New idol group Sakura Gakuin recently announced that they will release their debut single on December 8, titled "Yume ni Mukatte."http://natalie.mu/music/news/39315 (http://natalie.mu/music/news/39315)
Managed by Amuse and signed with record label Vision Factory, the group was barely formed in April of this year. It currently consists of 10 members, ranging from 5th grade to 8th grade. The group includes Ayami Mutou and Suzuka Nakamoto (both formerly of Karen Girl's), Ayaka Miyoshi (one of the winners of this year's Miss Seventeen audition), and Aira Matsui (a fashion model for the magazine nicola).
Sakura Gakuin first performed the song "Yume ni Mukatte" at the Tokyo Idol Festival in August. The single will include two other songs, plus instrumentals for the three tracks.
Before the CD release, they will hold their first solo event, called the "Sakura Gakuin Matsuri," at Yokohama Akarenga Soko on November 28.
On the 28th, Sakura Gakuin held their first solo event “Sakura Gakuin Festival ☆ 2010”.
This event preceded their CD debut which will be on December 8th. Tickets to their 2 performances were sold out in the same day. Many excited fans rushed to the venue.
At the event, they started with their lively song “School days”. They continued with “Hello! IVY”, which was filled with energy and caused the enthusiasm in the venue to heat up at once.
During the middle of the event the girls split into their units, which focus on club activities like the Baton Club, Cooking Club and Go-Home Club (People who don’t do clubs and go home after school). Each girl showed their individuality through their performances. Lastly, the members sang and danced to their song, “Yume ni Mukatte”. The audience’s energy reached it’s peak.
Furthermore, after Sakura Gakuin releases their CD they will hold a release commemoration event. They plan to hold an in-store live at ishimaru soft and Tower Records Shibuya.

(anyone got a DL of Dear mr. socrates by any chance?)
Who produces them?I think it's gotta be Hiroyasu Yano (http://www.ldandk.com/creater/profile/yano.html) from Cymbals. He seems to do a lot for a lot of people and Twinklestars and him are both under LD&K. Plus the uncanny Cymbals sound, lol.
After some further digging (derp (http://j-lyric.net/artist/a055176/)), it's actually Oki Reiji (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ja/wiki/%E6%B2%96%E4%BA%95%E7%A4%BC%E4%BA%8C) (guitar/bass) from Cymbals :PWho produces them?I think it's gotta be Hiroyasu Yano (http://www.ldandk.com/creater/profile/yano.html) from Cymbals. More Nene with MarinaI like the other episode they did together better, the one with the warlord guy, Nene has the best laugh and Marina lives in a fantasy world, I really miss those kind of characters in the current group.

I was in Sendai some months back, no idol scene over there (well, as far as I was aware) but more than decent night life.I've not been out at bars at all, me not knowing any Japanese and being old'ish makes me think I wouldn't have a good time.
To the people who always support me
I have something I would like to tell you.
I decided to stop my showbiz activities for a while, with playing the Akasaka Blitz solo-concert on December 23 for the last time -- for now.
I'm sorry for making a sudden notice.
It's not an easy decision. I took long serious deliberations.
Finally, I've sorted out my feelings and now I inform you of this.
On April 29, I could stand on the stage on Shibuya Koukaido as a solo singer, the place I had long been admiring.
The fans who've supported me might think I have still long way to go.
But I've been in showbiz world since I was a child,
and honestly, I feel I'm here just because I've been here.
Of course, I've been trying my best, but I find myself having no future prospects -- how I would like to be.
And I think it's hard to go ahead without hard resolution on my future.
In this showbiz world, it's impossible to go ahead just because I love to sing.
I need to have a strong will of myself.
There are fans who've been supporting me, and there are staffs who help me.
Because of that, I must not be unaware of a clear vision on what I aim to be.
I must be more confident in leading all of you to a wonderful place.
I might have been in too favorable surroundings.
Now I want to have a time to foster my heart -- to raise my sweet hope into a strong determination.
I'll leave a place where pampered me, where I've take as granted.
And I want to see several new worlds.
And when I get a determination, a hard confidence that I am a singer.
I'll be back.
You will find a new Ayami.
And. I have best mates. I heartily hope their dreams come true.
If there would be a guy who is up against the wall which I've hit,
I wanna be one who can say 'It's no problem. You can overcome!'
In order to be so, I shall face myself, and proceed forward.
I'll learn and absorb new things,
with the faith that I can send you better singing some time.
I've been given a lot of power from your warm cheers.
I love you.
Thank you for your support!!
Look forward to seeing new Muto Ayami!!

Muto Ayami
Of course, I've been trying my best, but I find myself having no future prospects -- how I would like to be.Strange, I had the impression she was pretty succesful.
Unfortunately not, frankly I think Amuse was hoping for her to land a deal with a major label and when it didn't happen they said stop (they have been releasing her stuff so far) she simply wasn't profitable for them.QuoteOf course, I've been trying my best, but I find myself having no future prospects -- how I would like to be.Strange, I had the impression she was pretty succesful.

Airi Matsui
It isn’t easy to go from one field to another, but that one leap of faith in a different direction can sometimes prove successful. Matsui is one case where she may be even more recognized than ever before—the model and actress was once a member of idol group Sakura Gakuin before graduating in 2012 to continue her career as a model. Now she’s a regular in popular fashion magazine Ray, and making a name for herself on the silver screen. The 20-year-old starred in the high school romance hit “Aozora Yell”, and also appeared in “Flying Colors” alongside actress Kasumi Arimura.
