Kanna joined the group almost a half a year after the name ºC-ute was formed. She was originally part of the Hello! Project Eggs and was one of the most talked about members of Tomoiki because of how cute she was (I'm pretty sure!). Kanna is SUPER SUPER SUPER cute, but not much is really known about her. At first, she seemed not to get along with the members of ºC-ute extremely well for whatever reason (you can notice it in the SF videos), but hopefully they're all getting along now :lol: Anyways, she doesn't have the great voice, but her dancing from what I've seen of it makes up for it!

Didn't really pay attention to her in the Tomoiki Flets I saw, but the moment she joined C-ute I started liking her :P In the first Wakkyanai perfs I saw with her, her dancing really stood out to me... Something that was really weird because with Berryz/C-ute I don't really notice a difference in dancing skills most of the time. I'm just no expert, you know!!
Anyway, gotta travel.

Anyways, just watched her SF video, and OMG! There was a lot of Chinami/Kanna action going on at the beginning that was COMPLETELY ADORABLE! They were like glomping each!! :kcrazy: Besides that, I noticed that a lot of the C-ute members don't really talk to her... or many H!P members besides quick comments. I saw her talking with Maimi & NakaSaki (they're futsal partners) a lot, and Erika talked to her, but not really anyone else. I felt kinda bad xD There was also the part where she trips, and the only one who stops and asks if she was alright/helped her is TakaAi :ksad: My TakaAi fandom moved her up to #2 just for that act :lol:
But Kanna is my #2 favorite C-ute member just for her adorableness :heart:

What?? i was sure i had posted in this thread!! Gomenasai :P I love Kanna. I noticed her the first time when i saw some video with her and other eggs at some eco festival. Ofcourse all the girls were cute but i really thought Kanna stood out, she was just super cute. After that i kind of forgot about her until she joined C-ute and i have been her fan since :P I just watched the translated Hello Pro Hour with her and it just made me love her more. The only thing that disappointed me was her 'funny' face.. it was just a normal pose. But it was one of her first appearances on a show so i guess she didn't want to look embarassing if her friends or family saw it.

I watched it last night!!! It was adorable :heart: It was nice to know what was being said, and I support my, "It was nice that it was Gaki as the host." Since it was Kanna's first talk appearance, if they picked someone like one of the older girls or something, I could imagine Kanna being more nervous, but Gaki really lightened the mood, and it seemed easier for someone who was nervous to get used to? I dunno XD

i don't see much of c-ute very often but when i do Kanna and Airi my god do they catch my eye. I loved her I WISH performance on HPH it wasn't a great performance vocally but it was entertaining watched it over and over. I don't have much go to by but i think she's very photogenic and looks absolutely adorable. And a smile that just melts :heart:

My absolute favorite member tied in with Airi! :heart: She's just too adorable, beyond words. She's a pretty good singer and dancer too! It's just too bad she hardly has any solo lines in any of the C-ute singles, the most she has is in "Massara Blue Jeans!" However, I have to say that she just owned the opening line of that song, haha. It's always so much fun to see her in concerts too, and I'm glad she's getting more used to performing on stage. And Hooray for the Maki-ears! It's an instant winner in my book.

I wouldn't say she's a HPK persay. It's more like she's a member of C-ute and former member of the Eggs, so if I mention the HPK, it's always HPK + Kanna since she was never a HPK!

Well basically, HPK exists no longer as far as I'm concerned...
To me Kanna's a member of C-ute. To me there's Berryz, C-ute, and Eggs, no HPK... And I guess even if there were, I'd count Kanna along with them, just like Yui is a member of Viyuden and not some weird category of her own. Kanna's debuted officially, she's not an outsider anymore.
I feel like I said this all in such a complicated way...

I love how her confidence just seems to be growing. Slowly, but surely. I don't doubt that within no time she'll be pwning us all non-stop in concerts, videos and more. I love how her smile seems so nervous though sometimes, haha. It's pretty cute, actually! And yellow definitely suits her, she should wear it more.

Within the last month, Kanna seems to have really become a part of the group. At least at first, I kinda thought some of the girls weren't as... nice (?) to her when she joined them. Kinda like when 2nd gen. MM joined... She's a hyper ball of energy, so it's really nice how she can have her personality shine through more without it being shadowed by the older girls. I technically think that just her stage presence (probably from being an egg?) shown through even without knowing her personality! She kinda reminds me of Goto Yuki (the egg). She's just really likable, but I guess one reason is being because she's adorable whereas Yuki has more of a... next-door-neighbor look.

She's just so cute. The screencaps of her made me want to DL Hello ga ippai with her and Maimi, but too bad it was so boring I couldn't even finish watching it HAHA... But she was really cute though, and seemed more talkative than Maimi.
It's too bad that initially after she joined, I noticed she seemed like a really good dancer, but recently there haven't been many instances to really notice her dancing since she's never in the front. :/

It's funny how Kanna still looks 'more raw' to me than the other C-ute girls, probably because she started later than them. Like sometimes her face still looks new to me. Funny, eh! But it's a good thing cuz it means I won't get bored of her any time soon :P

I just wanted to dedicate my 200th post to Kanna Arihara. I mean what can I say, I love her, she's my fave in C-ute. I agree that her voice isnt the best, but her dance moves are incredible.

