Well, I must admit I HAET Hitomi's old style. Srsly. I became her fan with Garnet Moon. I can hardly name many of her older songs, but I adore Perseus *^^* So, PASIO is a step back for me :/

Edit: PASIO debuted at #9 on 11/14 and then climbed to #8 on 11/15! Congrats Hitomihime!

Also, sorry for double post beneath, thought the dvd deserved it, even the cover is rather nice

It's still to damn expensive though :/

Hitomi's single Dragonfly sheduled for 1/17 was postponed till February. However she's releasing a duet with Suzuki Masayuki entitled Futari de ii janai on 1/24!

That album, and the single ~Mermaid~ (which is also my favourite song, aedon! LOL), are what has officially made me a Hitomi fan

PASIO isn't my favourite, so I'm not too surprised

But actually, I think #12 isn't so bad for it~ Still in the top 20, ne? I have loved all of Hitomi's other singles from this year though

Well, her single sales have been less than (or around) 10,000 for a while, and I guess avex people assumed if she'd go back to her oldschool Latin style they'd increase... I'm afraid they might drop her in the end ;_; I'm starting to think Shimatani is one of the most underrated pop artists in Japan.

It's always a shame when artists step out of "the box" and aren't given recognition for doing so~ This is kind of off-topic, but just look at Christina Aguilera and her new album. Granted, she has had some success with her first single, but overall, Back to Basics hasn't generated quite the same buzz as her previous two albums did.

I personally *LOVE* Shimatani-hime's more orchestral and dramatic songs~ I think that style suits her better than the "Latin-style" pop they're trying to push her back into

I also prefer her recent styles, both techno-ish dance and classic crossover, to her oldschool music, I couldn't even make myself listen to anything other than Perseus from pre-Garnet Moon material (Garnet Moon made me a fan, yeah, late)... I LOVE her enka debut single though.

Futari de ii janai song seems interesting at least, that Suzuki Masayuki oji-san looks so badass

I wonder what style is it, ballad probably?

LOL Either way, I'm hoping it's a step up from PASIO, which was disappointing to say the least

Even the PV couldn't get me interested, and Shimatani-hime always looks *FLAWLESS* in her PV's^^

Which was her enka debut though? It was Mahiru no Tsuki, ne?

I wonder why it wasn't on any of her albums, though?

I think I still have to get used to PASIO

LOL It'll probably grow on me, though, since *gasp* Ayu's Beautiful Fighters is starting to grow on me too!
