Watarirouka Hashiritai Member’s Interview
Despite saying that this will be the last, we believe that something will definitely happen again.
—Firstly, let us hear about your memories of Watarirouka Hashiritai.
Urano: I only participated in a song once, but I loved the activities as Watarirouka Hashiritai. That’s why I’m really sad about the break up. But, I already took off my seifuku a long time ago (lol), the other members are passing 20, taking off their seifuku, so it’s time to have a new start.
Kikuchi: Watarirouka, to me, is a place that’s like family. When we’re together, I can be relieved, and the best memories are of when we got to do activities while enjoying ourselves. That’s why I’m happy that everyone gathered until the end.
Hirajima: The other derived units probably seem comparably quiet. But, Watarirouka is always really lively (lol) We fight and we have a relationship where we don’t hold back, so if AKB48 are our comrades, here we are sisters. That closeness is also loved by our fans, I think.
Nakagawa: During the formation, there were only a few derived units so I was glad to be given attention (lol). There were only a few of us so we were unified, and it was like we were just going to school meeting everyone and talking, which was really fun.
Iwasa: I participated halfway, but I was able to relax because we were in the same generation, and we experienced a lot of things like having cute songs and cute costumes so I’m really glad. Indeed, an idol unit! I was happy to do those activities with a small number of people.
Watanabe: Watarirouka has really good comfort; it is a group where we can be ourselves. Also, I was able to stand in the center and it included a lot of things like the members changing (lol). It was a place where we grew a lot.
Ota: Even though we were young, there were a lot of stories, and the contents were deep (lol). But, sometimes we had experiences that we couldn’t do, and we always had fun activities so those are memories of my youth!
—Speaking of various things that happened, it’s Nacchan (lol), were you glad to participate in Watarirouka Hashiritai in the end?
Hirajima: Yes! Even when I was off from activities, I watched Watarirouka on TV, and I would support them from the convenience store where I would check out the magazines there were on, that’s how much I love the unit (lol). Besides, we always kept in contact!
Urano: That’s right. Even when we didn’t meet, we talked through LINE almost every day. Actually, for today’s photoshoot, I said “Please treat me well” on LINE.

Iwasa: Even during the time Watarirouka doesn’t have any works, I still met Harugon and Ai-chan when they came back from Jakarta and Hakata. Somehow, I feel like we are classmates.
Ota: It’s been a very long time all members gather together like this, but seems like everyone doesn’t change. But I think I’ve become an adult. Though I’m saying this myself (laugh).
Kikuchi: Really (laugh)? But when these members gather, it always become very noisy eventually, right (laugh)?
Nakagawa: That’s why these members are interesting! I think we are so cool being able to create such an atmosphere all the time.
Watanabe: Indeed. Right after everyone is gathered, the atmosphere turns back like before. I think our relationship is very good, and I’m sure that it’ll still be the same even after Watarirouka is gone.
ーThen, lastly, please give your message to the fans.
Urano: When I joined Watarirouka, the fans welcomed me very warmly, and that really supported me when I was doing works. I’m very grateful that I’m treated as a member of Watarirouka, as a family.
Kikuchi: For me, I’m hoping that my beloved Watarirouka will revive some years later! At that time, I’d like to sing cool or mature songs. That’s why, please don’t forget us until that time comes!
Iwasa: Me too. Despite saying that this will be the last time, I believe that something will happen again. Also, songs will still be there, so even when we are disbanded, I still want to sing them all the time.
Hirajima: If everyone continues to love Watarirouka, I think someday we will be able to get together again. That’s why, even after we are disbanded, please continue to love us!
Ota: At HKT handshake events, fans said to me “I know you thanks to Watarirouka”, so after this unit is gone, I think there are still fans whom I haven’t met yet. Everyone has been supporting us all the time, so I’m very grateful. Thank you so much!
Nakagawa: Disbandment is a very sad thing, but I want everyone from now on to look forward to seeing us who will be different from now, at different places. I’m still doing my best at JKT!
Watanabe: This group has been able to grow this far, all thanks to the fans. Even after the disbandment, members will still work in different fields, so please watch over each member and don’t forget Watarirouka!

Watarirouka Hashiritai reveals jacket covers + track list for best-of album
AKB48 sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai, who recently announced its disbandment, has revealed the jacket covers for the best-of album that will be released on December 25th.
Members Watanabe Mayu, Nakagawa Haruka, Ota Aika, and Hirajima Natsumi formed Watarirouka Hashirita back in 2008 with the concept "school life". Since then, there have been additions as well as withdrawals of members. Currently, the group is comprised of the four original members, Iwasa Misaki, Kikuchi Ayaka, and Urano Kazumi.
The motif of the jacket covers relates to the group's debut single "Hatsukoi Dash / Moi Mirai" (released January 2009). While the jacket cover for their debut single featured the members at the starting line, the best-of album features them making their goal.
The title of the album hasn't been decided yet, but it will be released in two different versions. The complete edition will be a 3 CD and 2 DVD set including all songs and PVs that the group has released thus far.
It was previously reported that they would disband on Christmas day, but there is no official information regarding the actual date.

Watarirouka Hashiritai will officially disband on Feb 9th 2014
Previously we reported that they were going to disband by Christmas. It was revealed today that they will actually hold their final concert on Feb 9th, 2014 at Zepp Diver City in Odaiba.
The “Super Complete” edition of their best-of album (which comes out on 12/25) will contain a coupon, which can be used to enter the lottery and possibly win one of the 2000 tickets to this concert.

