I can't wait either! as long as its got their heart in it I'm sure I'll find interest in it! Whether its about women being happy on their own or whether its about them finding happiness in their own way, it seems like a good way to start it out for the full 8th gen. Aika's work so far has been good so lets see 8th as a team!

Nah, it's got nothing to do with watermarking. It's very simple HTML technique where they put the actual image in the background and use a transparent GIF called blank.gif as overlay. The url to the real image can been found in the source.
Back on topic: I noticed that the photocard comes with the first press of the SingleV DVD and not with the regular CD single. This is a first?

Are we even sure these lyrics are for real? I ask because I have seen some of these (with different lines and different distribution, with JunJun and LinlIn getting from 0 to 3 lines each) on 2ch since June 1st. As far as I know (and I have asked my japanese friends) there has been no radio preview or any preview of this song, so where does these lyrics come from? By the way, my japanese friends think they are made up by 2ch posters. So I will wait until a proper radio rip appears before talking about it.

The only thing that keeps it from being plausible are Takahashi's line, which are totally sung with an accent. Unless Tsunku dropped a fork this time, those lyrics are made up.

I like the song :D and I love that the 3 latest song have been really great, but one thing pisses me off and that is Eri getting no lines. She got one line in this song, one line, that's like nothing.

I'm with reyfer, although I did sense the eurobeat or videogame BGM, thats no reason for me to not like it :D Those aspects alone is what made me like Genki+, which also had a similar formula.

^ I have to agree completely. If you listen to Junjun's singing clip and the Linlin clips from earlier...Linlin is definately better. Linlin is better than a lot of H!P members and Junjun's voice had more of that cute aspect to it(liek sayu's has) which is actually the line where i went 'what the hell, was that sayu?? O.o' and got really confused lol.

What I personally like about H!P songs is that you can hear many different vocals (hasn't really happened lately in MM), so this song doesn't sound so good to me. I have nothing against Takahashi getting many lines, if the others lines would just stand out a bit more.
Oh well, Lin Lin and Jun Jun are great (and as I have listened the handshake event, I think the coding is wrong) and I'm still happy to hear something new. If only this song had something that would make it stay in my mind, I might like it more. Waiting to see the PV.

The song is pretty good, the Eri-JunJun-LinLin lines at the end sound really good and I've got the feeling the dance will be cool, can't say the same about the outfits though...
And btw, I think the second voice sounds more like LinLin, which means LinLin is a little disappointing and JunJun pretty impressing, but I don't know why I think it will turn the tables again in the lives.

hm the eurobeat/house sound is getting a bit old now. For sexy boy it was ok, for genki + as an album opener it sounded ok, but to reuse this style as a single release is a bit too easy. I hoped for a more funky summery arrangement, considering the fashionable outfits. Well , the vocals are at least good ! And a good PV can even make a difference.

I'm not very much into the jpop world but I think the competition isn't very very tough however I'd say the major threats are Otsuka Ai, SEAMO and OLIVIA(mostly Otsuka).

After 2 singles of almost equal lyric distribution we slide back to the more offset lyric distribution... not really a thing good or bad... as its mostly a choice for the music... the beat makes it hard for me to notice the difference between some of the closer voices but it seems like an interesting song. I'm glad this one doesn't make my head spin as much as genki+ did as a song, but I wish to see a PV before I start passing total judgement on the song. That and I want to attempt lyric understanding as well. I feel since I lack in the musical expertise I can get a better feeling for it by getting the words.
Otsuka and OLIVIA releasing stuff on the same day... I hope the wotas are ready to battle...lol

Which chorus? For the first one it's "出会うための準備する期間 (deau tame no junbi suru kikan)" and for the second one "そうじゃなけりゃ不公平すぎる (sou ja nakerya fukouhei sugiru)." I was going by the kanji posted on JPM (which I believe was copied from 2ch), so I don't know how accurate it is (it sounds right to me, though).

OLIVIA's highest selling single sold 20,162 the first week at #8. Her highest ever ranking was #7.
Kanashimi Twilight sold 53,551 the first week. Otsuka Ai sells much more than MoMusu, but more than half her sales come after the first week, so I suppose #1 is possible if Otsuka's song is unpopular and most of Miki/Yossi's fans didn't leave/more people buy because of JJ and LL.

Where is the Eri love though? Why does she never get many lines? D: It's so annoying how weaker singers get more lines *doesnotmentionKoharu* and she gets stuck with one measly line. She's a decent singer and it's so frusterating that she never gets many lines. That looks like it... it says firstpress A and B... and what i would assume to be the regular and then the big one says single V... must say it doesn't look that bad... the regular one looks a little funny with the way they are splattered about but overall nice.

