OMG!!
Brace yourselves, cos Hello Project's Special Forces are going on a worldwide campaign in SEVEN COUNTRIES!
They will be hitting surgical targets in For those of you living in the following countries, time to get yourselves ready for concerts in:
• The United States
• United Kingdom
• France
• Germany
• Mexico
• Thailand
• Malaysia
-
Wait WHAT?! FOR REAL?!?!?!?!?!! O____________O
-
I really hope the U.S. is more than just LA and New York. Want to see Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, and Orlando. Really get the corners and give most everyone a chance to see them.
-
Yes, this is for real! They announced it on this week's Hello Station (skip to 8:05)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKU7CzzAxnc&t=8m5s
No word yet on which cities specifically, but London (UK), Paris (France), Mexico City (Mexico), Bangkok (Thailand), and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) are very likely. For the US my guesses are New York or Los Angeles, with San Francisco and Seattle also highly likely. For Germany maybe Berlin or Koln?
But yeah, this is kind of a surprise; I wasn't expecting them to be next on the "H!P outside of East Asia" list (let alone an actual "world tour" and not just a one-off), especially with the low-key nature of their Japan tours and their sparse releases last year. Of course, I can't complain, because they're a great group with lots of fun songs, so whichever American city they pick I'm gonna support them!
-
Hopefully this sets a precedence for the other groups like MM & Angerme
Perhaps Upfront management had enough of the ridicule "even Babymetal have had multiple world tours! And ya call yourselves the older establishment?"
Hoping the next H!P group to have a world tour gets a full one with more cities/countries/continents (e.g. Canada, Spain, Australia)
...though I doubt J=j will be doing the big arenas like London O2, Staples Center, or Berlin Mercedes-Benz Arena :nervous
-
J=J is like an experimental unit for H!P, a guinea pig if you may, for Hello Project to test water and see if their music and idol grps has what it takes to go global. Should Juice=Juice world tour be a success, their mission will be a pre-cursor to the rest of Hello Project units going global as well..so Juice=Juice in a true sense is like a pathfinder. C-ute may be the pioneer when it comes to being the 1st in international tours for H!P (correct me if Im wrong), but J=J...thats like truly committing to an aim to go global...unless of cos the intention is to make this tour a one-off thing for only this group.
When you wanna conquer the world, the first thing you do is send advance scouts or talented special forces selected to operate behind enemy lines..recon..blow up a few key targets, etc...and pave the way for the regular armed forces for an all-out invasion. J=J is in a true sense such a unit for Hello Project.
I mean look at this lineup...Personality..Yuka has it. Beauty, Aari and Kanatomo's got plenty, Talent, no need even to mention Sayuki and the idol cyborg, plus Tomoko's also pretty strong vocally...and in just 3 years..they have such great stage presence. I would definitely be going to my neighbour country just to watch them live. this will be a dream come true for me.
-
Also no one in J=J is underage/still in school and they're a smaller group, so I imagine it's easier to send them on a World Tour as well. I'm definitely still excited about the possibilities this holds though!!!!!

Mexico's location and date has been confirmed! September 8 in Mexico City!
https://twitter.com/thenumber244/status/852636563884331008
This complicates my own hunches for the US date and city, as it's the same weekend as J-Pop Summit in San Francisco; not sure if it'd be worth it for them to still make a day 2 appearance there. But at least we can now start predicting a time frame for when they start traveling.

No detailed schedule for the rest of the countries yet? And why would they start at Mexico? US is nearer to Japan geographically yes? esp if they start on the west coast and work their way east, then south to Mexico, and across the Atlantic.
At least if I know how long they would be touring, I could make an educated guess the period they would be near where I live and plan ahead.
-
Here's a Facebook link to what's going down in Mexico:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1490507970969201/
VIP tickets appear to cost 3 times as much as regular, and include a handshake event and autographed photobook. It might be safe to assume that the other cities will get the same deal.

