^ Update:

It's now called: AKB48 [Music Video Request 2012]

Lost my original source for this...doh

Aki-P says:
Quote
This is regarding the plan of making music video for songs which we do not have a music video for yet.
I like the idea of choosing the songs according to fans votes, but it’s not so exciting if only one song get to have a music video as a result of it.
We should make at least three songs and make new music videos for them.

SomethingWild, care for another round?

Dear fans of AKB48,

This is Miyabi, from a Japanese TV production company.
The first pilot of "IINE! JAPAN - Nippon Daisuki Gaikokujin Grand Prix (Like!JAPAN Nippon Maniacs Grand Prix)" went well.
I appreciate all who actually came to Japan and also applied for this event.

We are going to produce another episode and are planning to do AKB48 quiz again!
Therefore, I'm posting this information here on Everyday48.
There is a possibility that we might be doing elimination round in some places outside of Japan. Then, final quiz will be taken a place in Tokyo!

If you are interested in this quiz event, please e-mail me at miyabi@collab.co.jp
Please e-mail me with following information;

- Name
- Age
- Occupation
- Where you live (including city/town)
- Nationality
- Who is your OSHI
- How long you’ve been a fan of AKB48
- Give me a few points what made you being a fan of AKB48
- What is your favorite song
- Introduce us your best AKB item (ex: CD, Tour Towel, photo with members of AKB…etc)
- If you have any collection of AKB items, let us know
- Make an appeal how much you like AKB and you know about AKB
- Do you speak any Japanese?
- Have you ever been to Japan? If so, when was it and how many times?
- Skype name

We would also like you to take a short video and make an appeal how much you like AKB and you know about AKB.
It does not have to be a long one. Within 5 minutes would be enough. After taking video, please send it to me through e-mail or such yousendit. Within a video, you can do anything you like. You can sing, dance, introduce your OSHI, or anything.

*Please let me know if you do not like to take a video. We will be able to consider without the video but please send a profile picture instead:-)

There were some confusions on the internet last time and I felt very sorry about this. I'm the main person who is in charge of AKB48 quiz for this program.

Please feel free to ask me any questions about us or our show.

Thank you very much!
Miyabi ITO miyabi@collab.co.jp

Ueto Aya remains the CM Queen in the first half of 2012
by HPriest on August 9, 2012 at 1:53 pm

On August 8th, Video Research Ltd. once again released various statistics about the usage of commercials in the first half of 2012. As usual, they concentrated their analysis on the three main regions of Japan (Kanto, Kansai, and Nagoya) and the five main commercial networks.

The results show that the amount of commercials slightly increased again by 3% in all three regions compared to last year. Especially the number of commercials that air during a program recorded a sharp increase by more than 20%, while the number of spots that air in between programs haven’t changed much. Looking at the different categories of commercials, it’s the general automobile commercials that eventually climbed up at the top again with an extreme increase of 161.1% in Kanto, 164.3% in Kanto, and 161.9% in Nagoya.

After suffering from the Great Tohoku Earthquake last year, the automobile industry are experiencing tailwind again this year. The eco-car tax reduction also caused an increasing number of commercials (approximately 150%) for light motor vehicles in all three regions.

When looking at the talents used in commercials, it was actress Ueto Aya that claimed the top in all three regions again. Actress Takei Emi claimed second place in Kanto, while AKB48’s Oshima Yuko came in second place in Kansai and Nagoya. Third place went to AKB48’s Maeda Atsuko in all three regions. Two people experienced huge boost during the first half of 2012, actress Gouriki Ayame and actor/comedian Takada Junji, who both jumped from the 300th place and beyond into the top 20 in all three regions.

You can check out the talent rankings below!

^ Didn't read far but two errors in the first two paragraphs...

1. "performing three sold-out shows from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26 at the Tokyo Dome"
I'm sure it will sell out, but tickets haven't even gone on sale yet...

2. "Rino Sashihara, a 19-year-old singer who's been involved with AKB48 since 2007, won't be part of the Tokyo Dome performance"
Haven't heard that anywhere else...

