Finished Sleeping Dogs. Fun game, satisfying finish. According to Steam it only took 21 hours to beat and I did a nice chunk of the side quests along the way so I was surprised a bit how short the game was. Oh well. On to Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Finished off Assassin's Creed III. I heard before how bad the last chapter would be, but it's a miracle how such a frustrating stage was left in the game.
Didn't any of them actually play it and see how awful it was before it shipped? Talking about an anti-climax.

Even on an overall view, it felt like a rushed cash-in. Earlier ones had a few quirks, but they were pretty polished and had a giant place to explore and have fun in.
Exploring in AC III felt like torture. Getting that horse-call was such a relief.
And the recruit assassins were unlocked way too late for me. I was only able to use each skill only 1-2 times, it felt like such a waste.

Going onto The Walking Dead since you guys all say its good.

Just finished Part 1. Already getting a bit moved by it.

For my birthday I was lucky to get Metal Gear Rising and Crysis 3. Both pretty sweet games so far!

I too am playing Ni no Kuni. Within a week spent just over 40 hours on it, capturing most of the starter familiars. I don't think I've completed a quarter of the game yet. Did get a free familiar card on the PSN store though.

Finished off The Walking Dead. Ended up doing a good guy route, which makes you feel worse with all the decisions.
Funny thing was one really early choice in episode 1 nearly ruined my game in episode 5. Actually found a way out of it, but it sure got me worried thinking I had to play it all again.
The gameplay might not be great, but the story was really enjoyable.

Starting up Tomb Raider. Reminding me a lot of Uncharted gameplay with the nice-looking environments and cinematic gameplay.
Lara is a pretty likeable character, and her actions, like bow-and-arrow fighting and climbing walls all feel smooth. Just like all action heroes, seems she's been cursed with a "touch anything and it breaks" spell though.

Still not liking the QTE's, but other than that its been great fun.

Likewise, I also have Tomb Raider. Only played the first hour or so and it definately holds your hand a lot, but it is the beginning of the game and supposedly it lets go of the reins a few more hours in. Like it so far, the island looks amazing. A very good looking game indeed.

getting pretty far along in nfs most wanted...got all the dlc except for the online pass (I stopped playing racing games online since a couple guys issued complaints about me because I was crashing into them even tho it's their fault for slamming on the brakes right in front of me

) now I just need a steering wheel controller

I've been playing a little NBA 2K13 My Player here and there. I'm in the second year and Frank still only plays me less than half the game even though I'm the best player on the team. I'm getting fed up and thinking of requesting a trade. lol

I also beat Tomb Raider. It was good, but I think it could have been a lot better. Gun combat is fun, some beautiful locations, lots of collectables. Just wish they would have focused more on surviving and exploring the ancient Japanese temples, WW2 side stuff, puzzles and less on the mowing down thousands of generic cult dudes and saving ultra stereotypical friends. Plus the collectables are ultimately worthless.

Also spontaneously picked up Dark Souls for 10 bucks a few days ago. Now THIS game. Amazing. except for those janky times when the framerate chugs, camera gets fucked up, my lock on goes to a different enemy and I roll off a ledge and die -__- Great game for exploration nuts. Lots of variety in environments, bosses, clothes, armor and weapons. You always gotta see whats just up ahead or what is on that other path. At least now I know what it's like to be a drug addict because it's an addiction for sure.
