The Tenth Inning: too much goddamn steroid crap. Liked the Ichiro bit and especially the Pedro interview -- what a great ambassador for baseball.

Yep, I am almost shocked that a baseball-themed project actually slipped into the "30 For 30" lineup. I was afraid Simmons and his anti-MLB bent would rule the day (even something so uniquely endearing as the 2004 ALCS).

Todays Giants-Padres finale was actually blacked out on the MLB Network today because... well, I guess us hicks in Hawaii were expected to make it to the Bay Area and purchase a goddamn ticket! Greed is NOT good, people.

Too bad we didn't get our chaotic three-way tie in the NL. Well I'll take what comes. Actually I'm gonig to Japan in a couple weeks and will MISS the League Championship Series but be back in time for The World Serious.

Well the battle of the West

The Rangers who entered the playoffs w/o a playoff series win and the Giants entering with a big chip on their shoulders as the underdogs in both series. We kick off the Series on Wednesday.

Prediction time!

Giants with a home field advantage but Texas coming in with the hotter bats, each with a lose in their respective positions (Giants 4-1 at home, Rangers 5-1 on the road) In the end, like earlier this year, there was a special team that shocked the football world, it will go to the Rangers in 6, Cliff Lee has an advantage in being in the NL before, but the question is, will Lincecum face Lee in the first game? Most likely the case but expect a really good series and pitching shall rule in SF and hitting become a factor in Texas

You figure Benji gets a WS share from the Giants no matter what? Players with partial time usually get voted at least a partial share and Molina was quite treasured by SF management for his supposed expertise with "handling" the pitching staff. No matter: getting rid of him enabled the Giants to slot in Posey, which they should have done in April.

Looking forward to a good matchup: SF and Arlington/Dallas have never enjoyed the glory of a World Series victory.
