Day 1: #4 -  7,352
Day 2: #4 -  X,XXX

CNBLUE will get #1 with a big lead.
ClariS seems out of reach now with 16K sub-total, so they will probably get #2, unless one of the competitors has some event planned later in the week.

S/mileage dropped a lot to #9, but Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi is making a come-back from #6 to #3.

Wasamin is still in the race for a weekly #3!

I love her voice. I never though about listening to enka before, but this isn't too bad. The enka version of Heavy Rotation is too cute. :3

Day 1: #4 -  7,352
Day 2: #4 -  5,310
Sub-total: 12,662

Day 3: #6 -  XXXX

- ClariS took #1 today with 5K, totaling around 21K.
- Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi is above Wasamin again today, but the differences are tiny.
- Wasamin is above s/mileage again. However, s/milage had a first day of 11.8K, so with the two extra days they're probably around Wasamin's number as well.

The battle for a weekly #3 will be between Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi, S/mileage and Wasamin. Either way, a weekly #5 would still be epic.

Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi and S/mileage are at #4 and #5! It's looking good!

Her total sales after 4 days are around 18~19K  :thumbup

Wasamin got the weekly #5 - 23,773!

She would have got #4 for beating s/mileage, but there was one competitor I didn't account for... SKE48 managed to sell more in their second week  :O2

For fun, let's see some of the previous singles Wasamin has beaten:

No Sleeves - Kiss no Ryuusei: 20,174
Queen & Elizabeth - Love Wars: 21,179
SKE48 - Tsuyokimono yo: 22,624
WH - Kanpeki Gu no ne: 23,272
Iwasa Misaki – Mujin Eki: 23,773

Outselling SKE48, TomoTomo, No Sleeves and WH --> not bad for an enka solo debut!  XD

I bought the CD/DVD last weekend - Misaki has really done well, nice songs, nice CD/DVD package, I got a bonus photo card with the purchase, lyrics and music score for Mujin'Eki (無人駅) ........and she has a lovely voice with great potential. Very impressive!!!   :twothumbs

Mujin Eki is beautiful as delivered by Wasamin, and the PV is so atmospheric.  I was mesmerized by it and by her voice.  I only just tracked down some of her previous enka performances now (and also found some by Sakura Maya, who is also breathtaking vocally).  I haven't really been into enka that much, but now I'm happy to see the younger generation taking on this traditional form (BTW, I have no Japanese background myself, but an admiration of much of Japanese culture and it's great to see it being preserved and passed along).

I'm still trying to hear the enka version of hebirote - that YouTube on Page 2 has now been set to private viewing only...  hmmm...  Can anyone point me any place for that?

Thankyou so much...  this is...  fantasmagorical!  I love it almost as much as the original, and for atmosphere, actually more.  Yes, like a different song, creating a different feeling...  as powerful as the original, but different.

Thanks a heap to 1991Syamil for putting this to YouTube also.

Does anyone have any idea of the location of the 'unmanned station' where the PV was filmed?

Looking at the signboard which appears a few times behind Wasamin, and not reading a single character of Japanese, I don't get much...  I *think* I see romaji for 'OKU A ?' and 'A NI MA TA GI' (???) and 'HI TA CH ??'  ...  hmmmm...  nothing much I can make any sense of, and that might be some information other than the place name which might be the characters on yellow at the top of the board.

So, anyone who can help here will be greatly appreciated!

Hey, thanks, BarrieV - man, they sure picked a remote location for filming.  I was even wondering Hokkaido, and although it's not it's pretty remote west-coast Tohoku which is about the second-most remote location area, from what I can understand.  It's wild and beautiful up there it seems.

Another map with a few location photos:  http://mapcarta.com/27444024

There's also a photo in summer in the location area on this PDF:  http://www.jrtt.go.jp/11English/pdf/RailwayAssist-8.pdf - last page, second photo in the second column, where the caption mentions Okuani.  A few other pretty railway location scenes on that brochure, too.

Oh, and...  I get the sign:  Animatagi and Hitachinai are the neighbouring stations in opposite directions along the line through the valley.  Cool.

From the video, it's a good thing they didn't plan the shoot for February - no trains going down that line for a few weeks, I'd say!  Pity the filmmaker didn't pause a little on the signboard just before he came out onto the station platform, it looked kinda interesting.  But it's good to see the context in which the video is made, and maybe he'd go back there in the spring as the snow is melting and give us another look.  Thanks, kitayoshi56, whoever you are!

Anyway, I love the location, the atmosphere, the whole thing.  Knowing the location brings it all even more close and alive.

Whenever I hear enka, I simply snicker at it because it sounds really old and unenergetic, but this one's something else. At a very young age of 17, the voice is so whole and high, and the Hebirote enka version wasn't as bad as I expected xD Keep it up Wasamin!