Don't you just love conspiracy theories? The pic is not photoshopped, just that they picked one where Eri was a little separated from the others. They shot the cover again once Miki was out, that is if Miki was ever on the cover to begin with. I read somewhere that the shooting for the CD jacket was two or three days after Miki's resignation.

I'm under the belief of ear that Ai only has double her normal lines because she had to take up all of miki's planned lines. I don't think thats any fault of anyone in the group... or even miki or tsunku, its just how things turned out with how they had things planned and how they needed to rearrange it. Listening to it, its hard to make the distinctions between when Ai or not because it seems like lines are encased in Ai (with what could be Reina/koharu/risa imbetween)... But I've never been good at voice distinction in songs at first.
I now wonder if they'll find ways to put in multiple versions like they did with KT or if we'll only see the original and the close up... the wonder.... I love having so many different versions of KT to watch

I think the arrangement kind of took the easy way out, though i still quite like it. (all i need is synth :roll:)

they're rather similar... the loneliness of dusk, the sting of betrayal, the wistful longing, the aftermath of passion etc etc
of course with onna ni sachi are coming after, it's like a new sun is rising. (which is kinda ironic what with this being the pandas' first... but it works really well as a momusu omen)

Otsuka Ai sells much more than MoMusu, but more than half her sales come after the first week, so I suppose #1 is possible if Otsuka's song is unpopular and most of Miki/Yossi's fans didn't leave/more people buy because of JJ and LL.
But both Otsuka Ai and RIP SLYME will have the advantage of a big publicity push this weekend, since they will both be part of the Tokyo part of the Live Earth concerts this Saturday.
The Tokyo concert will have Otsuka Ai, Rip Slyme, Kumi Koda, Ayaka, Rize, Ai, Linkin Park, Rihanna, Cocco, Genki Rockets, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Abingdon Boys School, UA, Bonnie Pink and Michael Nyman.

Aichan pwnage throughout... lookin' smokin' and mmm at the very end. Weird that they put Klutz II as the dance lead though. The dance is somewhat amusing again... but that's what you get with H!P.

The pv really isn't how I imagined it would be, but I kinda like it too. Always in the same trend as Egao Y Nude and KT. The dance is really energic and I really like it. I think it could have been a little less cheap, but since all of their last pvs have been like that, we should get used to it.

Just saw the PV. Looks like they're going for a "trance" type of sound with this song. Personally I don't think the outfits really fit the song, though. They look like something you'd see in a Mardi Gras parade or something like that.

I just watched it once but the PV looks rushed, like they didn't actually make a real PV. Might be from the mouth movements looking awkward at times and the editing. But I didn't like the cheapness of it. :-\ They were just on this stage, like in a gay bar or cabaret type place. Some of them are too young for that scene. :lol:

She, Eri, and Junjun have the best silent 'bakas,' I think.
I was never a huge Junjun fan before this PV, honestly, but in those shots where she's singing with Linlin, she REALLY caught my eye.
And the dance is great.
My gripes-- baaaad choice for Reina to do the two beginning 'baka's there. As Angelus said, her teeth look TERRIBLE. Not that they didn't before-- but those really don't need their own closeup. And sugary, happy Koharu... was such a strange choice for the dancer in the middle. LOTS of Takahashi, but on a good note, I honestly think she looked great. In the shots where she's sitting down with Sayumi, she really gave the impression of-- "leader of MM, GOT IT? Mess with my girls and DIE. >O"
Anyway, bottom line, I actually really liked it.

It's an okay PV. I like the dancing and everyone looks great (especially Junjun :heart: :heart: and Eri). I don't really like the recycled-from-The-Peace outfits and the mouthed "baka"s were kind of weird and distracting. But I could deal with that if they removed Koharu from the middle. bleh. Love it! This is the best Studio PV in a while. This has solidified my love for 8th gen. I didn't think LinLin looked THAT much like Ayaka before but after seeing this PV.... whoa man. She was Ayaka to the extreme.

Personally I woulda thought this song woulda been one of those awesome songs to have a clear story line to it, but MM probably have a policy against allowing MM to have other people in their PVs now...LOL (joking joking).

-This is the first time I've felt that Ai's short hair look has been more sexy than cute
-Aika doesn't look like she can look made and say "baka" which makes her adorable
-Reina matches the attitude of the song very well (Angry, Aggressive, but still hopeful)
-Sayu was still cute but has very angry looking eyebrows sometimes (not that I didn't notice it earlier but it works for this song)
-Risa and Eri is gorgeous in this although they don't get screen time facing forward much
-Chun seems to get the less focus camera angle...but is still nice to see! especailly cause of her height you can tell where she is ^^
-Lin does have a sort of ayaka vibe but she looks different enough to make her place I think... she scares me a little with her look sometimes
-Koharu.... honestly because of her wide eyes and her face shape I have a hard time thinking she's angry (like during the baka moments) and it seems more like she's pouting.
I like the song more now that I have visuals to attach to... but I hope like aruiteru, ambitious, sexyboy, etc. they have a different set of outfits for stage performances. Not that I don't like the yellow, but seeing something different for the stage would be awesome. It was kind cool seeing the Diamond and slim ambitious set, and the marching band looking aruiteru.
With the latest theme being "Guys suck" sorta... makes me wonder how long before we get a cheery song or a kind song for a lead... But I won't think ahead as I'm enjoying the moment

