Hwayoung tweetin...

https://twitter.com/RHY422/status/230295196791869440

“To my fans, you’ve loved me until now, and I’m sorry that I’ve only given you disappointment. Please stop now, and look forward to our more mature and improved selves in the future. I apologize for making you worry during this time. I also want to apologize to my Core Contents Media family. I’ll greet you all with a better image next time.”

Well, that's something at least, but it sure won't put the speculations about the alleged bullying to rest.

Yeah, as has been stated many times, the problem is trust is lost due to all the blatant lying of the CEO. If he hadn't posted so many obvious lies and incongruent statements, everyone could easily think that most of the T-ara tweets, videos and reports were misinterpreted.

But because the company has been so sneaky, irresponsible and dishonest, I'm inclined to doubt even Hwayoung's post. Since KKS stated yesterday that he met with her parents and presented the public with a fairyland image that the parents are okay with all he's doing, I'm more inclined to think that he used his power to make Hwayoung post that. It'd just take a little talk with the parents about how he could affect the twins' futures, or even a little money. I'm sure it doesn't take a lot to persuade someone in such an unfortunate position (regardless of whether Hwayoung was a victim or not). Like everyone said since the beginning, no matter what's the truth, they can just sweep all this under the rug. That is, unless the public keeps pushing for the truth, I guess.

Still, Hwayoung didn't confirm OR deny the bullying rumours, so this isn't really helping CCM. She merely asked people "to stop" which is vague to say the least. If she stays neutral regarding the rampant speculations, the fans are not gonna stop for a long time and T-ara will HAVE to go on a long hiatus or disband altogether.

Without statements, only time will help, and seems like people everywhere are going so batshit over this that it's gonna take forever. And I agree that people should be mad, at least until someone else other than Kim Kwang-Göebbels comments on the bullying allegations. And maybe even that won't be enough. Maybe too much irreparable damage has been done.

I think I read somewhere that they're seriously going to try to promote the new song "Sexy Love" in two weeks. Hah. Well, good luck with trying to clear this mess in two weeks. :smhid

Here's one interesting (long) take on the whole issue:

Man, I didn't know Nam Gyuri called KKS "The Devil"... hah, suits him.

That's crazy. I wouldn't put those girls on a stage for a whiiile until fans calm down. Their safety should be a priority here regardless of who did what, and we all know how scary angry fans can be.

Speaking of which, not sure if it was mentioned already, but when I went to bed last night they had spoken about the girls performing later today at a big concert...which, of course, would include many fans of other groups...and...well...people who at this point don't like T-ara very much XD

seems they've since decided to cancel their appearance at the concert: http://www.allkpop.com/2012/07/t-aras-appearance-at-k-pop-yeosu-expo-super-concert-canceled

Which makes sense, I guess...I couldn't even imagine the sort of reaction they'd get

So basically right now it's just them waiting and hoping this blows over. They're cancelling all appearances, the girls have gone into hiding/silence (with the exception of Eunjung, I guess, who posted a short "Thank you and I'm sorry" message on her fansite), we've got Hwayoung offering a possibly half-hearted "please stop hating the group" apology...

It seems they're banking on time and Hwayoung's indifference (and possible admission of guilt) to fix this, but I'm not sure it will...anything they throw out there, most people would dismiss as bullshit XD...very hard to win in a position like that.

I feel like I broke up with my girlfriend but I'm still hoping that we'll eventually get back together.. I can't just make myself like a different group like how I love(d) T-ara. Where's the silver lining in all of this? I want to know so I can start being optimistic again.

Ok fuck it, I'm still a T-ara fan.

(No worries, still hate their management, not denying any flaws of character etc.)

The biggest, most official proof against the girls is the tweets. And I feel that the GIRLS have already got enough punishment for those, and will get more in the coming weeks. MAYBE I'M JUST A BIG SOFTIE... They are still young, silly women who are capable of growing and learning from this, and to punish them without any mercy can only be counter-productive. Maybe giving them kindness when they feel they don't deserve it will have a stronger effect. In the end, I don't want to just hate someone for being bad. I want them to realize what the problem is and attempt to change it, so that WE CAN ALL HAVE A BETTER WORLD WWWEEE AARE THE WOOOORRLLD WE AAARE THE CHILDREEEENNNNNN

If they go down, I go down with them. Whatever.