My initial thought was "They kept Miyabi, so she should be fine as well", but then again, Miyabi is extremely popular - so I can kind of understand UFA just letting it slide, not saying anything about it.
But with C-ute, Kanna isn't exactly a 'front member' or anything, so I'm a little worried. But as someone pointed out, people are growing more accepting of the (natural) idea of these girls hanging out with or dating guys, so that's good. It's nice to see Kanna enjoying herself :) (Even though I was convinced she was completely in love with Maimi, haha)

Did any of y'all hear? In the latest C-ute handshake event, most of the wota ignored Kanna when they got down to her in the actual handshaking. Kanna was bewildered (but tried to keep smiling) at the behavior, and started to cry ;_____;

I read about this on the mixi blog of a Kanna wota who went to the handshake event in Osaka (where this happened). He was upset that some doinks had caused her to cry, but said it was supposedly because someone had insulted her (nothing about anyone ignoring her at the handshake part). However, other commenters who went to the same event said that nothing like that happened at all, and that Kanna was crying tears of joy because of the fans who cheered her on.

I'll post a comment to him later asking if the rumor from santos about wota ignoring her is true or not (and if it's true, how many ignored her). One commenter named 大☆橋 said that from what he could see there were quite a lot of people cheering and saying "Ganbare!". Though I don't know this for sure, at least until audio from the event comes out.

The rumor seems to have originated from 2ch, and the original 2ch post passed off a video from an early 2007 handshake event as being footage from the current handshake event.
When it comes to 2ch posts it's generally best to not take them all seriously, because many people make up or embellish stories there (though there are true stories as well).

The original 2ch thread written about by santos said that this happened at a handshake event on the 6th, but according to the official H!P page (http://www.helloproject.com/schedule/01/04/list_02/list-cute.html) there were no handshake events on the 6th! They were all held on the 4th.
Also, they do not tell us which city's handshake event it was. Real fan reports of idol handshake events usually give the location...

Good, cuz yesterday, I went on intlwota.com and read it on a blog. just reading it, I got upset of how she's been treated, and I'm not even a big fan of Kanna. I like her with, all of C-ute, but I don't really pay much attention to her, or C-ute, for that matter, except for Maimi, (who is awesome).
I'm not really interested in C-ute, but they do have some good songs that I listen to occasionally and that they are "c-ute." Overall I like them, but not in the level of MoMusu or Yossy, at least not yet.
Even so, reading that mad me so mad at the wotas that treated her that way. She shouldn't be treated that way. Even though I don't like the idea of them dating so young (or the Johnny's, though I don't think I hate them, probably jealous, maybe...), still I don't think she deserve that kind of treatment. She shouldn't be condemn of something like that, It's not like she did something really bad and inappropiate, like drugs.

I'm also glad that the situation was not as bad as it seemed from those blogs/2ch and that there were people cheering for her at the event. I would probably have been moved to tears, too. ;) There's always going to be doinks out there who claim to be fans, but from my own experiences with Kanna wotas (albeit online, reading their posts on mixi), the majority of them support Kanna even if they didn't like that she broke a rule. And they were just as worried when they heard about her crying as we were. The original mixi post that I screencapped above had some pretty strong words for anyone who would make Kanna cry.

If you're wondering why I'm posting this in the Kanna thread, it's because their strange design got me thinking, "Why the heck would Tsunku decide to make this kind of health sock?". Other than the utter random nature of Tsunku's decisions, I couldn't help but think that maybe this had something to do with Kanna's bunion problems. It certainly seems like this type of sock could help with or prevent any foot ligament problems that lead to bunions.

My Kanna story: My favorite was always Berryz, but when I started to learn about C-ute and the most skin/yuriship member in it stood out, I could not help but follow her. At first she was just a pretty girl, so she became my favorite but still I was not that interested, but then when i noticed she made quite some advances to members (mostly Maimi, but she always escaped), she became the TOP TOP favorite kids member.
Favourite thing(s) about Kanna: Front teeth, ears, yuri friendly.
Favourite H!P group with Kanna: °C
A memorable performance: Sweets. I loved that she had a significant role in a song. I was very proud when I saw her perform Sweets→→→Live (スイーーツ→→→ライブ) by Kanna Arihara and Chisato Okai HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDwDGqsbhsY#ws)

Here's what the story says:
Nagisa Aomi, a high-school girl, is a bright and sporty student, serving as president of the student body. She is capable of taking actions but weak in mechanical matters. Nagisa's pal, Sayaka Yamabuki, is a filly and puts up a good fight in quite a contrast to Nagisa in character. She has gotten along well with Nagisa and they have been close friends since their childhood. Sayaka, somewhat wayward with bad manners, is high-tech oriented, handles PC with ease and is good at hacking. In light of their past contribution to nabbing a culprit group and saving a dying detective in a case they accidentally got involved in, both Nagisa and Sayaka have been licensed to act as agents for the Special Investigation Squad, which is a rare event for current high-school girls. As such, they have been in charge of cases where students are involved and ordinary criminal investigations are difficult. One day, a high-school girl is found dead, killed. The police plans to follow the call thread and mails recorded in her cell phone. But, the data has totally been destroyed by a formidable spy-ware virus which has been rampant in eroding data from personal information to corporate secrets. The Special Investigation Squad suspects that the virus can be traced to the super popular DX deco-mail software as the infection source. But, the mail cannot be traced to a specific site, since it is spread widely in a chain-mail fashion. Ayumi Morishita, a senior investigator at the Special Investigation Squad, assigns Nagisa and Sayaka to spot the original virus deco-mail sender through their association with peer students. They succeed in contacting the person who holds the key to the case. But the man turns out to be a cousin of Nagisa, Kouta. Nagisa and Sayaka set out on a dangerous tour of investigation, with Kouta in tow who might act as a drag...
It's a bit hard to read it with constantly rolling eyes.
