It seems that two Sensei at the Sports Institute
had similar problems....
First the Kyudo / 弓道 Sensei mentioned a student that he recently
Was in charge of....."she was dilligent, prepared, but somehow when
I had to correct her form, I would get distracted. The semester
ended, and she told me she was enrolling into a new discipline,
but she thanked me very properly and politely.
Then the Judo / 柔道 Sensei sighed, and said yes, I had a student such
as yours, a wonderful girl, small, but powerful. Full of good spirit she was....
but somehow, when it came to instruct her on grappling, I too became distracted,
and was unable to do my best as her instructor...I hope she has
found her place in the world ....
And then the masseuse walked into the break room.
"Oh, Suzuki san!" called out the Judo Instuctor to the Masseuse, "join us for tea"
"How are your new students?"
The Masseuse answered "I am very pleased with my new student, and apparently
she says she has studied martial arts before, but she came to me and said that she wanted to
learn a healing art"
The Massuese continued, " I told her are you sure my dear? I am an old blind masseuse and I hardly can compare
to the great teachers here at the institute. I heard her lovely laugh, and she said to me that
she knew I would be a fine instructor! What a delightful young woman!"