TL;DR I'M BEING JESUS AND TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK. I AM ALSO AN IDIOT, JUST LIKE JIYEON.

I feel like I broke up with my girlfriend but I'm still hoping that we'll eventually get back together..

LOL, that's a great analogy. I woke up today feeling differently...not that I hated them yesterday, but it was more of a "I still want to see how this goes, but I'm not sure I can like them the way I did before :(". Today I woke up like....meh, who cares. Let's move this shit along already XD

There's still the problem of whether or not the "netizens" will ever let up, and considering the appearances they've dropped from and their advertisers taking them off their products, this might just be all downhill from here, but oh well.

Even though I don't follow kpop news/groups this has been entertaining the last few days (including the irc discussions I peeked at once in a while).

I don't know about the girls but in my opinion the CCM CEO and guys around him seem to be the worst by not handling the situation correctly and maybe even spreading lies that leave no space for the girls to apologize properly or something.
If they survive this one can only hope they all learned their lesson.

On a side note, day by day is the only t-ara song that made it onto my playlist so far. One reason (about 50%) is the rap which seems to be by Hwayoung if I learned that correctly now... (the fluet and some other parts of the singing being the other 50%)

LOL shi! What a rollercoaster of feelings XD  I imagine I'd be the same way if L'arc~en~Ciel was going through a big controversy like this. It'd be hard to give up on them (especially Hyde ) unless there was absolutely undeniable evidence that they did something extremely disappointing. So hey, here's hoping for the best outcome possible for everyone involved!  :thumbsup

All right some positivity in this thread  :cow: :) , hopefully these same kinds of feelings are being mirrored on other T-ara forums around the net. And after the utter shitstorm of the last few days i can't see anyway that we are not going to have some kind of interview with the girls to hopefully get to the bottom of all of this. I can't see that they could come back with a new single and have the press only ask questions about the new music video etc, it just wouldn't wash.

Oh man, I'm gone for nearly a day and a half and this thread explodes. 6_9

This post so far is the most unbiased and logical of everything that's been going on: http://10rina.tumblr.com/post/28363395637/t-ara-and-old-school-management

But what do I know.  ┐(‘~`;)┌

Also this:

Quote
After the official announcement about Hwayoung‘s leave, various individuals, who claim to have information about the alleged bullying, as well as industry professionals have been revealing their opinions on the current controversy.

With the member count of ‘T-Jinyo’ (‘We Demand the Truth from T-ara’) on the rise with many frustrated former fans and netizens joining in to express their opinions on the matter, rapper E.Via has stepped up to criticize the “witch-hunting” by the group, as well as express her own feelings about bullying and ostracism.

E.Via wrote, “Creating T-Jinyo seems a bit overboard. Is witch-hunting your hobby? I feel bad for her [Hwayoung] and also want to know the truth, but if things continue this way, it just means that there will be more people who will get hurt. Let’s take it easy on the curiosity.”

She also added, “I was also bullied by others before and I know that it is something that people should never do, but I think this (situation) leading into a witch hunt is also bad. It’s making things worse.”

Actor Shin Hyun Joon also spoke on the issue of bullying as he wrote, “Bullying.. is a cowardly, faceless killer. If you hurt someone, you’ll be hurt even more later on. Why don’t people realize what a joyous event it is when those around you come across success..”

Meanwhile, ‘T-Jinyo’ has seen its member count rise to near 200,000 since its creation

I almost didn't even feel like beating this dead horse anymore, but these recent tidbits at least seem a little more interesting than hilarious rumors from anonymous netizens (see: "This bitch hasn't smoked? Idiot.")

Quote
[12.07.31] CEO Kim Kwangsoo, "Hwayoung brought this upon herself"

CEO Kim Kwangsoo sat down for an interview after the Hwayoung bullying scandal has reached a new level.

A ripple effect of scandals has followed T-ara since member Hwayoung's contract with the agency was terminated. "A back-dancer claimed Jiyeon slapped Hwayoung during practice," an Internet cafe with over 310,000 people has appeared demanding the truth from T-ara.

