Singing the theme song I can believe, but actually being the pink team member? We all know she's a big geek and is a fan of the toku/sentai genre, but this might be a bit much, methinks. I do remember an interview she did a couple of years back where she said it was one of her dreams/fantasies as a kid to be the pink ranger, so that could be it.

The costumes definitely have an old-school/Showa-era vibe to them.

Must say I didn't like Kuuga at all when watching it. I only watched 2-3 episodes and stopped.

Yet re-watching it now, I seem to like it a lot more.
It isn't helping me watch Shinkenger/W though. Think I'm like 20 episodes behind on those already...

Update: Not really related, but... +2 points for anybody who recognized Mizuho Hata acting the reporter for ~30seconds in Shinkenger episode 36.

Holiday gifts from TV-N! Not only have they released Shinkenger Ep 43 SD, but they've also released the Magiranger Movie in HD, AND now that it's come out on DVD, they're apparently now going to be doing GOSEI SENTAI DAIRANGER!!!

TENSHIN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! As awesome as this is, I really hope they're not stretching themselves too thin by picking up yet another series.

I LOL'ed that the blue member is so much taller and looks more "leader-like" (IMO) than the red dude.

So it was close; turns out that Miiki's going to be the yellow Goseiger. Funny thing is, she's apparently playing the youngest character in the group, yet amongst the cast she's actually one of the oldest members.

Oh, and as for the pink member...if anyone thinks that she looks familiar, well she should, considering that she has her own thread in the LLF. Sato Rika is your pink Goseiger!

On another note, I DL'ed and watched the first 2 eps of the "re-dux" version of the original MMPR, and I've gotta say, they really didn't do anything significant/noticable. Really, all they've done is add little "comic-book" style graphics/narration bars here and there. The majority of it is actually unchanged.

Oh, one more thing...

Is this Rika Satou the same Rika Satou Mari mentioned in her blog? I was reading the translated entries from H!O earlier and Mari has a pic there with Rika Satou and her other friends. I did a Google search and found out that she has a thread in the LLF.

Yes it is! Rika-chan is also a semi-regular guest/contestant on Quiz: Hexagon II, and the two of them have evidently become quite good friends. She and Mari are also involved in the latest OP single for the ONE PIECE anime as part of the group "Yaguchi Mari to Straw Hat".
