I'm unzipping the album right now

I've only heard 'NU ABO' and 'Ice Cream' so far and I'm really, really digging 'Ice Cream'!! It's got a nice beat and I just love how it's cute, but not cutesy.

Just finished listening to the new f(x) album... thoughts:

NU ABO - I love the beat. Fave part is the chorus. Rest of song is alright. Still doesn't top LA chA TA IMO.

Mr. Boogie - (lol, i totally typed Mr. Boobie, at first) WIN. Pretty cool and catchy.

Ice Cream - Cute song.

ME+U - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the music. Got that 8-bit feel to it, but OMG the first time I listened I was like OMGWTRF IS UP WITH THIS SINGING? I was irritated by the high voices... but upon my second listen... it's OK. The singing kinda fits. Weird, but it fits.

Surprise Party - Meh.

Sorry (Dear. Daddy) - Aww. This is a lovely ballad.

Nu ABO: Good song, not exactly singing. The beat is sick but the cheering </3
Mr. Boogie: Wished this was the title track. I'm guessing they didn't make it so because it's not exactly "new".
Ice Cream/Surprise Party: Happy songs, and Ice Cream sounds like an SNSD song. Not bad
Me+U: First thought = WTF is this? lol I still haven't listened to the whole thing because it's all over the place.
Dear Daddy: Pure love. I'm a sucker for slow songs. But Sica needs to gtfo lol. It's frightening how Krystal can sound JUST. LIKE. HER.

May 6th = MV release!

Slightly underwhelming? It had some good points and some bad haha

I think Mr. Boogie and Sorry (Dear Daddy) are my favs. Mr. Boogie is especially awesome. Dear Daddy is a really nice, I'm guessing its a Luna-Krystal duet? It has a totally different vibe than Dear Mom even though both kinda have an RnB beat/piano/strings thing going on.

Overall I can't help but think the whole promotions package just needs more character. Kinda the same as their previous stuff.

Eh, in some ways I like it better than RDR, which was getting uncomfortably H!P-squeaky clean for a supposed dark concept. Even the dance was super-idolly, as opposed to this one which has a whole lot more attitude that I'm digging.

Plus SNSD has never posed with a gun before.

Did anyone else notice that in the MV, when Seolri is buying that ticket from Luna, she's smiling, leaning on the counter, and flirting? As soon as she gets out, Luna wants to flirt some more but Seolri just turns away and so Luna gives her a mad pout

Sigh, I know the lyrics don't make any freaking sense at all, but the mini album is good (minus... Ice Cream) so I'll forgive them. Anything's better than Chu (even though that song made more sense than NU ABO). I get how half the lyrics are supposed to fit the NU ABO concept about being new bloods, and no one understands them and everyone's on their case... but the lyrics as a whole just don't make sense at all xD I got lost about half way in.
