12月19thシングル選抜は研究生含めたメンバーでジャンケンで決める
The 19th Single Senbatsu will be decided by a Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament.

I guess that Suiensaa episode will be useful, after all. They're doing some seeding to make sure the heavyweights don't clash, but I don't know anything about tournament placings for it to make any sense.

What a crazy way to decide Senbatsu but... I fuckin' love it! They better show the tournament live on TV XD

This is going to be interesting.

Tomochin, and anyone else going up against Harukyan/Haachan later, must be destroyed!

Edit: Ah damnit, Harukyan and Haachan are up against one another if Harukyan wins. Cruel world indeed.

Hmm... just got off the "Erepyon graduates" thread and into this! Maybe THIS is why she went.

^^ Looking at the pic, initially just thought somebody has been watching too much World Cup and noticed that a few members will get 1st round byes which guarantees top tier members don't lose at the beginning. A hint of fixed results already?

HOWEVER~~ upon more scrutiny, members that get byes; Sato Sumire (1), Nakata Chisato (14)??? Also, if the color mark is any symbol, that means 1st round bye members are guaranteed an Undergirls spot. Win 2 rounds and you're IN SENBATSU!! Either Takamina (33) or Yuko (35) WON'T BE in senbatsu, if both win round 1 they'll duke it out over undergirls position!

Guess Akimoto was pissed at fans claiming both AX and member votes were fixed. This'll teach them!

I really like this idea! It's possible to fix it, but I think they'd fix it to be interesting (a senbatsu member in undergirls, for example).

But still, this is cute.

Sasshi, Yuko and Takamina all fighting for one spot... that's just wrong.
Must devise secret formula to create an endless loop of draw matches.

Guess I should be happy Team B members have an advantage, having done Joshikousei wa Yamerarenai for a whole stage.

At least TomoTomo won't face each other unless both are already in Senbatsu.

But, either Yuko or Sasshi will end up in Theater Girls.

I think it would be awesome if Yuka made it to Senbatsu.  :nervous

I definitely support that statement there. :thumbsup Though it looks like Umeda has a good chance of making senbatsu this time too :P Masa should be planning to buy this one already.

Looking at the brackets this was set out to be an underdog-fest from the get-go.

So I wrote a short program to 'predict' the results of this ridiculously hilarious tournament.
Basically, the meat of the program is making the girls go up against each other for a set of 10000 RPS matches. This cuts down on dumb luck, and adds a bit more 'randomness' to Java's (notoriously bad) RNG.

Without further ado:

Senbatsu:
Nakamura (KKS)
Chikano Rina
Nakaya Sayaka
Nonaka Misato
Nakamata (KKS)
Ishida Haruka
Umeda Ayaka
Miyazawa Sae
Kobayashi M (KKS)
Uchida Mayumi
Maeda Ami
Maeda Atsuko
Kitahara Rie
Oshima Yuko
Satou Amina
Komori Mika

Center:
Nakamura

Congratulations, unknown Kenkyuusei!
