How to play:

Just think of something extra. Write reasons, post pictures, videos. It's postwhoring olympics yeah, but shameless spamming shall not be tolerated.

AKB48. Without the flagship group, we'd have nothing else. The strongest Idol group in the game, paved the way for the Idol Sengoku Jidai and the revival of the Idol group in general.

Definitely AKB48. It has my oshi for life Yuko-sama, my favorite team Team K, and many songs and units I love and care about. It also is the beginning of *48 family, so how can one not love them?

Of course, my oshi Akimoto Sayaka. She is the best and better than all your oshis, it's as simple as that. Gorgeous, talented, funny, charismatic, wall of abs, cry baby, gorilla (former leader) of Team K.

C3. Favourite graduated *48 member and why.
Not totally graduated yet, but Maeda Atsuko. She was the first girl I knew in AKB back when I only listened to the music and didn't follow the girls. She was an adorable girl I saw in some dramas, and still is for that matter. No matter how far she's slipped down my ranking since becoming engrossed in the beast that is AKB, she will still hold a special place for me. Godspeed, Acchan.

My Oshi Trinity: Mayu, Yui, Jurina. I take them because they're my top 3, and fit the question perfectly :V Sitting with any of them on the rollercasters -> :on bleed:

Whichever ones you like to sing :V The one's I always do at Karaoke are Heavy Rotation, Flying Get, Kachuusha, various others I enjoy. But those three are musts for my karaoke trips.

I don't really listen to AKB albums, but the recent one has some goooood shit on it. Team A's Hate and Mariko's Plastic no Kuchibiru or so damn good man.

I can't choose between my W oshi so I'm gonna once again say Umechan and Tomochin. Tomochin is ridiculously gorgeous and she has her own unique flavor. She's one of the least idol-like members in AKB and that makes her fresh. Umechan is simply an amazing person. She's always working hard and she's so positive she could be JPH!P's mascot. AKB48 has lots of amazing members but Umechan is one girl that actually inspires me to be a better person.

I can't think of any AKB48 members but there's one SKE48 girl.... Moe Yamashita (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=20782.0). I got into SKE48 like right before her graduation and she was one of the first members to catch my eye. I still think she could have been one of the top members if she had stayed in SKE48.

1st generation because it has so many legendary idols. Girls like Tomochin, Haruna, Acchan, Miichan, Takamina and Mariko changed the game and paved way for future generations. Gotta respect the pioneers! :bow:

I'm not sure if I can give one simple answer to this. I just often say I'm a *48 fan rather than of AKB or NMB or whatever. HKT hasn't yet captured my heart like it's big sisters has done but maybe that will change now that Lovetan is going there and if they ever release original music. At one point I preferred SKE, then I went back to saying it's AKB and now I think I love NMB all the same. :lol:

Maybe I'll pick AKB48 then, because....

SKE48. Unlike AKB48, I have followed SKE48 from the very first minute. I feel more connected to them. When I saw S1 I was blown away by their tight dancing, cuteness and freshness. They definitely gave AKB48 a run for their money during their debut era, but due to a lot of ignorant fans they never got the recognition they deserved. That's true to some extent even to this day. Even Rena said SKE48 is simply riding AKB48's wave... Even though that may be true to some extent, SKE48 definitely has appeal of their own.

C2. Favourite current *48 member and why.

When SKE48 first came out there were four girls in the spotlight: Rena, Kumi, Tsukina and Jurina. Kumi was the one that gabbed my attention. Jurina and Tsukina were kids and Rena seemed a bit plain. When I watched the S1 DVD I didn't like her vocals either. She sang in tune, but her voice had a squeaky quality to it. Her infamous line in Classmate is the perfect example. They even showed this bit during an AKBingo special and confronted her with it, haha. She improved so much, but more on that later. The point is, my initial ideas about Rena were wrong. Very wrong.

