reichsadler has a nice design, i even used it myself for some photoshops, but....
BUT...i dont find words for that, maybe you know what i wanna say...

gosh, my first reaction was that i wanna slap her (ai) in the face for that, but because that might have a bit too much of an impact,
i would give her a free tour through auschwitz.

dam! i mean that brand is only up to controversy on the back of so many innocent ppl

it sucks! its sad, and it made her look bad. very bad!

i also dont think there aint no necessety to change her, but if i had one hour with her, that pic would have been gone from her blog....100%

That's the thing. Even if they had a vague idea about the background of the design logo, they probably still wouldn't care too much. From what I've observed, the Japanese have a very 'meh' view when it comes to things like that (what are considered offensive symbols and whatnot). At least they used to. I think they're more aware of it in general now, but still not completely.

I saw a girl here (in Tokyo) with a backpack earlier that had "JUDAS" written on it and a cross underneath. If I had a backpack like that, I'm sure I'd get disapproving looks if I brought it with me around say the US or various parts of Europe. To them, it's seen as a harmless fashion statement, meaning known or not. This applies to a lot of Asian cultures too, actually. Not just the Japanese.

Truth be told though, a lot of Westerners (read: Americans) have no idea the background of the eagle design either. That's one big reason why it's so popular. I'm sure it wouldn't be as such if they did. Also, it's not hipster-ish to wear it. It's popular, therefore hipsters don't actually wear it. Haha.

wow! thx for the reply. i have nothing against it, but even as a christian: ok 'judas' is bad of course, but the public in most cases, will not find it too offensive i guess...
i know how japanese ppl can be sometimes. when the knew i am german they saluted with raised right arm, yelling 'SS' and stuff.

i have to say its a nice feeling, germany & japan

. i like my nation, but on the other hand...yes....u know the story already.

but i still believe that ai-chan has no idea. not really an image of what happened back then...cause ai-chan is NOT an asshole...
