Ryoko gave birth to her second son back in February, and she has indicated she wants to gradually get back to work after the family has settled down......but hope she takes her time and enjoys spending it with her husband, actor Masachika Ichimura, and their two boys for awhile longer.....

but just to hold down the fort, here is an old CM with Ryoko, with her song as the background.........The CM is for Mandom, well known for their Charles Bronson CM:

I agree totally, that old tv show and comedian were totally unfair for Ryoko...

Ryoko appeared as a special guest at this appearance by the voice actors
from the One Piece animated film this past December.

and runs the bases.

Ryoko's first drama in a long time is starting up on April 11th and is called Last Cinderella, some info on it with a short promo video for it too.

It is said that 60% of unmarried women between the ages of 25 ~ 35 find themselves becoming more masculine. The drama will feature “Oyaji Joshi” (lit. old-guy woman, a woman who acts like she is an old man ) who devotes herself to work.

‘Toyama Sakura’ (Shinohara) is a 39-year-old woman who has not had a boyfriend in 10 years. Though she works as a vice store manager at a beauty parlor named “HAPPY-GO-LUCKY” and is in very high demand by their clients due to her amazing skills, she is careless about her style.

She has a tender heart and a strong sense of justice, but she can be cowardly in terms of love. Recently, she is flustered by a couple of beard hairs that have started growing on her chin, which she thinks is due to overworking and a hormonal imbalance. Afraid of gradually transforming into a man herself, she decides to attend a certain party and there she meets the “carnivorous” pro BMX rider ‘Saeki Hiroto’ (Miura)

The other love interest of Sakura in this drama is ‘Tachiban Rintaro’ (Fujiki), the manager of “HAPPY-GO-LUCKY”. Though Rintaro looks cool at first sight, he has a wicked tongue and loves dirty jokes.
