Personally, I didn't think that was too sad. But then again, I am the person with issues at telling the tone of a story.
That was interesting though. I thought there was going to be massive, screaming waterworks, but it was quite calm and controlled. And that's what made it so serious. I haven't taken a story so seriously in a while.

Anyways, I wrote this due to the recent spazz over the new 1/48 game and ‘cause of Takamina’s recent visit to Singapore. This was just a scenario of what she could possibly be doing during downtime away from her wifey ;D

Oh man, I had to read this a second time to let the story fully sink in. I was confused at first and then... WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO MAYUYU?? And now Yukirin got to live without her beloved cyborg! T_T
Just go and join Mayuyu already! I can't stand the thought of these two being apart like this :(
Ok, that aside *still tryin to get over the heartbreak*, I did a double take when I saw the title. "I don't remember you writing Lips of an Angel!" went through my head. Luckily you explained in the A/N. Heh.
Anyway, it's a well-written piece as always. Good job at misleading me right till the end. I feel the pain that Yuki is going through. It's also saddening to see the usually happy group all gloomy and worried sick.
Yuki mentioned bandages on Mayu's head. Makes me wonder what method she chose to go out in. And on a lighter note, I think Rabutan will slap Mayu silly on the other side for taking her along! Rabutan is not one to go down so easily :lol:
Thanks for writing this but gosh, I need to re-read River's MaYuki update to cheer myself up.

YES!!! EMO STORY!!!!
Somehow when I started to read the story, I had the feeling something didn't add up and had a feeling that Mayu
is dead and sure enough she died by suicide but I don't understand why she took Rubutan with her.
Story wise, love it! Very well written, the flow is good at first its like Yuki is really talking to Mayu but then the
way Sae acted it didn't make sense and doesn't add up, once Sae made her way down the stairs it was obvious
there is a problem with Yuki.
I guess the pressure on Mayu is too great for her to handle, that she decided to leave it all behind, including
Yuki, and that is what shocked her into this hallucination every night along with the hollow feeling of not having
Mayu there with her. Maybe if Mayu went to Yuki instead, things would be better. Every night at 11pm.. I wonder
if that is the time Mayu left or is there any significant to the time other then it repeats every night.
At least I can see the other girls trying their best to save Yuki but I don't think it will work.... maybe it would be better
for Yuki to go find Mayu so they can be together again.

i just can't just click the "thank you" button saying nothing.
First of all, i thought the story was going to be cheesy stuff one, yet....it was not, that made me really surprised, you damn awesome genius writer. the idea mayu being dead never crossed my mind. i agree with immortal_K, i didn't understand the part she took rabutan with her. :nervous
seriously when i finally knew that mayu was dead it gave me goose bumps. yuki was just hallucinating things every night. i can't take it ;_______; yukirin :cry: and the part that sae said "yukirin did it again." :cry: :cry:

Poor Yuki, living now it seems in a world without Mayuyu :cry: Why did Mayu have to end her life by suicide, so sad!!! :cry: Yuki is obviously taking it badly but it seems at least she has her friends round her, though maybe they can do nothing for her........ perhpas more than anything they are there to stop her incase she decides to 'join' Mayuyu more than anything else....
Sae seems perhpas to be taking it badly to, perhaps because of her cloness to Yuki, mabye a closeness that, because of Mayuyu, Sae did not want to take to the level that maybe she wanted to with Yuki, a love that Sae has to keep hidden and im this situation that perhaps makes it even less likely than when Mayuyu was alive all Sae can do is be there, which is perhpas the hardest thing of all.....
And what of these phone calls? A way for Yukirin to deal with her grief? A sign that she may be loosing her mind, or maybe, just maybe perhpas she is talking to Mayuyu.....
Even though it's sad, I'm looking forward to more of this story!

Of all places, she dragged Acchan into a love hotel in front of fans!
Yukirin wasn't any better. She actually thought she could get away with that over-the-top disguise from Bimyo~! At least do away with that fake moustache when she was wearing a dress! No wonder Mayuyu made a comment about AKB Captains.
Anyway, I love all the little interactions between MaYuki from Mayuyu tracing Yukirin's arms to the two of them tidying each other's hair to Mayuyu drinking from Yukirin's mug. So aww... And a jealous Yukirin is the best! :heart: The MaYuki fan in me is having a field day! This lighthearted story really makes up for the previous depressing update! Not that it was bad of course, just that I felt my heart die a little when MaYuki had to suffer so horribly.

