Kudo was 1 years old when The Peace came out.
Watching a portion of The Peace!! with the current line up in 2013 I think shows how timeless that song is. It doesn't feel old to me. It doesn't have that classic-karaoke-worn-out feel that RR21 and Love Machine have gotten.
I can still feel the vibe of that song with none of the original participating members in that single present in the performance. It could be me.
And I think it is only in Morning Musume where you can call a song (collectively) yours even before you were actually born. Kudo hadn't even been born when the first MM single that made it at #1 came out and she can still say "our song" referring to it.
Oh they named it "Morning Musume's Full come-back. A graduation live in Shibuya station."
awesome line there.
And he (god I forgot his name, the guy who talks) says they're getting popular again (he uses "sai-break" which would mean break again, but I forget if that's a common English term lol). And that there were old fans from the early days at the event as well as new fans who are still students. Also that the fans especially look to the dancing of the current lineup.
Then he says: So who knows, maybe Momusu will be the thing again.
The older man: No, they are becoming it again, I've heard people say that.
Amen.
