In all honestly, i'm not worried about Tomorrow. Will we win? I doubt it. I'm surprised we even took out them Czechs. Our solid players are still doing their thang in the NHL Playoffs, leaving us with a bunch of no-name no-talented players. That and the fact that we've always had trouble with the Canadians makes me doubt my team real bad. [trash talk]BUT Truth is, and this is what matters, we fucking invented hockey, y'all know it. That's right, we had ice here long before Canada was ever found and when Finland still was a part of Sevden. With our top players on the ice, yeah, do i need say more than 2006?[/trash talk] But again, with this team. We couldn't even beat Canada's womens team (no offence to the Canadian ladies).
HOWEVER. There'll be one FUCKING party if we somehow manages to pull it off. We're the underdogs, remember that.

The canadian player needs to stop flopping. Seriously, Nash is like 220lbs, stand up mutha fucka. Sloppy defense by us time after time again. It's really frustrating. Especially when the Canadians are awesome on the finishes, really nice.
It's been exciting for sure. Early Sevdish goal in the third, keep chasing and making a tie in the end of the third, then Sevdish victory on OT.

After final whistle: Great game Canada. We just couldn't stand up against ya in the end. I am surprised by how well it went and the effort our boys put in, but it wasn't enough. We held our ground most of the time, but just couldn't neutralize the Canadian machinery in the end. All in all a perfect hockey game. Big hits, lots of goals, the lead swinging from side to side. It was worth watching for sure. :)
Good luck on Sunday against Russia. They looked SERIOUSLY sharp against the Finns. Good luck to the Finns aswell. Let's make it a good exciting game like this one was. I'd hate to see our two teams stepping out on the ice tired and not giving a fuck.

Great GAME and Series OVERALL. Shit Russians owned the 3rd, Steve Staios and Cam Ward kept it from being 10-4 Russia.

That was one HELL of a turnaround by Russia in the 3rd. As disappointing as it was for Canadians, it was a great game because neither side (especially the Russians) rolled over and just let the other side have it. Hard fought game by a couple of old rivals, and at least both sides can say "We did better than the Americans!" XD

'Stupid rule' says Cherry

PITTSBURGH -- Don Cherry again ripped the NHL over the automatic penalty given to players who shoot the puck over the glass, a call that helped cost Canada gold at the IIHF World Hockey Championship.
Speaking shortly after Rick Nash's delay of game penalty led to Ilya Kovalchuk's overtime winner in Canada's 5-4 loss to Russia in the gold-medal game yesterday, Cherry ranted that the rule was ruining games.
The rule came into effect for the 2005-06 NHL season.
"The National Hockey League, the reason they put this in, this goofy stupid rule, is because they said players were tired and they were shooting it in the stands," an emotional Cherry said during his Coach's Corner segment on the CBC.
"If the guy knows he's getting a penalty, would he shoot it in the stands?
"Some fool in the National Hockey League had nothing to do (but) come up with that stupid rule and it's cost series."
Nash was clearing the puck from his own end when he mistakenly flipped it into the stands. Kovalchuk won the game 47 seconds later.
"Now you're going to say, 'If it had have been the Russians, the other way around,' no," said Cherry.
"I don't want to win like that, I wouldn't want Canada to win like that."
Asked how he would tweak the rule, Cherry barked: "They're too stupid to get rid of it." :lol:
