These are what I use:

- Firefox -

Adblock Plus
better facebook! - various options to hide annoying facebook "features"
http://noscript.net/ - block javascript, java and various other plugins on page. you need to enable the script you want manually. This will break most pages by default, so if something broken when you installed this, checks what it's blocked.
refcontrol - to get around the imageshack domain not registered msg
WebMail Notifier
BetterPrivacy - BetterPrivacy is a safeguard which protects from usually not deletable LSO's on Google, YouTube, Ebay...

- Google Chrome -

Adblock Plus
All Mangas Reader - for reading mangas, of course
Disconnect - Stop third parties and search engines from tracking the webpages you go to and searches you do.
Ghostery - Protect your privacy. See who's tracking your web browsing with Ghostery
Open _new & _blank in new background tab - Force links that have _new or _blank in their target to open in a new background tab.
reddit enhancement suite - urmm, it's for reddit. go figure it out :P
Wikipedia stare fix - Hides Jimmy's annoying stare.

p/s: I open fb on firefox, daily websites on google chrome. Yes, I'm a paranoid android :3

Opera has extensions too!

I use:
Autocompleter
YT downloader
GMail Notifier

You can get more here: https://addons.opera.com/en/addons/extensions/

Opera already has the best tab management, speed dial, proper context menu search, and most customizable UI :cokecat:

Really, everyone should use Adblock Plus. All good, no downside whatsoever.
Which is more than I can say for my other extension, NoScript. Good and make it safer to browse the web but pretty damn user unfriendly.

I've been really impressed by Ghostery in Firefox for managing all the tracking shit in websites and making me aware of it.

One of the few things that I don't like about FF is how it does not have/leave placeholders for broken and/or expired pics. It's like, if I post or if I am looking at some pics on a forum, I'd like to be able to know if/when I'm missing something that I should normally be seeing. With that being said, I did a search and now I've found and added something called FeatureFix onto my FF. The neat thing about this add-on is that it allows the user to easily and quickly change/customize quite a few different things on their browser, not just the broken image placeholder that I was looking for.

Here's what the description of the add-on says on it's "FF add-ons" page:

Quote
About this Add-on

FeatureFix provides numerous abilities to customize the Firefox user interface, as well as enhancements and handy features for developers and power users. These features include:

    Popup ALT attributes
    View source button and customization
    Working online/offline button
    Easy disable/enable caching
    Tab behaviour configuration
    Many other minor tweaks

For more information on features, please see:
http://ffaddons.game-point.net/ffix/index.php#features
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/featurefix

I use Chrome at work, and my days would be a lot duller without the Secure Shell app.
It's basically a terminal emulator and SSH client, which means I can connect to IRC from work 8D I love it.

For google chrome user, if you can't find the extension you want from google webstore, you can find greasemonkey scripts from https://userscripts.org/. To install the script, just download *.js file and drag it into the your chrome://extensions/ page. No need to install greasemonkey extension like Firefox user. For example, youtube download script https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/62634 will be a neat add-on for integrating download button at youtube's page.