During this drama, Core Contents Media's CEO Kim Kwangsoo has sat down for an interview at his office. "We've gained serious damage and losses by bullying rumors (Hwayoung and the relationship between her and the other members). Minor conflicts between members is simply expected and human nature. Hwayoung's removal from T-ara is not due to bullying, but because a refusal to appear on a live TV music program on the 27th."

— There's been a lot of material regarding the things done against Hwayoung by the other members, such as force feeding.

"In every relationship that we have as humans, there's conflict bound to take place.  After their debut, there's already been some bullying cases that surrounded Eunjung, Soyeon and Boram, but even then, it wasn't anything serious. Hwayoung's problem (now) is just like one of those. Because [Hwayoung] joined the group late, people must have thought that [she was experiencing] bullying; but Areum, [too], has joined the group late and she's not having a hard time. That rice-cake "force-feeding" scene only looked the way it did because of how it was cut."

— There's been stories surfacing that Hwayoung's sweet and courteous as compared to the other members.

"A rumor has spread stating that Hwayoung was slapped on the face during a dance practice and it spread before being confirmed. Through a police investigation, we learned the rumor was created by kids. These are just rumors."

— The comments in the press release saying "jealous younger members" and "small arguments" - what did you mean by these?

"In the other T-ara members' perspective, being the one who joined the latest (Hwayoung) and causing an issue was not something they wanted to see. Hwayoung's personality is tough and somewhat manly. [Therefore], living with the T-ara members was a little difficult for her. So of course, the other T-ara members will also have some problems with that because they're not able to adapt well with her."

— There was a statement said in the press release saying "Staff members complained about Hwayoung."

"Staff members are underpaid and are hurt by everything happening now also. A person who is close to Hwayoung even sent a message out of hate to a T-ara member."

— If there wasn't any bullying going on and Hwayoung's departure was brought upon by herself, do you have any other thoughts or evidence to reveal?

"[What happened] started out as something like a joke amongst young people and it's unfortunate that it was blown out of proportion the way that it did. But if people publish information [with no proper proof] whatsoever, that just causes more trouble to stir. T-ara will continue [to attend to] their schedules as planned."

Hwayoung recently posted an apologize to her fans and Core Contents Media family on Twitter.

[12.08.01] Hwayoung apologized to CEO Kim Kwangsoo in tears

Ex-T-ara member Hwayoung has approached and apologized to CEO Kim Kwangsoo in tears.

On July 31st, she went to go see their CEO Kim Kwangsoo to apologize (in tears) after she wrote an apology on her personal Twitter account.

Hwayoung's tweet read: "I am sorry for giving so much disappointment to all the fans that have given me love up until now. I will now stop (all of this), please anticipate a more mature and improved side of me. Because I have made everyone worried, I am very sorry. I also want to apologize to the people at Core Contents Media. I will greet everyone with a better (Hwayoung in the future)."

Core Contents Media CEO Kim Kwangsoo said that Hwayoung apologized and said, "I don't know why it's gotten this far. I'm sorry. To the president, members of our company family.. I'm sorry to everyone."

Kwangsoo said that Hwayoung went on to say, "When I decided not to proceed to appear on 'Music Bank' that day, I made a big mistake. I failed to keep a promise I made with the people viewing and the fans." Kwangsoo stated again, the reason Hwayoung was removed from T-ara is because of her decision to not appear on Music Bank.

CEO Kim Kwangsoo continued to say he didn't originally plan to remove Hwayoung from the group, but it ultimately got to that point. He said, "In the future, I believe Hwayoung can be a successful artist and rapper in a different company. I hope she'll grow and be able to perform on grand stages in the future."

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm having a hard time believing all that. KKS stated originally that he removed Hwayoung because of all these incidents of bad behavior towards staff and so on, and that he made the decision BECAUSE the 19 staff people complained and they had a meeting and he decided to do this for the poor underpaid stylists and managers who suffer because of super mean Hwayoung. NOW he says he only kicked her out because she didn't perform on MuBank. Way to keep changing stories. The reason why he kicked her out shouldn't be something that changes every day.

