Here's a tip if you're playing against trash talkers. Be polite. If someone calls you a camper (when you're not and you know that he knows you're not as you keep killing him in different areas of the map) then just say 'Good game'. If someone calls you something like, I dunno, an Irish heterosexual who has sex with his mother, just say you're sorry you feel that way if you feel like you should reply to it at all. From my experience this morning, it confuses the hell out of them, and they have no response other than to keep repeating the same taunt over and over and over again, showing them up as the attention whores they are. Ideally, you then go onto beat them in the following Team Deathmatch and they leave the lobby afterwards, if not during mid-game. Simples. I love try-hards, so easy to wind up.

Played Metroid Primer earlier where I reached the Phendrana Drifts. Reminded me of my first playthrough and getting to this area for the first time, looking out at the frozen wasteland, a new area to explore and the first few piano notes of the background music started playing, a song that I heard for the first time, yet felt like I'd known it forever. A gentle, soothing song in stark contrast to the almost tribal, thumping song of the Magmoor Caverns. And as I was surveying the landscape, I looked outside to see snow also falling outside my house. It was perfect and I still felt the tingle of excitement today as I did all those years ago.

If it's any consolation, trial and error is just part and parcel of Mirror's Edge. And I went through the game first time round with runner vision switched off!

I got stuck on that last jump too, it was quite infuriating. I couldn't stop playing, though, game is so good

^ oh gawd, I died a gazillion times trying that jump
apart from one other situation in the game, this was the one that I died the most!
if there was a achievement/trophy for number of deaths in this game, I surely would have gotten it

I never played a game where I died so many times, over and over again and again and again, but still kept playing!

It's gotten awfully quiet about ME 2, hope they're still working on it.

I was definately the same coachie! And like I said I had runner vision off!

Also I forgot to reply to you earlier about the RDR promo! I was wondering myself and I haven't heard anyone say they have theirs yet. But apparently the emails with the codes are sent 4-6 weeks after the promo ends. Not sure when that was exactly, but I'd say they're definately approaching soon.

They're probably too busy working on all their Battlefield games, to work on a cool game like Mirror's Edge 2

I think it ended May 11th... or was that the start? Can't remember... but it shouldn't be too long then.
Not that I'm especially eager to get a Rockstar theme or something, just curious