My Rena fandom started in July 2009. She was one of the girls who performed at he Japan Expo in Paris. Some of my pics are on page one of this thread. Initially it was unclear if she was even coming, because there was a baseball event around the same. Luckily, she came to Paris after all. When the girls come out, you try to get a good look at them and you start searching for your favorites. My oshimen at the time was Yuki, but out of Team Paris is was Kasai. It didn't take long for me to take note of Rena. She was in the center for quite a few songs and was basically right in front of me for good amount of the concert. I was blown away by her presence. The energy she put into her moves, the never ending smile and her cute pale skin with black hair combi made it impossible to take my eyes of her.

Later that day during the conference I told my friend to take a lot of pics of her. I already knew then she was the one. Actually, she was really cool during the conference because she was the only one who gave the people in the back a chance to ask questions. The next day there was another performance, followed by a signing event. I didn't get into the event, but I watched from a couple of meters away. Rena sat on the far side of the podium and somehow she took note of me. We waved and she 'treasure hunted' my smile, haha. Like I said in the Kumi post, little moments like these can take your fandom to the next level. I was already into Rena because of the previous day, but that moment sealed the deal.

Months passed and Rena's uprise began. The spicy food specials on Shukan later turned out to be the foundation for her Gekikara character. How epic was Gekikara! I think she gained tons of fans with that acting performance. She proved to be a good actress many times since then and I think her future career lies in this field. I don't worry about Rena's future, because I know people everywhere recognize her talents. Her vocals have improved over the years and she managed to turn her husky voice into a charm point. Kareha no Station getting #1 in SKE48's Request Hour concerts two times is quite amazing. I still love the song to death, but more importantly, I think it shows people want to support Rena in a big way. She has captured the hearts of many. In fact, the Rena song pack I once uploaded is my most downloaded file with 1011 downloads!

I will never forget these past three years. Rena brought me so much happiness and enjoyment. Seeing her perform, watching all the TV shows, the magazine spreads, blog entries, etc. I will always support her. No matter what. She stands miles above my Yuki and Kasai fandom. It's a completely different feeling. In fact, Rena has overtaken my Otsuka Ai fandom, which is quite amazing. I will continue to follow her career with great interest, both during and after SKE48. I hope you will do the same.

Actually, I comfess that would be Yuki. I thought was pretty annoying at first. She didn't have anything to say during 1ji59fun and her reactions during very early AKBingo were borderline annoying. However, I then realized she did work hard on improving herself and that the huge reactions aren't really an act. (well, maybe a little, but whatever) She became a top favorite, but it happened very gradually. This is the opposite of Kasai who I liked since day 1.

Right now it's probably NMB48. The girls are just SO damn good. Geinin is awesome, their singles have been great, especially Virginity, and there's a lot of awesome undergirls to like such as Tanigawa and Fuuchan. They have a lot of up and coming talent. Great stuff from Osakaland. :thumbup

C2. Favourite current *48 member and why.

Right now it's probably Takayanagi Akane. Beautiful, fun, extremely talented... just an amazing girl. I love pretty much everything she does. The only exception was that haircut, but even that turned out quite okay. :lol: Go Churi!

Sato Mieko - She's hot and she seems like a shit ton of fun to be around.
Sato Seira - Same as above, pretty much.
Takayanagi Akane - A bit more 'reserved'(read: not as insane) as the above two, but still a fun date I bet.

C44. A fond AKBINGO! memory.
waaaaaaaaay too lazy to try and find it on youtube or some shit. It was an ep where they did that obstacle type race, put on a cosplay outfit, do some shit, etc. Mayu got owned by Inaba AD on a basketball part so she was crying at the end from frustration. Takamina had put on a monkey suit for the race and she goes over to Mayu to hug her to try to comfort her, and Mayu basically tells her to get the fuck away from her. I laugh so hard, ever time I see it, it's fucking hilarious. Takamina just goes into the corner and sits down by herself. It's the combination of Mayu so pissed that she tells Takamina to GTFO and Takamina's reaction. Man, my favorite Bingo moment, ever.