I like the coreography a lot but the costumes don't fit at all. Everyone looks good, and even though I don't like the idea of Koharu being in the center she did pretty good in the dance shots(for Koharu, that is). I liked it when Eri kicked and someone don't know who it is) ducked under her leg, but makes me think it could be a little dangerous in the lives especially with Eri's legs :P
I'm really looking forward to watch the lives, and although it's not very likely I hope they get cooler outfits for them.

The video stinks. I really like the techno in the song but the only good/cool thing about the is the silent "BAKA" other than the the costumes look like the ones from "the peace". I guess now that Miki & Hitomi are gone Koharu & Ai our now the center members? I can live with that as long as aika is not the only 8th gen. She aint special enough for it. I hope the next PV is better.

I'm an opinionated sod, and since I'm addicted to the song and want to learn the dance, I've watched the pV way too much and have come to the following conlcusions in my own biased opinion. :)
The set is absolutely gorgeous! <3333 It's the best set in a PV since god knows how long, possibly Irropoi Jirittai. I don't know. I love the floor and ceiling, and all the gold in the close ups. It looks really nice. Five stars! XD
The hair styles are brilliant again, minus the feathers. Eri's long hair grew on my in this PV, it looks really nice, thank god, since Eri always seems to get the less impressive hair cuts some how. The costumes themselves are ghastly though. x_x I hate the feathers, they are horrible, it reminds me of CanCan dancers, and MoMusu are infinately more talented and too pretty to be associated with such people X__x;
The dance is great, I can see people in dance classes in Japan learning it, which means more publicity regarding teens and children and what not XD However, Koharu should not be the lead, firstly as there are more talented dancers than her in MoMusu. Sayu is a very good dancer and since she didn't have much too do, she should have been more central I think. She needs a centre dance part, it makes up for her lack of singing skill. Koharu's too CHEERFUL! In cuter, happy songs she's perfect but throughout this she pouted or smiled - or looked like she was trying not to smile. It drove me crazy >__< I hope to god in live performances she isn't going smile all the time because it doesn't fit.
Junjun and Linlin rawked. They really did. I think they are going to fit in very well. <333

The song's good, the PV's okay, the costumes are horrid. The fact that they still manage to look good dressed like cabana rejects is a testament to THE HAWTNESS.

My guess is the overall camera work of this PV, it's a lot different than most, getting many side shots and aiming higher on the face when shooting them directly. They didn't want them to be seen from a natural look, so with those two they made it the opposite and created the illusion of a taller LinLin

I liked it! Just before watching it I honestly thought I was going to get bored with it and not care but boy did I turn out to be wrong. The song is great but I do agree the costumes were horrible, sort of like the ones from the end part of The Peace. I thought after Kanashimi Twilight that they would ease up on the whole uniformed look from now on but unfortunately I was wrong.
I totally forgot JunJun and LinLin were in this, not bad. Eri looked soo hot, lately she's been reminding me of Rika back when she had her hair black. Sayumi did look a little bit rounder but thats fine. I just realized I don't remember seeing Aika in it.

First, I ABSOLUTELY love the song, I'm running the PV nonstop the whole time I'm at home XD
I also loved the choreography, the moves are energetic and good looking and make me wanna dance! Those look just so cool.
My review of the PV:
My favorite parts are:
-The chorus, starting at 1:04, I love how junjun looks at 1:06, she's gorgeous and she's moving pretty good.
-The part around 3:18, Takkitty is giving the best singing in the song, while there is a subtle boom sound and the girls start going a bit down, looks pretty cool.
-Risa's solo, I love the way she looks.
-The ending of the video, Takkity owns :wub:
I expected more of linlin, specially after hearing her excellent singing in those fan recordings, but to be fair, she only has one short line and we haven't listened to her live yet, and the lines both new girls share sound pretty good. Anyway, I think they're both good additions to MM's lineup.
Takkity looks more mature now, the way she acts, she's everybody's senpai now, but she also looks like the girls' pimp She has that look "Don't touch ma bitches!" XD
Eri owns too, it was damn about time, the edit of the cameras when they show her from the side was genius. More camera for her, isn't what everybody wanted?
Reina, it's nice having you back. She looked pretty sharp, and she was in the spotlight a couple times. She exagerates a bit on the baka part, but it's fine for me.
Sayu has too little camera time too, but she looks stunning when she appears, she's so pretty, specially since she gained some weight, I love how she looks now :wub:. (Hope I can see her a bit more on performances)
Finally, I'm REALLY glad that Miki isn't in this single, to be honest, she's a terrible dancer (because she never tries her best), I heard she has some back problems, that could be the reason.... Anyway, she wouldn't be able to perform so intensive dancing and she would TOTALLY look out of place, specially since she usually looks bored on performances.... (Maybe she decided to quit when she tried the dancing... lazy girl :P)