Hey! Sorry for not reviewing recently. Been caught up with a mountain of assignments lately but that doesn't mean I'm not following your posts!
I've already voted in the poll and I want to say this after reading your tumblr post: I love your stories, writing style, humour and characterisations and you probably know that I do not want you to stop writing. It's perfectly fine to feel a loss of motivation and there is nothing wrong with being on hiatus. It happens to lots of writers. Perhaps you need a break to refresh your mind and receive inspiration from elsewhere. However, I don't see a need for you to officially stop writing altogether. I say don't limit your choices by making such "official decision".
Consider your priorities/interests again. Whenever you decide to write again, you can be sure I'll be waiting with open arms :)

Okay so I voted and well if you feel like you need to take a break from writing then that's understandable, don't need to wear yourself down beating the dead horse now.
What I like about your writing is how you flow your words and it help paints an image quite easily; your plots, from the angst, fluff and humor, I love it and the way you build up the story and the characterization (a lot of the time it's actually the way I perceive the girls).
But if you want to stop then go ahead and take a break but as long as I have been reading fanfics, it's a little sad to see another good writer go off the radar. ;_; Though as long as you don't completely disappear.

Omg I think I need to stop going MiA from here, finally found time to start reading and I see this message but I also understand there are times when things just doesn't work while life gets in the way and inspiration happens to be at a new low with no ideas or anything of what to do with your works.
I actually recommend occasional hiatus as needed, just a bit of time for yourself to think and regather your thoughts, I really like your works but if the price for it is having you bang your head on walls and killing excessive brain cells and overloading yourself with unnecessary stress then I rather not see updates every Sathday, just when you can.
Remember they always teach us to take breaks no matter what you are working on because our bodies are not made to keep running forever, even machines need to go on standby every once in a while :)
Now getting back on track to actually answer your question, I really like the way you write, they way your words flow into pacing the story, the words you choose for describing the stories make everything very easily piece together and visualize. I feel the way you put a lot of thought into developing your characters and the plots, you don't concentrate on only one aspects but put a bit of everything into them. There will always be the much needed humor but never too much because next we know there will be a tug of cheesy line that somehow ties in with a lot of action then a few hints of angst that gets us all worried about the characters and praying for the next update. While my brain is actually thinking, I really like the plot you gave RIVER as well.

So you ask, what do I like about your writing?
Well, I can in all honesty say, everything listed on that poll (aside for the "nothing") option obviously. And no, I swear in the name of thetrollmonsterwehaveyettoname that I'm not sugar coating this. Fact of the matter is, you are one of my favourite and most respected writers in this fandom. From the moment I read RIVER, I knew I'd be hooked. I had yet another fic to eagerly anticipate the next update and dread everytime I knew a chapter was coming to a close. Not only are your stories riddled with a good balance of drama and humour, but as a couple people have mentioned already, your stories are woven in such a way that the flow just seems so natural and we, as readers, experience no confusion or headaches in deciphering your plot. As with any good writer out there, in due part to your excellent characterization and portrayal of your characters, it was very easy to actually picturing the respective AKB members doing the things that you have written. Honestly if you had never told me you were a fairly new fan, I never would have guessed. You just get their dynamics so well.
It is without a doubt, all your stories, whether long or short were enjoyable rides –ones that I would have no qualms in experiencing over and over again- :)
Your lack of motivation, although unfortunate, is a normal experience any writer would go through (I mean look at me! One short fic after a 3 year hiatus and I’m gone again >.>) so really, I’m just glad that you decided against making your decision put down your pen forever on halt. I mean, if you ever do decide to go down that route, I would of course respect your decision, but it would be a truly sorry loss indeed. ;_;
I guess for now, I still want to say thank you to you. Thank you for your drama/fluff/crack/angst filled contributions to this community and thank you for making my Sathdays (and periodic Somedays) a little brighter with your fics. And if the inspiration bug ever decides to come visit you sometime, I greatly look forward to being able to enjoy a whole new ride :)

I've been reflecting on your post and poll since two days ago, but just found the proper time to comment. Hopefully this won't be stale.
So I've filled the poll two days ago...
The upper comments have already described it very detail, so maybe not that much to say from me. But I'd like to point out this again: flow of events. Almost everytime I read your writings, I felt the flow moves so naturally, thanks to your choice of words that seemed to spurt out so effortlessly. Personally, I feel this is your strongest point. FYI, I didn't check the 4 first options in your poll because I believe that if a plot is executed properly, all the angst/humor/romance/action will follow by itself (depends on how the writer wants his/her story to be). Well, this is what you've done.
However, this is what I also feel, that strongest point works better when applied in multichaptered fics like RIVER. When it comes to oneshots like in this thread, the flow you've set in those stories just seemed not as natural (rushed?) in my opinion. This 'unnatural' feeling of mine peaked when I read Disguises, Danso, and Love Hotels, thankfully Yokaze no Shiwaza could redeem it a bit. Still, I understand writing oneshots isn't easy. But there's always this wise saying.. practice makes perfect (and that's obviously what I'm doing too in my own thread).
So, you left out the 'break' option? Really... yokatta~ and arigatou~ :D
Hope you always get comfortable writing, no matter at what pace you choose... and yeah, I'm looking forward to this Sathday :D :peace:

The whole time I was reading this, it felt like Yuko is already dead, or in veggie state, or something along those lines (but she turned out to be fine and living, though I cant be too sure about that). Warning signals popped up all over my head and it was screaming 'BAD END BAD END' since the first paragraph. Hey, 8am isn't all that early imo, so there must be something wrong. Also that moment when Kojima's co-worker asked about Yuko and there was a break in her dialogue with an ellipsis, darn!
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm keeping my guard up for this one.

