Thurdsay 2013/08/15, was my last day in Japan. My GF and I took a boat cruise up the Sumida River from Asakusa to Odaiba. We got lunch in sight of Fuji TV HQ and I notice a lot of people around there and booths set up etc... so we decided to go over and see what was going on. As we got close, I heard some familiar music and then suddenly...

And i'm kinda proud that the news article featured our girls almost exclusively

If i want something to feel good of, i would think that out of Idoling's 25 members, they actually get 4 girls through the next round.
Compare that to the 200+ of the 48 groups and they only could get one girl to the next round

What makes me worry is her age already 18

(same age with Maipuru when she joined)

Next week they are going to make a big announcement regarding why the 6th gen are called "New Members". There's a lot of opinion and speculation on the net and here are a few that I think are interesting.

1) There is going to be an old Idoling!!! and a new Idoling!!!.
2) More new members are going to be added to the group to complete the 6th gen.
3) To eliminate the senior-junior relationship in the group so that the juniors don't get overshadowed by the senior members.
4) Idoling!!! is going to be broken into multiple groups (kinda like AKB's team A,K and B).
5) The new members are actually 7th gen

I'm kinda hoping for 2) but it's probably going to be 3)

But i think this suppose to be new "strategy" from the new producer. Maybe we'll see something new, just like you said. And one more thing that keep bothering me is that more and more members joing 20+ club (i mean more adult member), hope that "something bad" will not happen soon

If we compare to the others Idol group lately, in AKB more and more "senior" member graduate (you name it) and new-young member announced, in Morning Musume, only Sayumi left (the others are same age as Idoling 4th-5th gen), not to mention Momoclo (all young member), same does as their Direct Rival Super Girls (only a few 20+ member) and passpo. I hope something big next will be a good news

I'm not against splitting them up for performances or one shot releases, etc. but I don't really get why they grouped Yuna in with the new girls

Aw well, just another day in the idol roller-coaster, should be fun, let's see what they'll come up with!

Btw, I would have gone with Neo-Idoling!!! rather than IdolingNeo

So the reason the new members are not being called 6ki is because they are IdolingNeo?

They already mentioned that the next generation will be the 7ki. Doesn't that mean the 6ki are indeed 6ki anyways?

Anyways, this kind of 'stunt' are always welcomed, they should do this kind of thing more often, for publicity and novelty reasons.
I think that's one thing that the 48 groups are really excell at.