(6) Hate the outfit, please don't wear it for Music Station (if they wear it to MS, it must be a punishment for me as I laughed at Kanjani8's colorful zebra outfit during Music Station). Even C-ute can have different outfit for performance. Is this what Tsunku meant by trendy? I hope not.
(7) Aichan grow your hair again please. Her hair annoys me to some point I want to skip the PV during her closeup. Usually with her long hair I love to watch her closeup.
(8 ) It's Aichan feat. Pandas, Kirari, and other girls. Aichan's singing doesn't impress me in Onna ni Sachi Are. I don't know, it just strikes me that her voice doesn't really match with the song. :lol:
(9) The song seems pretty mediocre and some parts sound bland. The lyric isn't bad though.

In my view, I think Tsunku tried to put Koharu as a new Miki. Her hair looks like Miki's also XD Still don't know what is she doing on MM, her voice doesn't suit with the others, sounds like a chipmunk.

I wouldn't mind much about the outfit if this is their concert outfits, but for PV or TV performances, they should wear better outfit, IMO.

The first thought I had as soon as the PV started was "Woah, The Peace!." I was half expecting toilet bowls to start appearing :lol:
It was surprising to see Reina in the first scene. Where's the Ai pimping? I soon regretted asking that question. Every other scene thereafter was Ai-chan, no doubt her vehicle, as usual. Too bad they curled her hair which made her look worse than she really is. Considering how she got about 70% of the screentime, they could have at least gave her a nicer hairstyle. The Ai-chan I know can certainly look much, much better :yep:
It's about time they let Reina out from the celler they stuffed her in. YAY to her getting 3rd lead (I'm guessing 3rd after Ai and Koharu). Which makes me wonder, why was she taken off front girl position after Ambitious? Both dancing and singing are done with no problems but she was overdoing a little on the baka bit.
To see Koharu in the middle for a fair bit was a pleasant surprise. I 'd always liked the girl, whether as Kirari or spazzy miracle girl. But this is the first time I realized she could dance! Oh god, I would have probably kept my eyes glued on her throughout if I wasn't trying so hard to spot Risa :mon sweat:
What can I say about Gaki-san besides the fact that I absolutely adore her....*ponders a little* Oh I know, how about that she got shoved into the back and side AGAIN. I was hoping to see more of her after the untimely resignation of Miki but alas I was left disappointed. Well at least they had the decency to include some awesome shots of her dancing :wriggly:
Sayumi looks good, no doubt about that. She has got to be one of the prettiest in the current line-up, that's why her I'm-too-cute-for-the-world persona never annoyed me. She has every right to be narcissistic :mon heh: This time she looked really great just lounging there, possibly even overshadowing Ai. I can't comment on her dance since I couldn't see the faces of anyone past the first row.
What I think about Eri could be summarized in one word.... WOW. She's has never been the highest on my list but there's no denying Kame has come a long way. Is this really the same shy girl who hid in tight spaces? And I had originally thought she had reached her personal best in KT. I couldn't have been more wrong about that. Give the girl more lines! She can sing, dance, is gorgeous, has a great figure and is pretty funny during shows if given the chance. Put her back in front girl position. It has been too long since Chokkan.
Aika....well....I really don't know. I didn't notice her much in the pair shots since she was with Risa and there's no way I could tear my eyes away from Risa :shy1: Trying to spot her during scenes of the dance is practically impossible. Everyone's faces were blurry and the tons of feathers weren't helping. But there is one thing I can say about
the only 8th gen member from Japan, she can sing.
I never thought I'll say this but Jun2 actually looks pretty good. Better in the shots with Lin2 than in the close-ups. It could be due to the fact that her semi-side face looks way better or perhaps it's just cuz they had to draw those scary eye make-up on Lin2. Her singing voice is kinda nice and she sounds really competant as compared to Lin2. But still, it isn't really fair to judge them now with only one line each.
I'm quite alright with Lin2 as a whole. She seems too enthusiastic some times but hey, it's better to have an eager beaver new member then someone who's pulling a face the whole time right? And no, I'm not talking about Miki :whistle: Also, did anyone else find her voice to sound extremely similiar to Sayumi?
All in all, I like the song, the girls all look good (so I can forgive the PV being a ripoff of The Peace) but can somebody tell them the heaps of feathers are really distracting? They could be potentially hazardous to people in the audience who are asthmatic :wahaha:

I'm glad she finally changed it. I remember when Kanashimi Twilight's PV came out, I told someone 'i wish they'd change her hairstyle already!' coz it got soooo boring to see her with the same length and style for so long. Her look got boring to me, because she looked the same for too long XD
So I'm really glad she changed it. And it looks very mature and stylish too. The only bad thing, in my opinion, is that now she looks out of place with the rest of the current Momusu, coz the others look too young and boring in comparison XD

well in her defence, I really don't think this single has an aika feel to it. of course, she should learn to henshin ago-go but if it were that easy, everybody would be takahashi. she looks a fish out of water in the baka segments and in magazine shots other musume are doing their best to look fashionable but aika just looks out of sorts.
I am starting to like her and her both-gremlin-and-mogwai-at-once ness.
I think Linlin isn't very photogenic. I mean this as a compliment, as in her photos don't seem to do her justice.

I simply have to agree. The shortest her hair has ever been is when she first joined Momusu. This was a good change for her, as I think that it makes her look more sophisticated, which is a good look for a leader. Of course, some people may think that longer hair is more mature looking, but that's where we all have our different opinions, I guess. Maybe she'll grow it back out . . .

I just barely watched the pv right now. Everything about it was recycled from previous singles, which is a total let down. The jacked the costumes and lighting from The Peace, and brought parts of the set of Ambitious and Egao Yes Nude to a new location. The song is even worse than I remember, just boring. Though I really liked the part when the music cut and it was just Aichan singing. The dancing was pretty nice too, but nothing really special.
All the girls looked totally hot though, especially Eri and Chun Li. They oozed hotness with the perfect amount of cute. Aichan was also hot as always, but I found her hotter on previous PV's.

This is the song I would call "interesting" after Ambitious, it instantly grew on me. (But too much Takahashi...) The PV looks so Peace-ish and cheap, though (haven't downloaded it, just saw some screenshots).

That the peace comparison thing gets interesting though because if you think about it, anybody joining into the Musume interest now could see the reference at some point and go... hey wait a sec... none of these girls are those girls.... because The Peace was the last single before the 5kkies joined, and they are now the top... so its like... wow, when I realized that I watched the peace and I watched onna ni sachi are and I was kinda in an odd sort of awe... cause if it was intentional its kinda ingenious and if it was accidental...its just wow...freaky.

FINALLY A LIVE~
I've been so excited for this. XD
I loved it live. Made me even more addicted to the song. I hate when they don't have them sing live, so I was 100% satisfied with everyone's singing. It's so much more fun to watch than it would've been if it had been lip synched.
Risa, Aika, and the Pandas all caught my attention in this live. Maybe I'm a little biased there, but Aika did awesome, I was a little worried for Junjun in the beginning but she did awesome by the end, Linlin broke out some pretty sweet dancing (and she's so awesome in front of the camera), and Risa's move right around 1:28-1:29 was just like-- BAM! HERE I AM! out of nowhere. It was awesome. XD
The only gripe I have is about some of the camera work. Obviously it's gonna be different than PVs and stuff, and it's cool that we get more closeups, but sometimes that makes some of the dance steps lose their effects (especially the ones around 0:21 and on). But I just noticed that 'cause I'm a big fan of this dance. But anyway~
Overall = YAY.

Performance was nice, the girls sung a little too hard on their mics at times (Takahashi was on point though, not a bias).
And damn, crotch shot at the end, but it was totally wasted on Koha XD Any girl but Koha~ (and Aika and Lin Lin or whatever JB girls there are)

I don't think this single will sell as much as KT.. I think somewhere between 35000 and 40000 in the first week. MM losing Yoshi and Miki will be a factor.. anyway, it is a big factor for me because I don't like the 8th gen members that much..

I'm not impressed with how the vocals sounded for it... I don't necessarily blame them (after all their HM@ performances are probably the first done so that they are ready for the other programs), but the sound system people seemed to have balance issues... like why did Reina's solo line seem so muted? Was she that her singing to far from the mic or something? And maybe Ai was singing really close to her mic? I dunno seemed odd to me is all.

I really don't get why some people don't like this dresses. Every girl and woman I have shown the pics to (almost 20 people between 13 years old to my mom at 57) said they look great. As a matter of fact, two cousins and three aunts, plus seven neighbors, are using the pics (printed some for them) to have clothes made for them.

Also that the girls have appeared in more attractive/trendier outfits.

I'm always commenting on their fashion... and no I'm not gay... Why can't a straight guy be nerdy and have a sense of fashion or know something about women's fashion? But I guess it isn't common.
The main issue for me are the prints and not really the design as a whole, people have their own tastes, so opinions will vary. I did say some of their dresses look nice, so I'm not saying I hate them all.

But when someone else doesn't have a favorable opinion on them, you really can't sway them to think otherwise, nor can you gonna get a satisfying answer as to why they don't like them. So its fruitless to question others opinions on it.

Being a H!P & JE fan, i must say you're right. Just check the past Top 100 singles of the year and almost all of them were Johnny's, especially in the Top 10. We all know that H!P doesn't sell very nice in music but yes in merchandise, photobooks and etc. So yeah, we are glad Momusu is selling very nice on their first day! :D
(lol is really hard to be a H!P & JE fan, especially in moments like this~)

And that 12000 number is an index number, so to get the actual sales you have to multiply for 1.75, which is close to 22000 sales for the first day, it's less than KT first day sales, but remember that KT dropped dramatically (it had most of its sales the first days cause of the handshake event, and it was yossie's last single). I'm almost positive that onna ni sachi are will have steady sales, I'm not sure if it'll surpass KT's sales, but I damn hope so.
I also hope MM has #1 spot for the week, but that may be a bit harder, since Ai Otsuka has more casual fans. But something that could help MM is that Otsuka's Peach, sucks ass :lol: (and I mean it, I can't seem to like it, not one bit...)

That's not actually easy. Let me say PEACH is a drama song and usually, drama themes seems to sell pretty well. And it's harder because Hana Kimi is a very popular drama. But if MM has luck, they'll stay in TOP 10 for a long time~ :DDDD :)

I liked their Utaban performance of the song, but I did not like the talk. What disappointed me is not the girls (they have the best attitude and really want to participate), but the hosts then focus the whole show on the OG. You can really see the expressions on some of the girls' faces, they were not happy. Man, on the previous show they had them playing a dumb drum game, and on this they have them just as "sidekicks". I find myself wishing they won't go to Utaban anymore.

That's sad for me to read. I love Nakai and Ishibashi, but someone needs to tell them to get with the program and all. Hopefully Morning Musume will have better appearances on that show in the future.

That is sad considering it's Ai and Risa's first single as Leader and Sub Leader. I wanted to see them get a lot of attention as what were considered the youngest at a point and become leaders to those around them so suddenly. :/

I wanted more of them... folly of time I guess. To have to compress it all into one ball of stuff instead of letting them be their own entities.

I mean it, at least Taka should try to interact with them, some of them may surprise him, but if they're not given a chance, what can they do? I mean, this show could have been great from a comedic point of view: two new, foreign members plus the girl that usually was seen as "spaced out" as leader.... I can imagine thousands of comedic situations there.... but they bring the OG ( don't get me wrong, I love Maki and Kaori and Nacchi) and forget about the current group. Just take a look at Aichan's face during the little question game, it's almost like "why are we here?"

QFT! Taka-san and Nakai are the hosts of the show, it's their job to interact with their guests. If they're not trying and not giving the new lineup a chance, well OF COURSE they're going to think they're dull compared to the OGs. See, with the OGs, they gave them a chance to come out of their shells, so to speak. Now they need to do so with the current lineup. :yep:
On a related note, I LOVE the CGI effects that the Utaban production guys put in the show. In this ep, the killer was when Taka/Nakai opened the door and the wavy "IRRASHAIMASE~! :heart:" came out! Then they shut the door, only to have Aichan open it again and again go "IRRASHAIMASE! :heart:" :lol:

In fairness though, they've given Takahashi a lot of chances to be funny or interesting over the years (especially in the beginning) but she blows it every single time. I mean, I like her and think she's probably the prettiest girl that's been in MM, but she doesn't have the charsima needed for the talk shows.

If they don't try, they will not know if something changed. And also they don't have to focus on one girl, there are 9 to choose from, and being comedians, they should realize the potential for laughter of the two gaikokujins. Come on, think about it: Taka, Nakai, and two girls with limited language knowledge..... see? I bet you got at least two skit ideas in your mind right now. :D

Couldn't the girls just interrupt and speak up? Screw etiquette, if you want attention, demand it. I know thats how Makoto caught my attention when she did these types of shows. I think Yaguchi got where she is now hosting several shows just by being so vocal on her own. I love Ai (so much its even creeping me out) but like that other guy said, she and the rest blew it.
Anyways, Johnson was there and you know Ishibashi wouldn't pass up on the chance to tease her. Hell, you can see how fast he went from MM to poking her. Get him in a crowded room.. throw in Yasuda, Nakazawa, or Kaori and you know where Ishibashi is going.

I´m a total OG fan but.... this was quite dissapointing. It´s ok to talk to Kaori, since she had some great news to talk about. But well, the "ne waratte" thing has been seen like ten thousand times on Utaban. Why waste time on remembering the same things as always instead of using that time talking with the current Momusu?
I felt pretty sad about them just looking to their faces. :(

I was just meaning Takahashi. As far as the other members go you're right, I don't think they've been given enough chances, especially Eri, Michishige and Niigaki (who's probably the biggest loudmouth (I mean that in a good way :lol:) in MM since Yaguchi. You don't have to try hard to make them entertaining but I think the hosts have just grown bored with MM in general and don't want to put in much effort. Shame really, because Utaban used to be where they made their best appearances.

