Kurumi was one of a few lucky young actresses and actors who got to work with Japanese rock legend Keisuke Kuwata
in a series of CMs for DoCoMo. In her version, she got to play a dancer, which was her specialty at the time of her

Kurumi has a supporting role in this film:

遠くでずっとそばにいる / Toku de Zutto Soba ni Iru {English title: Far Away So Close}

is a new film directed by Masahiko Nagasawa, set to be released in June 2013.
Based on the 2012 novel 'Toku de Zutto Soba ni Iru' by Kyoko Inukai.

and starring.......................Kana san!!!

along with actor Yuta Nakano, the actress Kana (伽奈), actress Kurumi Shimizu, actor Yoshimi Tokui, and actor Seiji Rokkaku .

The plot is about 27-year-old Sakumi Shimura (played by Kana Kurashina) who has lost her memory of the last ten years due to an auto accident
She can only remember things up until she was 17 years old, and tries to remain positive.

But.....can guarantee that this film will have some sads.....................

But good job Kurashina Kana!!!!

Kurimi has been cast in new drama - 狸な家族　Tanukina Kazoku (Racoon Family)、
which stars 渡辺いっけい Ikkei Watanabe, and 坂井真紀 Maki Sakai.

The program will air on NHK BS Premium 3, and starts on June 26.

Kurumi starred in 'Jinks!!!' (ジンクス), which was released
In Fall, 2013.

Her co-stars were Hyomin (from T-ara) and
Kento Yamazaki.

Hyomin plays a college exchange student from Korea,
who sees longtime friends (played by Kurumi & Kento)
who should really be together as a couple- so she gets involved by dispensing
some Korean love secrets to help the love blossom.

Director is Naoto Kumazawa.
