The plus side for us guys is that it makes things easier at first. The downside is that having your girl put herself down can get old after awhile.

Agreed.

I guess they feel like there are so many Musu-- I mean, girls cuter than they are, their own cuteness doesn't count.

Well, maybe it's true? I mean, statistically speaking, out of 100 women, there must be 25 that's above avg looking, 50 avg looking, 25 below avg, right? Isn't that the whole point of the term "average"?

thats sad... yeah but they should just all look up to the VISUAL company HP and idolize them because we all know they think they are all attractive or they wouldnt be Idols.... or.. its money but who knows all i know that ive looked at plenty of idols and HP idols tend to be more visual with what they do...

yeah, as someone once told me, "every good looking girl in japan is in morning musume!"

But that's wrong. Walk around outside and you'll see hundreds of lovely-looking girls. Sure, they're not at that absolute pinnacle of cuteness but I wouldn't say no. In fact I'd be saying "yes, yes yes!"

To me, an australian, japanese 10/10's are rarer than western 10/10s but 7-8/10s are much more common. The distribution curve is different - maybe there's not so many at that absolute peak of beauty but there's far more who are "very nice".

Seriously, you don't expect there to be all that many beautiful girls at a morning musume concert do you? It's just not their scene. But I'll stand with you outside any major railway station you like and point to 30 cute girls a minute : )

I really laughed out loud on that one. I was actually considering looking some of this up, until I hit your post. Thanks for that enlightening bit of information, haha.
