After watching the previews for what they did for the DVD, I kinda want a normal concert like Dynamite out! now. I always thought the best concerts were  ones that only had to rely on the music and performers to be good, not flash and editing. That said I love the new versions of other songs.
a post by me, a rare thing!

Normal live concerts always get boring for me unless I'm actually there, no matter how much I love the band playing. So editing on a concert DVD is a plus. It's like watching a live PV. :D

That's what I meant o_O I guess it's an old habit of calling it "recording" since before Net Trasport I used HiNet Recorder >_>

hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me.

i recently bought Ringo Shiina's Baishou Ecstasy (賣笑エクスタシー) DVD and as part of the extra's there is a code input section, all in kanji!!

ive searched a bit on the internet and cannot find anything of obvious help. ive tried to Print Screen + Paste the image of the input thingy but its not working, so if someone could tell me how to do a screencap of a dvd i'll post it up.

thank you for any help you can offer!!

Play the DVD in VLC, then you can take a screencap

Moving, it's time to revive this mofo!!

Yeah, so I just finished watching the "Just Can't Help It" dvd and I must say this is the best TJ/Shiina dvd yet and quite possibly the greatest dvd ever recorded in the history of mankind.  This is not some simple live dvd where they just record a concert with a bunch of camera angles and slap it on a dvd, nosireebob.  This is a brilliant fusion of a live concert and cinematic elements, and as a result the dvd is more akin to a rock opera or a series of short plays.  This makes the dvd a unique experience as each song has it's own visual and cinematic style while maintaining key themes so that each song has it's own identity while still managing to feel like a cohesive part of a greater experience.  Aaron, Tokyo Jihen isn't using editing effects and cinematic elements to make up for a sub-par performance, they're taking advantage of the medium so that it becomes a unique and valuable experience in its own right, and not just a recording of a live performance for those that didn't get to experience it in the flesh.  Aside from the excellent fusion, the live performance itself is one of Shiina's best yet.  New arrangements, new songs, old favorites, fun twists, crazy Shiina eyes, this performance has all the elements that make Shiina the best performer in Japan and one of the best in the world.  Some of the performances that really stood out for me *SPOILERZZ!!1* were (highlight if you want to see)Shoujou Robot, Yukiguni, Honnou, Kenka Joutou, Blackout, Tegami, and Raku Jitsu *END SPOILERZZ*.  I'm currently uploading this to Mal's ftp, and once it finishes I'll make a thread for it in the asshole.  This is not something any TJ/Shiina fan will want to miss, and everyone who isn't yet a fan should definitely take a look.  Now, I'm off to go watch it again!

finally got my dvd today and I just watched it. what a fuckin experience that was. the stuff JB said was really great. I usually prefer a straight out live like Dynamite Out!, but this one was like a movie. I really liked the Genjitsu Ote - Kao - Jusui Negai part, especially how they did Kao. the ballads stood out for me on this one. Tegami, with Ringo actually using the 620 again, and Rakujitsu at the end. then there's the quirky stuff, like that poplocking move at the begining of Service  and that whole soccer/football thing. great stuff.

the audience was kindof disappointing though, unlike the one in Dynamite Out. on the parts where I thought they would go crazy, they didn't.

anyway, a must watch for fans. completely different from their first live dvd, but its on par. both great in their own ways.

I loved the concert! It's my favorite live DVD I've ever seen. What I especially love about it is that even though it's a live, it's still a completely different experience from seeing a live concert. I'm thinking of buying it, but I have no money...

Ringohime will disband TJ after their 3rd(4th) album, and then she'll change her name to Shiina Yumiko and will start singing enka. You can tell I'm very serious about this.
