Starring: Sayaka Yamamoto, Yokoyama Yui, Watanabe Miyuki, Yamada Nana, Kotani Riho, Ogasawara Mayu

NMB48's comedy show "Geinin!" will be coming to the big screen, being adopted into a full length movie.

"Geinin!" was a Nippon TV series that aired from July 7th to September 25th in 2012. The show's premise was that various NMB48 members that featured in it were members of a comedy club in an all-girls private school. The girls were training to compete to win the school's comedy championship.

The movie version will have the same setting and concept, but the actual story will be original. The movie will star Yamamoto Sayaka, Watanabe Miyuki, Yokoyama Yui, Yamada Nana, Ogasawara Mayu and Kotani Riho. All of the remaining NMB48 members are set to make guest appearances as well, most of whom will play girls from rival schools. This is the first time for a sister group of AKB48 to have all their members appear in a single movie.

Yokoyama Yui, member of both AKB48 and NMB48 commented, "This is NMB48's 1st movie, and my first movie as well, so I'm very happy. I wasn't a member of NMB48 when the original TV show aired, but Idid watch the program,"

Filming for the movie has already begun, and the movie is set to premiere at the 5th Okinawa International Movie Festival and compete in the Laugh Category.

So they began filming the movie in early February, but the 2nd season is scheduled to air next week. I wonder what kind of sequence the movie will take. I'm guessing we don't really know the plot of the movie yet, but I guess it's safe to assume it'll support the end of season 2.

I'm really looking forward to Yui-han's appearance! When Yui-han was announced to transfer to NMB, I immediately thought of NMB Geinin and how she would be great for the show (and yeah as well as NMB haha).

I watched Season 2 Ep 1 with completely the wrong mindset...

All I was thinking was "c'mon Yui, can't wait for Yui, time for Yui, let's go Yui, Yui Yui Yui, etc."

So yeah, I was disappoint. However, next ep is looking good

^^ I, on the other hand, went in thinking "Yay, more NMB48 Geinin!". So I wasn't disappointed at all.

Yeah the 1st episode was kinda boring. I think it was ripopo's character, just kind of a downer that really dragged the show down. It's not that her character can't be funny, it's just that she has to learn to properly portray it. She'll get the hang of it soon...I hope.

And yeah, can't wait for Yuihan!

I was happy to have the show back, so no disappointments here.

Riho was a lot of fun- no matter how much Gotou san criticizes her she just giggles.
And Fuuchan was cute and sparkly.
And nurse Kei was back....Yay!

^ that was the show of the season so far!!!

The girls finally hit their stride, everyone relaxed, super cute, good jokes-
Nana is really parlaying her inability to tell jokes normally into a strong point!
Milky doing Milky never disappoints- Mayu seems to be winning over Goto san!

And great performance by Hitomi, very talented, pretty and funny girl- but she has chosen
to concentrate at school so that she can enter the high school of her choice- good luck!!

Bonus points- Syu Yabushita and Keira Yogi at the end- lethal combo!
