you are ordering drinks there are those with alcohol, those without, with ice, without... very confusing imo!
but if you spot your fav member and have the chance to catch her... i reckon you could try getting her to make you their specialty cocktail.
find karen and ask her to make you a tenshi cocktail! \o/

i should have tell you about their Ueno place (which is one of the coolest) but i didn't knew where was your hotel

since ten they performed at supergames song live, have a 3rd one man live, released their 8th single, released their 2nd one man live DVD, releasd some HMV special remix release... also group was listed for TIF2012 and as for not so great news Karen announced she will be on hitus for only god knows why since "poor health" means nothing (but from twitter comments might not be very bad... sounds like Louise case)

Just returned from the Afilia Restaurant in Ikebukuro!

Very pleasant. There were three girls and it wasnt that busy. My waitress was Will or something, very cute.
She was nervous about not knowing any English, but we managed to talk in Japanese just fine. The other girls also came over to have a talk.
I had the burger set, very tasty. I am know a blue ribbon member with one Afilia Coin lol.
They were so surprised I knew ASE and the names of the girls haha.
The place looks very nice, like an old library with tim burton meets debussy music in the background.

I will try to go to the Ueno one tomorrow, hoping to meet Karen.

I also saw their PB for sale at Animate. It is a hardcover which explains the price. I might buy it if I have enough left over...

Sounds great, i think i will visit the Ikebukuro one during my trip to japan in August.
Is it really ok for visitors like me who do not speak much Japanese?

Yeah, definitely go and check it out. They are very friendly.

They will give you the story of Afilia in very broken English haha.
There is also a guide of all the girls working there and they point out who is who etc.
The menu has pictures so that should be no problem.

I did not go to the Ueno one today because they were not open yet when i was there and I was too tired to hang around or go back. Maybe tomorrow