Also, if the MuBank incident is the reason, then how can he kick a member of a main group out just because she was injured and didn't want to perform? People knew she was injured, so the only ppl who would've been upset by her not performing are the other members. Would that situation have been worse than this shitstorm? I still don't see why it was soooo bad for them to sing her parts, why they had to "learn" them. Even most fans know the whole lyrics to the song, how come the T-ara members don't? I don't get any of this lol

In that "Hwayoung apologizes in tears" article, everything is 'KKS said this, KKS said that'. How can we trust anything he says? He always paints a picture that is just so perfectly convenient for him. I wish someone would be just totally honest here. Even if it's an ugly picture, honesty is always the way to go. I'd like to hear the girls talk about it. Rumors are that Hwayoung was escorted to the CCM offices and there they forced her to tweet her apology. Who knows? Sigh~

There's also this one, which I had read earlier, not sure if anyone mentioned it, but it's just more fuel to the fire:

Quote
[12.08.01] An industry insider says, "Hwayoung was crying outside T-ara's waiting room unable to enter"

An industry insider is claiming that Core Contents Media's claim that Hwayoung "acted like a top star" and "threw her crutches in a fit" are not 100% true.

According to a report made by OBS on the 31st, is is true that Hwayoung threw her crutches while at KBS 2TV's "Music Bank". But before she did that, she was seen crying outside the group's waiting room and was unable to even enter the waiting room.

The music industry said, "CEO Kim Kwangsoo's reports on the situation is a bit different from the real situation. All before Hwayoung threw down her crutches and refused to perform, she was crying. She wasn't even crying in her waiting room, but in the hallway outside the waiting room at the broadcast station because she was unable to enter the waiting room. I wasn't the only one who witnessed this because other artists and representatives saw this moment too."

The T-ara controversy which originally started on the 27th with a few Tweets gets bigger each day.

and this one

[12.08.01] Over dramatic? "T-ara and Hwayoung both shed tears last night"

Hwayoung and T-ara cry. Meeting each other every day, but today was different.

According to Core Contents Media, last night on July 31st, Hwayoung and her twin sister Hyoyoung came to Core Contents Media's office is Gangnam, Seoul to meet with Kim Kwangsoo.

Through a phone interview with Star News in the morning, Kim Kwangsoo admitted to meeting with Hwayoung and Hyoyoung.

He said, "I was surprised that Hwayoung came to the company last night, but we have already talked. After apologizing to the other members, staff, and fans and apologizing for breaking her promise and reflecting on her actions, Hwayoung burst in tears."

Followed by, "It broke my heart seeing Hwayoung cry. Seeing Hwayoung cry, I realized her heart has not had a break [from aching]."

CEO Kwangsoo said he first met with the T-ara members before Hwayoung came to the office. "The T-ara members also are saddened and shed tears over this incident," he said.

"The writings T-ara and Hwayoung wrote on Twitter without any meaning behind them have all caused a ripple effect. I talked frankly to all of them yesterday, and each of them shed tears," he also said.

"I hope the fans can give their love and keep watching T-ara and Hwayoung rather than posts on the Internet."

Kim Kwangsoo terminated Hwayoung's contract, but then quickly said there was a possibility to re-join.

You decide whether they cried because they can't believe this got so blown out of proportion and feel for poor Hwayoung, or because they never thought treating her horribly would possibly ruin their careers the way it seems to be doing :P

Awwww he cares about their hearts and talks about love~  :smhid

"The writings T-ara and Hwayoung wrote on Twitter without any meaning behind them..."

Didn't he mean the writings the hackers wrote on Twitter?

"Without any meaning behind them". Suuure, whatever you say Mr. Boss.

This is what i hate about him!!! XD  It'd be SO much easier and pleasing to the fans if he'd just try to be freaking honest for once. The girls are human. They may have been angry about the MuBank incident and posted that in anger. They just had to admit whatever happened and apologized and this mess would've never happened. Even now he could do damage control with honesty. But no, this guy has no shame, no conscience. Aren't there advisors in the company to make him shut up before he ruins the girls for good???

I visualize the girls spilling their honest hearts out on tv, apologizing (whoever did whatever wrong), they all cry a little and then hug, gain the sympathy of fans back, and maybe everything is salvaged XD  But nooooo, the public just keeps getting the incongruent patronizing lies of this man. That's what's ruining T-ara right now.
