Athena Chu attended the The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts from 1990 to 1992, during which time she hosted children's shows on Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), a Hong Kong television station. After graduating in 1992, she began to appear in films, and dated Hong Kong actor Stephen Chow for several years, co-starring with him in A Chinese Odyssey. Her roles with Chow kick-started her film career, and she is considered one of the Sing girls. Later, she moved on to work on Hong Kong TVB dramas.

Chinese romance film "Legend of the Aroma City 芳香之城传奇" ("Fang Xiang Zhi Cheng Chuan Qi") will be shown in cinemas next Thursday, February 3, 2011.

Su Lingfang is a beautiful fairy-like girl living in a small village. Although she cannot speak a word, she hums the most wonderful melodies and her body gives off a pleasant aroma.