Watarirouka Hashiritai Girls Talk after a long time
When these four get together…

Watarirouka Hashiritai will release their best album at the end of the year. This month, Harugon comes back from Jakarta and Lovetan from Hakata, and so these four appear again after a long time!
Ota: It’s been a long time us 4 have a photo-shoot together!
Watanabe: But when everyone gets together, it gets too exciting that it doesn’t feel like it’s been a long time (laugh). Harugon, how’s Jakarta (JKT48)? Are you busy there?
Nakagawa: We perform around lots of cities in Indonesia, it’s very interesting!
Watanabe: Are they different from Japan’s live houses?
Nakagawa: There are lots of places that aren’t used for live. For example, there’s a stage made at a wedding hall, and there’s a chandelier above.
Kikuchi: I want to go and see Harugon’s performance.
Nakagawa: I’d love you to come! How’s Hakata (HKT48)?
Ota: It’s fulfilling and fun every day. People are kind, and the city is very comfortable to live.
Nakagawa: I want to go there! I want to eat motsunabe!
Kikuchi: Ramen, too ♥
Ota: I know a shop that has very delicious ramen, so I’d like to take you there next time!
Nakagawa: There’s also ramen in Jakarta. There’s a kind of soup called “Passo” that has meat balls and vegetables in it, it’s very delicious. I think everyone will love it.
Watanabe: Sounds delicious~! I want to try it.
Nakagawa: And then we eat avocado as dessert. We put it together with chocolate into a mixer and make a juice out of them, and we drink it.
All: Eh~!! Is it delicious?
Nakagawa: Everyone all says that it’s delicious. When I said “In Japan, we put soy sauce over it then eat”, everyone was very surprised.
Kikuchi: There’re so many ways to eat it.
Ota: How’s team A like?
Watanabe, Kikuchi: A VERY GOOD TEAM!
Kikuchi: There’re lots of young girls and it’s very lively.
Watanabe: Everyone is getting friendlier, they are cute. Relationships between members are also good, and the team has a good balance.
Kikuchi: Yeah, (Yokoyama) Yui is also doing her best being a captain.
Watanabe: There aren’t any chances for all members of Watarirouka to get together recently, but everyone is living to their fullest everyday so I’m happy.
Ota: Though it’s impossible now, but someday I want to go oversea together with everyone~. Maybe Shanghai or Taiwan…
Watanabe: Hongkong also sounds good!
Kikuchi: Xiaolongbao (or Shoronpo) is very delicious.
All: We want to eat that! We want to have a gourmet tour!
Nakagawa: Please come to Jakarta as well. There’re also lots of amusement parks. Though there will be no belts when you ride the water coaster, you have to hold it by yourself (laugh).
All: EH-!!
Watanabe: Sounds fun but scary~.
Nakagawa: And there’s Ferris wheel in high speed. When I asked local people, they said that “Ferris wheel is not something you ride on to look at the landscape”. It’s like an attraction? Not to mention that it’s not machinery, you have to turn it by hand!
All: REALLY!?
Ota: Please record it into a video and send us next time♪no, try to ride on it!
Nakagawa: Eh~, it’s too scary so no (laugh).
Watanabe: Is there anything else that made you surprised?
Nakagawa: There are lots of people dating using motorbikes in Jakarta. You can usually see couples who stop their bikes en route and then they will sit on the roadside being lovey-dovey!
All: Really!?
Ota: Dates, huh~. If I were to have a Christmas date, I’d like to have a walk around watching illuminations, and after that I’d say “It’s so cold” and both of us will go to the supermarket together. We would buy ingredients for nabe (hotpot) there, then go home and eat it while snuggling in the kotatsu. That’d be the best.
Kikuchi: Sounds good~!
Watanabe: Holding the supermarket bag together feels like youth (laugh).
Kikuchi: I’d like to have a delicious dinner together, and then spend time at a place where you can see the stars clearly.
Nakagawa: I also want to go downtown where Christmas songs are played. But we would get tired if it was crowded, so a place where there aren’t many people would be good!
Watanabe: I also want to have a walk together. I’ll get excited whenever I watch illuminations, I love Christmas!
Nakagawa: I want to have a Christmas party together with everyone. Do you want to decorate for Christmas together?
Ota: Eh? Curry noodles? (Kare tsuke men – Lovetan misheard)
Nakagawa: Decorating (Kazari tsuke)!! Or baking cakes…
Watanabe: I also want to exchange presents~.
Ota: Let’s do it at my house!
All: We’d love to go!!
Kikuchi: But whenever we say we want to do something, we will never do it in reality though (laugh).
Watanabe: Christmas this year is the release date of our album, right!?
All: That’s right! We look forward to it!!
Watanabe: It’s an album filled with lots of our feelings, so I’d be happy if lots of people hear it.

浦野「AKBからSDNにうつって、渡り廊下で3回目の卒業なんですけど、みんなと一緒にいると楽しくて、秋元先生に感謝かなって。アイドルは最後かもしれないけど、芸能界にはいるんで一緒に歩んでくれたら嬉しいです。渡り廊下が大好きで大好きです」(中略あり)
平嶋「4人から始まって悩んだことあったけど、喧嘩もしたけどその分仲良くなった。アルバムにも解散コンサートにも参加させて頂いて嬉しいです(泣)感謝の気持ちは表せない位いっぱいです。ありがとうございました」(中略)

渡辺「私はグループの解散は始めてなので凄い悲しくて…シンディーはデビュー当時から…うぇぇん…未熟な私達を育ててくれて、そのお陰で今の私がいるんだなと…私が私らしくいれる場所だし…最高なグループでした。悲しい解散ではなくメンバーそれぞれが夢に向かって頑張っていくのでそれぞれ応援して下さい。今まで本当にありがとうございました！」