There's no confirmation that Mexico is necessarily first on the tour schedule, they're just the first of the locations that we're able to confirm the details. I'm sure when C-ute's Paris concert happens we'll know more about J=J's France details from fans there.
-
I've binge listened to their songs and pretty much am okay with it. Not sure IF I can go but if they can get decent crowds from International fans, it'll be good for everyone :nervous
My theory could be starting off in Europe and then going back towards Asia (could be the other way around but you never know) I wouldn't let Mexico be a starting point as much as just the first one to agree to time and place. If C-ute in France gives any indication then we may anticipate where the dates may land :nervous

I just noticed that Juice=Juice has an artist page on AXS (even though it's essentially blank):
https://www.axs.com/artists/979411/juicejuice
AXS is the same service that handled tickets for Morning Musume's 2014 New York concert (and MM also has an artist page (https://www.axs.com/artists/252453/morning-musumey-14-tickets)), so this could be something to keep an eye on, especially with other current H!P groups not having any AXS presence.
Although for some reason there's also a page for Berryz Kobo (https://www.axs.com/artists/574772/berryz), who never had a standalone concert in the US (they came only via conventions)...
-
Juice=Juice will be in Thailand for Viral Fest Asia next month. God, I wish I could be in Bangkok next month.

Still no word on the United States, Malaysia, and Thailand tour dates; hopefully those are still happening!
-
C'mon now...don't keep me hangin, UF. I wanna watch my special forces in action
-
Based on that timeline and the order of locations, the US is probably going to be the 10th or the 12th. The 10th would be Sunday, and the 12th would be Tuesday.
I'm going to guess not the west coast for their US location, since going west from Mexico City and then crossing all the way over the US on the way to Europe is extra time and money. DFW and ATL would be good candidates for the international airport they'd fly into.
-
Looks like the time period between Mexico City and London is a no-go for any possible US date; they go back to Japan for a major debut anniversary show during that week:
http://www.up-fc.jp/helloproject/news_Info.php?id=10647
My guess now is late September or early October for the rest of the world tour. The rest of the world tour is still a thing, right?

So it could end up being... SE Asia to US and then return
-
Well, if they're gonna be continuous right after Germany it'd make sense for the US to be next before Southeast Asia since we're closer; the other way around would only make sense if they're stopping by Japan again.
-
Well true but could be anything based on timing and other unknown factors
-
Well, I'm still being left in limbo here cos I'm not sure how long I'm gonna be working in Malaysia and if I could make it to their stop here. Still, I sure hope this world tour will just be the 5-nin. I would've loved for the shin members to make an appearance but as a hardcore fan, I feel that they havent earned that right yet.
-
Man, that's just a bizarre scheduling of things. My guess is that they originally planned the US concert during that time, but couldn't get the visas for it. Otherwise, it makes no sense to do the World Tour at that time period in the first place.
And it does make you wonder if the management knew they were going to have the shuffle when they planned the world tour. Based on how 12th gen didn't go to Houston, I don't think the new members will be going, either. Curses, I definitely would have thrown money at them to meet Yanamin in VIP.
-
It feels like the longer the wait, the concept maybe to actually have 7-nin from Mexico (if possible) unless they go from Japan to fly over to London.
This is probably the most interesting world tour ever for any group that seems disconnected when it actually happens between cities :nervous
-
Based on how 12th gen didn't go to Houston
Did you mean New York? I'm pretty sure 12th gen did go to Houston (or did I imagine things in English)
-
^ Yeah, you're right. :nervous
12th gen didn't go to NY, shortly after they joined.

More news!
Juice=Juice will be in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia as guests for the Japan x Malaysia Friendship Concert on September 23:
https://www.facebook.com/FriendshipConcert/posts/577055246016091
https://twitter.com/teyucheng/status/885315768434307073
Not sure if this counts as their official Malaysia tour stop, but it's something to consider regarding when and how their remaining unannounced locations will be.
Also announced on their blog: their July 13 concert is their last as a quintet, so we could very well be seeing Ruru and Yanamin with them on this tour!
http://ameblo.jp/juicejuice-official/entry-12291796528.html
-
There is a rumour going around that the new 7-nin Juice=Juice will be performing at Nippon Budokan this November 20. OMG is this true? What about their World Tour then, if this turns out to be a fact?:

UPDATES! Great news for some, disappointing lack of news for others...
https://www.facebook.com/notes/up-front-link/en-juicejuice-live-around-2017world-tour-update-information/1473034892755423/
First the great news: Ruru and Yanamin are confirmed to be part of the tour! Unfortunately the lateness of the London concert means they won't be available for the post-concert handshakes there due to their ages. (France and Germany should be fine for them, I think)
Also, the Mexico City concert will be switching to a larger venue, allowing more people a chance to see them there! (still happening on September 8th)
Also two new countries have been added to the tour! Jakarta, Indonesia on September 24 and Taipei, Taiwan on October 1.
Unfortunately STILL NO WORD ON THE UNITED STATES ARRRRGH...but to be fair also still no word on Thailand either, so hopefully those will be confirmed eventually. Still, the lateness of such announcements will complicate travel plans for those wanting to see them.

