Ok, splitters are one thing. But how fuckin' cool would it be if we had a database of our own commercials to run? Like a handful of spots that run for either 30 or 60 seconds, preproduced, with music beds, sound effects, and times? Then we could run them during each others' shows, so that we know what other shows are available to listen to, what formats they follow, and what to expect.
For example, Hello Ongaku. It be something like, "Remember to join the gang of Ongaku Project every week at 2:30 am GMT, for over 2 hours of Hello Project's biggest hits!
Get the link for JPHIP radio on [jay pee HIP dot com] (pronounciation is KEY when giving out info about where to get the link) and join into the hottest listening party online!
Hello Ongaku - brought to you by Ongaku Project! Its the hottest Hello Project karaoke community online! We've got your HIP Covered!"
Something like that. Throw in some HP music in the background, mix it up a bit.
If your show has other things involved, like voting, or prizes to give away, take a 60 second cm to mention how to get the listener involved. Then take a 30 sec to just tell about the time of the show, and the link.
I suggest everyone do a couple of CMs for their own show at first, and see how they turn out. Remember to write out scripts for yourselves, and include EVERY SINGLE ASPECT that you want to have in them. What will your background music be? What kind of sound effects could you put in? How many different voices do you need? Do you need a male voice, or female voice? How loud do you want certain lines to be? I'm sure that JPHIP is a close enough community that if we ask each other to voice some parts, we'd all be willing to oblige. I'm certainly more than happy to voice any script that gets thrown at me.
If anyone has ANY questions, suggestions, +1s, cool sound effects or music beds, or anything else related to making a radio CM, feel free to post here, and we'll all learn together.

No doubt. No doubt. good idea that every DJ do their own CM. With everyone with their own theme song, like Vikitty's Futurama bit "Nobody Cares" ... Since we are listed on Shoutcast, we will get lurkers who don't know of the forum so establishing the JPH!P/JP HiP Brand is crucial. I know Ping, harlock?? boykun/tenkei?? gathered everyone to get em some splits on their own shows so that's cool.
What's the difference between a 30 sec CM and a 5-10 sec splitter? Like with more plug huh. More description? Preview of upcoming theme of the show?
I want some CM's for basic forum stuff like "Postwhorers Wanted!" "Go Visit THE RIVE" "Check out Da HiP Joint!" ... sexy/cute female voices will and shall be recruited.

Well, the difference between a CM and a splitter really doesn't affect JPHIP radio. A CM is basically a spot paid for by a client to air a message at certain times, whereas a splitter has to do with the radio show itself, or the station. And, a splitter really should only be used between songs, not between a song and DJ talk. But, whatever, its a way we can show off our work ethic as a community~!

That's an impressive body of work there Rina-chan! Yes, a generic CM for the radio station and forum would be awesome. I'll talk to my HiP Radio crew for script ideas what type of voice hmm :D