There were some moments in utaban history where they've gone good with some of the generation they have now.... sorta... my memory is a little fuzzy but remember the days when they had the gameshow thing where ishibashi and johnson and mari were having to figure out what they were writing about.... and you got things like CD stands for Casette Demotape... and how Mochi looks like abunai... and boxes and what not?... I think thats rather funny...
They just need to cut all the lines and force ishibashi and nakai to make use of the musume now. I'm sure the musume could try harder I guess... I mean to be fair they could be more silly I suppose... to try to get attention.
Its a shame MM dived a bit... maybe they'll make a recovery after the Utaban and stuff like that!... maybe?... I hope...

It was a bad set-up to begin with. Everytime OG's are there, they automatically take more priority over the newer girls.

I mean, there were plenty of times in the past where the hosts did reach out to these girls, maybe by teasing them or whatnot, in an attempt to get something funny out of them, but the girls didn't know what to do with it. Maybe after all of that trying and being funny on their part, they just gave up since it was rarely being reciprocated. So it's the girls responsibility now to make the hosts, and the public like them, and wish to interact with them. You aren't always going to be given a chance, and so you have to make one for yourself. I really just think that the current line-up doesn't want it enough.

lol they're there because they're the ones with a song to perform. UFA or some other asshat just thought it was wise to piggyback Kinentai with them. Idk why they can't just have them go on Utaban on their own when their single finally drops. It wasn't all negatives though, if it's worth anything, atleast the new girls got some guidance from Kaori.

I kinda think the reason none of the girls know what to do when they get tossed a bone by either Taka or Nakai because they aren't used to it. Looking at older episodes, every time, even after fifth and sixth gen joined, it was still all about Kei or Johnson or sometimes Nacchi. Most of the girls in the group right now probably grew used to just sitting back and letting Taka and Nakai take their shots at the OGs...but since they don't have any OGs anymore, that doesn't work out.

Present Utaban had lost some of its attraction (Games, CG, new ideas). To me, they're just bringing back old stuff again and again, the same episode every year. I agree with everyone who said Utaban was disappointing. The pandas were cute for their intro at the beginning, but other than that, the current lineup didn't get a chance. Why did some dumbass decide to put the OGs in MM's ep instead of giving them their own when the Kinentai single was released? I felt bad seeing the current girls just sitting there useless. I don't blame the hosts but whoever decided to put them in the same ep :kickass:
It sucks that they've fallen behind Otsuka. I love Aichin, but Onna is a much better song than Peach, imo.

^^ Well I can actually say Onna ni Sachi has finally grown on me, hearing the radio rip the first couple times I was like, eh, but now I think I can get into it. Glad to see if anyone is beating MM it's Ai-chin, she's my fav j-soloist out there, and you are right about peach, although I think her B side Heart shoulda been the A side as it's that much better than peach.
And about the Utaban episode, although it's definitely not as good as the old MM utaban's, I didn't think it was too bad, despite the fact that the current gen didn't get much shine. I think they could've done something way better than going through old utaban clips mainly Johnson ones, but I didn't see the current lineup as depressed about it as you all are saying.

I'm rooting for Onna ni Sachi Are single for the #1 weekly spot. nothing against Otsuka Ai, she is definitely cute and a great artist, but i just don't feel peach that much. but even so, with Peach at #1, looks like Onna will most likely get the #2 spot. still continuing on their top 10, top 5 streak.
about the Utaban, it's dissapointing for the current line up, for sure. the main point is to promote the new single, but they didn't even really had the chance to do so. it's more like a promotion for the MM 10th's 2nd single than the current MM. and Koharu and Niigaki didn't even had a chance to talk even when they're apart to the subgroup too. someone could've planned it better. i wanna know more about the current lineup and the new members than i do of the OG. not that i don't like them, it just they should've had their own appearances. I feel sorry for the girls. they seem so bored and neglected. i wish i could've been there to comfort them. hopefully their appearance on other shows will make it better.

The Utaban episode, from the parts that I've seen, is pretty disappointing. I understand that OG has a lot of fun memories with that show, and I know that Kaori's pregnancy is big news, but I don't think they should've devoted 3 minutes of clips to old MM moments from the show. I've seen them before. I want to see the new MM line-up do those kind of funny things and not just be pushed to the side.
I don't have anything against the Maki, Nacchi, and Kaori, it's just they shouldn't have been scheduled at the same time as the current MM, because all attention was on them once they came in. It even seemed like Nacchi was trying to direct some attention to the current MM-- Risa and Koharu, at least-- when she was saying they were in the 10th anniversary group too, but the hosts seemed to pretty much brush that off.
And I honestly think the current girls were holding their own when they were given the attention. Ai's head popping through the door at the beginning made me totally burst out laughing, and the conversations they had with Junjun and Linlin were fantastic.

