General Japanese Hip-Hop Thread

I was wondering how many J-Hip-Hop fans there are here, and who you like. I've only heard stuff from m-flo and SOUL'd OUT, but I like them a lot. What are some of your favorite groups and songs?

Mine are:
m-flo - The Quantum Leap
          DOPAMINE w/ Emyli and Diggy-Mo
WAY U MOVE w/ Dragon Ash
          Ten Below Blazing
SOUL'd OUT - CLONE AS A FUNNY CREATURE PREACHER
                    To All Tha Dreamers

Tons of stuff.  I love Ketsumeishi, M-Flo, Heartsdales, Bennie K, and soul'd out, among others I'm discovering all the time.  M-Flo is especially awesome since they collaborate with everyone under the sun, so their sound is crazy diverse.

soul'd out is shit.

old school mflo was way better. i don't even consider them hiphop anymore.

rumi is someone i suggest. i never thought there was such thing as good hiphop in japan untill i heard rumi.

Thanks for the song. I didn't really care for it too much but I would like to check some more stuff before I dismiss Rumi based on this one song.

Rip Slyme is the way to go!  Their albums, Masterpiece, Five, and Time to Go are good.

If you like japanese rap/rnb you better check out Culture Universal, it's definitely the best site about japanese urban music.

Anyways my favourite groups and artists are Nujabes, Nitro Microphone Underground, Muro, Rappagariya, Rhymester, IQ, K-Dub Shine, DJ Tonk, DJ Krush, Fu-Ten and many others.
I'm not a big fan of all these hip-pop bands like Rip Slyme, M-flo and Heartsdales.

Thanks again Jin. I really liked Otona To Yobe, everything about that one was good. Bourei Pape's beat was cool. Wasn't really feelin Akimecra though. Overall, Rumi's stuff is real good.

not into the urban scene as much as i used to.

im more into the moody, chillax atmosphere hip hop songs. so.. Rip Slyme stuff. Masterpiece was a good album.
some Dragon Ash.. i dont really listen to them, but i liked what Kenji did with Steady and Co.
Home Made Kazoku's Thank You!! single was pretty good too.
m-flo, good stuff, cuz they actually diversify their sound.
DJ Hasebe's stuff is good too, at least what ive heard.. which is not much

lol and of course SALT5, cant mess with them.

Just out of curiosity, is there actually JHipHop.  I started noticing that regardless of what the J-song is categorized, most things are popish

M-flo's cool, I loved the duets they do with other artists.  There's also this one J-HH video that I saw I few months back, where a bunch of guys were just sitting around a pool looking at chicks in bikinis.  I don't know the name of the song, but I definitely liked the video!!!   :w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:

Would Orange Range be considered J-HH?  If so, loved thier songs Hana and Locolotion.

I was afraid to try the J-Hip-Hop since i don't like american's. But since i heard m-Flo and saw a couple of PVs of Rip Slyme i'm hooked  8)

I really recomend the PVs Funkastic and Galaxy from Rip Slyme and the album Astromantic of m-Flo. The best Hip-Hop i've heard on earth ^^