TokyoGirlsUpdate.com - Important Announcement of Juice=Juice’s World Tour and Condition of Karin Miyamoto (https://tokyogirlsupdate.com/jj-world-tour-201708128897.html)
Having difficulty with her voice, Karin Miyamoto performed without using her voice for several concerts. After being tested, Karin was disguised with functional dysphonia. The management discussed with the doctor, her parents and herself, and decided to take a break from all activities that will require her to use her voice.
:OMG:
-
That article seems to be stating what's already known about Karin (currently on a performance break due to voice troubles) but doesn't say whether she will or won't be on the tour, which starts in September. Hopefully she'll be rested and recovered in time to join the tour (or at the very least, join them in a non-singing performance capacity).
-
Great news for international fans: Karin will be returning to the group later this week, which means she'll be part of the world tour! :w00t:

So, Juice=Juice stealthy Special Forces insertion into Mexico was met with failure cos there are fans who were expecting them there

But they soon instantly captured the hearts of their Mexican fans...so sweet and down to earth of them to grant the fans a long-range selfie despite the organizers saying "no"

Since Juice=Juice is rejoining the Fleet for Harocon after the last country (Taiwan), its safe to assume US is out of this year's world tour
-
OMG! In less than 24 hours, I will finally get to see them LIVE!! I won't be able to sleep tonight!! :P
-
I was glad I made it in time to reach Sunway just before the concert started though I missed out the chance for the meet-n-greet with the girls which took place earlier at 2PM local Malaysia time. Unexpectedly Juice=Juice was given the honour of opening the Malaysia-Japan Friendship concert.
They were so cute when each girl was introducing herself in Malay:
At Sunway Putra Mall (before the actual concert):
https://youtu.be/8fh7gek91ss
MC:

And just a snippet of Fiesta-Fiesta:
https://youtu.be/1-LU-3z_THc
I was stunned when J=J took the stage as the first group to perform. Its true what they said...they were so much more beautiful in PERSON! I was like truly mesmerized and the whole experience was surreal to me...they were standing just a few meters away from me! "Was this really happening?" I kept thinking to myself.
Captain Yuka had this flirtatious look when she performs (I can't stop grinning whenever that flirty smile of hers was flashed). Tomoko was awesome as always. It goes without saying that Sayuki was as phenomenal vocally like a diva as she could possibly get. The idol cyborg? If there were signs of fatigue from their flights, it didn't show cos Karin-chan was explosive. Akari was hyper and smiling as always. Nanami and Ruru showed so much enthusiasm it was infectious. I would've wished they'd performed a full solo concert here in Malaysia, but the girls really made my year in 2017! Such strong performers and they certainly are worthy of being Hello Project's (if not in future, Japan's) representative in future world music events.
I will always love Juice=Juice! Their performance today reaffirms that love I've had for them since the very beginning.
-
The mission in Indonesia's yesterday was met with microphone troubles. And true to their special forces nature of teamwork, the girls improvised and relayed the microphone by hand during the song. This earned them applause & respect from The Indonesian Juice=Juice Family:

And I'm still beating myself up why I wasn't able to make it to the Malaysia Meet and Greet...when all THIS is happening! (this picture is wrong on so many levels  )

Tomoko dominating Karin (What else is new?), Aarii and Sayubee is literally molesting poor Nanami..and Ruru... WTH, Ruru...that's your Commanding Officer for God's sake!

The South American campaign will be brutal on the girls, not only the tight schedule, long distance flights spanning the width of the South American continent but most of all, altitude :(. I hope despite being the Special Forces unit that they are, they are given more time to acclimatize and the last thing I want is for some of the members to suffer altitude sickness before the live . Just to give you an idea, here's a map of their intended strike targets (ie. concert cities areas). Total travel distance is over 7400 kilometers :shocked
