Gee is currently third in the Jbook real time singles chart. Because JBook counts different editions of the same single separately, the Johnny's group NYC currently is in first and second place. They are also the favorite to take first place in the Oricon daily and weekly charts, with SNSD favorite for second place.

Oricon also polls which new single release people have the intention to buy. This week Gee came second behind NYC. Oricon NINKI weekly singles poll.

btw GENIE was still 24th today

One 2ch poster guesstimated that GENIE sold 13K on its first day. This would mean Gee more than doubled that. Let's see if Gee can keep up the high sales the rest of the week.

Is there going to be any more Japanese promo besides heyheyhey and music station? I kinda feel bad for the girls having to promote Gee and Hoot right around the same time. Hopefully they don't get over worked and stressed out

Half-day sales to day is 3.000something, I think. We should watch out for Saturday because then they'll already have appeared on Music Station, tha should help their sales too. With Genie, they had a live performance on a morning show and it helped a lot.

For now, it's just MS, Hey!x3 and NHK's Music Japan, I think, and only MS is live, so they're probably in Japan now. The other 2 shows they've already recorded.

I used to buy all the different versions of Morning Musume singles. Actually, in this case I pre-ordered only the limited edition of Gee. Then they announced that the first press of the regular edition would come with a sticker, which I must have of course. Fortunately CDJapan lets you combine orders, plus I had some extra frequent shopper points I could apply. So that's what I did.
