I agree that an acting career, especially in dramas and movies, would give them more exposure as a whole, even if one or two members only acts. but when UFA starts pushing for more H!P members, it'll turn into only a fan thing, which many normal people tends to stay away from. As for musical or stage plays, i dunno how popular they are, but having dramas or movies shown on tv, which everyone have, would guarantee more exposure than a theatre performance, imo. But that doesn't mean that they shouldn't do it, that's not what i meant, if that's what you're thinking.
But i wonder if it's that easy for them to just get a role in dramas and start acting. As much as i love the girls, i'm not so sure about their acting skills. Mainly cuz i never really see them act much, only in a H!P drama or musical. I know that as H!P idols, they are trained in singing and dancing for the most part, but is acting part of the training?
Also, would most of the girls be interesting in acting. I know that it's a great opportunity, but wonder if the girls have the time and the energy to spare to do it. Do they even want to? Compare to the past, i think they're probably doing less than what they did during their golden era. But if they feel overwork and unhappy, maybe they wouldn't. but this is all just speculations, not based on anything. i dunno how the girls think...
Well, if any of the girls really want to try acting and the opportunity arises, they should take it. And UFA shouldn't try to ruin it to force most, if not all, the members to join the project as well, since it causes problems. Don't try to turn it into an exclusive H!P project, it'll probably won't gain any new fans that way, the audience will most likely be already MM/H!P fans. Rather, have the others do different projects if the choose to do so. have them try out @ auditions and whatnot. If the girls get to work in a non-H!P project, they'll get a better chance to gain new fans outside of H!P fandom. And they don't have to be the main actress yet, they can start small as well, to help them gain experience and not put them in the spotlight yet with extreme pressure since they're just starting. a supporting role is best, i think.
that's all i have to say for now....
hope UFA could read this and understands...