But speaking of Tokyo Dome tickets...

:panic: TOKYO DOME TICKETS GO ON SALE IN 6 HOURS TIME  :panic:

Actress Narumi Riko recently celebrated her 20th birthday and enjoyed the taste of champagne for the first time in her life. She already has been in the industry for a very long time and over the years she was always very composed and mature whenever she appeared in public. In recent years, she also has rarely played characters with that certain naivety that’s typical for girls her age.

On that occasion, a new poll was put up on the mobile polling service of goo and NTT DoCoMo that presented their members with a list of young female celebrities who have yet to celebrate their 20th birthday but are mature like Narumi.

It was a list of actresses, singers, idols, and models who usually appear and/or act more mature than they actually are and goo wanted to find out who their users would select.

Check out the results below!

-

Female celebrities who make it hard to believe they are still in their teens?

01 – 8,635 votes – Takei Emi
 02 – 8,409 votes – Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
 03 – 2,889 votes – Gouriki Ayame
04 – 1,914 votes – Sashihara Rino
 05 – 1,844 votes – Matsui Jurina

 06 – 1,649 votes – Shida Mirai
 07 – 1,028 votes – Kutsuna Shiori
08 – 826 votes – Minegishi Minami
 09 – 553 votes – Watanabe Mayu

 10 – 422 votes – Sakuraba Nanami
 11 – 284 votes – Kawashima Umika
 12 – 247 votes – Kawaguchi Haruna
 13 – 159 votes – Tsuchiya Hazuki
 14 – 769 votes – Others, not listed

Note: The poll was conducted from August 18th until August 25th.

AKB48 Members, Itano Tomomi, Watanabe Mayu and Kashiwagi Yuki star new Ad campaign for Cupnoodle
New commercial series for Nissin Cupnoodles “Cup Noodle Robo Timer Trio campaing” will start airing from Sep 8, nationwide. This new series of Cupnoodles ad campaign, again, features AKB48 members. This time, Itano Tomomi, Watanabe Mayu and Kashiwagi Yuki play the trio for the commercial series.

This series consists of 4 commercials, “宣伝指令篇” (The order to promote the Cupnoodle), “板野友美の宣伝篇” (promotion by Itano Tomomi), “渡辺麻友の宣伝篇” (promotion by Watanabe Mayu) , “柏木由紀の宣伝篇” (Promotion by Kashiwagi Yuki).

To commemorate the birthday of Cupnoodle (Sep 18), the three compete against each other to increase the number of applicants for the bonus items of this campaign, “Cup Noodle Robo Timer Trio”.

In the commercials, you can see how they tried promoting Cupnoodles ad-lib, without any written scripts.

The bonus item for this campaign “Cupnoodle Robo Timer Trio” is a toy that makes 3 minutes of waiting time for Cupnoodle totally enjoyable. When you push the button, it transforms from Cupnoodle to Robot, and entertains you with unique movement and talking during 3 minutes until Cupnoodle gets ready.

Itano: Cupnoodle Robo Timer
Watanabe Mayu: Cupnoodle Curry Robo Timer
Kashiwagi Yuki: Cupnoodle Seafood Robo Timer

After the members chose their favorite Robo, the director of the commercial told them, “We haven’t yet decided what exactly we will film for the commercial! So please just promote Robo Timers you’ve just chosen to viewers so that they want to get one!”

Mayuyu, who’s chosen “Cupnoodle Curry Robo Timer”, the character which is “hard-boiled” according to the setting of the commercial, was a little embarrassed by Robo’s remarks like, “Prepare a fork, bro!!”, “Thanks for waiting, Bro!! It’s 3 minutes. Booom!!” But for the real filming, she was strong enough that never got timid to the Curry Robo. She was smart enough to complement him by saying “You’re such manly!”, and added “Sometimes I can’’t keep up with his talking…. But including these points, his charm point is “manliness”!!!”. She concluded promoting for the Curry Robo confidently.
