Well, yes, it was good.

It's just very, very, VERY intense this time. It's more like a serial drama now, no room for comedy, as winner-san mentioned.

I just skimmed thru some the non-subbed episodes. (1 and 2). Disappointing. I can handle something dark and gritty, but this is dreary and dull. Maybe I'll watch it before going to bed, but probably not.

I personally don't like this new direction that much. It doesn't seem as fun as previous seasons, which I think is important for an idol drama.
But there was a need to change up the formula. vs fights every week was starting to get boring.
Funny thing is, if this was a sequel to MG3 I would've totally believed it.

Anyways, its just started. Keep watching and see how it goes.

Kind of had a lot of those same thoughts, having fights all the time does get a bit tiring but including a bit of humor even if it's dark hearted is important. Still it's only one out of 12 episodes but though a bit more violent than usual it was still an okay watch, plenty of time to tweak things here and there.... screenshots from the opening credits.

Have watched ep 1 and 2- obviously some new characters will get a chance to show their acting skills, so
that is one benefit of having some main characters leaving the show early.

Agree that the direction of the show has moved into dark territory, and it's the introduction of guns into
the show that has drastically changed the possibilities. After all, the consequences of a fist fight are scrapes,
bruises, maybe some crutches.
Consequences of guns are funerals.
Will still follow this drama, but have some reservations about its direction.

So Miyu was in ep01 (near the beginning, she was one of the 3 girls challenging the stairs)
No wonder didn't notice her, they didn't show her face at all... like why have akb members guest, and not show their face. Wasted chance...

Love that Katsuzetsu intro!

I've always liked how this series pushes non-forefront AKB48 members. But this season hasn't been as effective since most of the cast is carried over from MG4.
I hope the new charas like Haruppi and the Yabakune girls will get a break, and be more recognized by fans now.

Time to man up for ep6. looks like it'll drop some heavy stuff.
Just saying. An Akame ga Kill-like "Death Wheel" for MG5 would be really helpful around now.
