I had a dream some time ago that got me thinking.
Would it be a good idea for AKI-P to put some AKB (and sister group) songs on Spotify?
Perhaps just the old ones at least?

But is there Spotify in JP?
I had no idea what Spotify was till this post. So i'm not the target audience. Still, surfed around.
I can't see anything about the service launching in JP yet (need to use overseas account workaround or something?). Might be harder to persuade them if the locals don't have it.
But more importantly, wouldn't this hinder them from keeping that 1mil cd sales record up. :P

Spotify is a Music streaming app available in IOS and Android. Idk if its available in Japan but what matters is us non-Japanese fans.
I dont think it will hinder the AKB's album sales cuz I heard that most people only buy the CD's for the Handshakes and free picture that comes inside it.
AKI P can just shoot out the old songs to Spotify no younger than six months so the latest album sales may continue unhindered by Spotify.
Its an idea it got to mine when I listened to Starmarie (another Jpop Idol group I follow check those girls out) who have all of their latest songs on Spotify. So if Starmarie, Eir Aoi and Perfume does it. Why cant AKB and sister groups cant?