They use it as "Older Generations" but in Japan OG (old girl) is a term used to refer to female alumni from a university, graduate female students. For males they use OB (old boy). Last year Yuko said on a show that they use it as "Older Generations" because she doesn't like to be called old girl :D

I'm a little miffed about Utaban too. Either they let the current line-up talk or let Tanjo talk. Not show ancient clips and talk to 3/5 of Tanjo :angry: I mean it is the Onna Ni Sachi Are promo slot. To think Taka(whatever) slams the current girls as having no personality. It's kinda hard to show how fun they can be just by sitting in the back row. It's not like the girls didn't try. They had the reactions, the loud voices and said things. But all that's no use without a chance.

i really think! aichan's irasshaimase was a good entrance, it was funny! But the turn of events on UTABAN was not good, they focused on Johnson...., I even think JunJun is funny ! i did not understood any of what she said but her reactions and responses were lively!, LinLin is also good since she has the guts to make her way into the conversation while the others were speaking and she made them laugh, by saying that "demo Hosoi" somethinng..which i can interpret as "but she is thin" (im not sure).
Maybe Taka and Nakai or the people at Utaban saw the girls' potential already but they cant get off course as everything on utaban is planned. Well maybe next time they can give them a chance to speak and show that the new MM still lives!

I'm not home right now, and my dictionaries are not here with me, but it basically says that with their 34th single getting #1 on first day, it is a great achievement for the new leader Takahashi and the new chinese members, and that it makes now 11 times they have debuted at #1, and maybe I'm mistaken but there's something about announcing next week their rank and I think it says 3, and that it's a positive trend for them.

The problem is, if you have been following JPOP news in the last years, that the other labels wait for Zetima to announce their releases, and they announce accordingly. At least it has been like that for two years, I remember last year AVEX waited for the GAM release announcement to release Koda Koumi's singles, and same with Utada (or was it Hamasaki?) waiting for the Matsuura release date to release the same day. So maybe they know who will release, but the trick is to know when, and also who will announce first.

Everytime they release its against the odds of something or another (I mean Kinki Kids with Kanashimi was a hard battle) but they stick to it the best they can and rank up high! Morning Musume keeps rolling~ and they deserve to be happy for doing as well as they do!

yah i guess MoMusu will have these tough competitors competing for the top spot. and from how things are said, seems that that other labels purposely release their singles in the same week as MoMusu for some reason. But despite that, they were still able to take part in the Top 10 position, which is extraordinary. That proves that MoMusu are tough competitors too and is here to stay.... and it not just the top 10, but in the top 5 and most is even in the top 3 spot. their are the group to be reckon with.

there's no doubt Ai Otsuka's PEACH will get to #1, its becuase it is the ending theme of a very popular dorama currently airing in japan ryt now. Hana Kimi or hanazakari o Kimitachi he. It is being played on TV every week. and the dorama was really good too so thats how otsuka hets the #1 spot (IMO)

A japanese friend sent me this, saying Oricon is great to know how many CDs are sold, but that a song's popularity is seen in different ways. This is from TV Hokkaido, a show called PLAY DJ aired yesterday. Even if for Oricon this single is now at #36, in Hokkaido is #4 http://www.sendspace.com/file/qt63j2 As I said, this ranking is from yesterday.
And he also says that on some radio stations the song is listed as #3 on their rankings, while other stations have it at #5.

I agree, but as I said on both the previous posts I made, Oricon is a great indicator, but a song may be more popular than Oricon's chart placement may suggest, that's all. Some of the best and most remembered songs in western music never made it to Billboard's #1. Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" only got #9 on US charts. Just an example :oops:

recently, about two weeks ago, it was out of print and four weeks ago, when it was released it was out of print because a lot of people pre-order it... but now it have it again...???

so they reprinting Limited Editions ?! ...... what's the point about being a "Limited Edition" ? ..............

Maybe they forgot to open a box of their stock haha.. or maybe some couldn't pay the bill or something.
I hope the KT with booklet becomes available again, missed out on that one..

^when it says "out-of-print" in CDjapan, it really means its just not available anymore. They can get a new stock if they looked from their sources more, but thats too much of a hassle and counter-productive unless there was a high demand for it.
For instance, Yuna Ito's Losin' You and Stuck on You singles were limited to 50,000 copies each, however they only sold less than 10,000 or something. There are 40,000 more to be grabbed in various retailers.

RionZ, like you said other retailer do sell them...Like yesasia for example...but they do sell them at a higher price than cdjapan...also this is the third time where it became available after it said "Out of Stock" a couple of weeks ago...