So many different KojiYuu moments, that all connects together. I'll be looking forward to reading
Chapter 2. As usual there is no problem with the writing aspect of it, totally love the way you
write and I'm sure you are aware since I think I say that every time. Majidayo! LOL
It seem's like Haruna is a very busy designer and has very little time for Yuko, I'm sure it
will eventually cause a riff in their relationship but I hope it would just be something minor. The
way that Haruna replied Akane, there just seems to be something off about it.
Hmm Sayaka as a traffic police? in leather and travels around on motorcycle with Sae maybe HAHA
that would look pretty cool for both of them. I also wonder who is that girl that just walked out of the
elevator while texting, wonder if she is anyone significant.
The way you added time to it, made it feel like the scenes are playing straight out of a diary but in
moving visuals with dialogues instead of just a one POV diary entry. The last time I heard something
with the title "in Heaven" the results ended up with one of the lead dead by car accident.... I hope this
won't be the case but I don't mind some heart wrenching scenes and endings either. I think it makes
a story more interesting when things goes unexpected and unpredictable.

YAY Another update =D, initially saw this first on tumblr under your new name and I almost... just almost
didn't know it was you but the title of your fanfic gave you away keke.
Hmmm what can I say about this chapter other then it is triggering red lights all over signalling danger ahead,
please proceed with cautions. LOL Sigh Haruna is really working too hard, I know she is trying to do her
best with her career but it really shouldn't be on the expense of your love ones. I personally know a couple
that think they can just make up for neglecting their other half and make it up later but seriously its not the
same. It really hurts and I get really annoyed at them, but people are people, always a tint of selfishness and
tend to forget about everything else or get blinded by success?
I'm surprised by Yuko determination and dedication to Haruna even if all she get is "I'm trying" and "I'll let you know as soon as I can"
or "I'm not sure". 3 weeks since their last date and having Haruna always be late and on her phone all the time....
Sigh Yuko..... you really shouldn't treat yourself like this, Haruna didn't even spare a glance at the cake you left

From your last line, I bet its something related to work that will totally break the two apart and Yuko will be the

It's so sad, you killed Yuko!
At first it was all about Haruna being too busy, but I guess we finally found the reason why Yuko stayed with Haruna and always
encourage her to concentrate on work. Yuko even went as far as pushing Haruna away for another business trip just so Haruna
can be successful. She knew she didn't have much time left, so she did the next best thing she can and be supportive so Haruna
will be able to make it to the top...
But I'm not sure if I agree with that kind of thinking, because in the end Yuko left and they were never able to spend any quality
time together. It was like most of Yuko's life was wasted on waiting and making the best for Haruna but never for herself. She rather
spend all those days and nights alone and face her sickness alone....... The love Yuko have for Haruna is just that deep, that no
matter what happen Haruna comes first, but I still think that is selfish of her to keep it from Haruna.
Now that Yuko is gone what will Haruna thinking? All those time she neglected Yuko and the time they missed spending together.
The last time she seen Yuko was a couple weeks ago, it will make Haruna feel so much worst and guilty for always having Yuko
wait for her.... at least that's what I think......
But all in all, awesome story I like how you wrote this, the way it's separated in days like a log, almost as if we are looking through
a hidden camera that recorded their life for our curious eyes. It feels very realistic and true... because it reminds me of all
those sad life histories I encounter at work.

I'd like to think that you already know my feeling towards this fic by now, but here's an actual proper review since you deserve way more than that (questionable) spaz attack I sent yesterday lol.
But before we start on that, WHY YOU KILL MY FUTURE DADDY? :cry:
Haha all joking aside, what more can I say but beautifully done? As a lover of angst stories, I have read a multitude of angst filled fics in my life. Some, while undoubtedly sad, fail to make much impact on me whereas some would, as I eloquently put it yesterday: "MAKE ME FEEL FEELINGS"
In regards with your fic? Well I'm sure you know which category I've placed it in.
I'm not sure how you yourself view your own writing, but trust me when I say it is more than enough for us to establish a connection with the characters (which is of course a key component when it comes to angst). In the past, I've praised you on your excellent characterization and this time round, it is of no exception. Not only is it easy for me to visually see the events playing as I would watching a movie, but because of the connection that your writing has allowed me to have with both Haruna and Yuko, I felt that I could literally place myself in their shoes. My world stopped the same way Haruna's did when she received the phone call. My heart raced as hers did as she made her way to Yuko (actually,it's been racing the whole time since I, like many others, have speculated something like this happening due to the implications placed by the chosen title). And as Kojiharu watched Yuko -whose unwavering and unfailing love never failed to pull on my heartstrings- slip away, i found myself begging the same way she did for her to stay.
Oh and by the way, the uniqueness of the addition of the timeline noted during every event? Brilliant idea. It most definitely added to the anticipation and drama of this fic.
As always, I greatly look forward to and further plans you may have for this fic :)
As a little sidenote: I think it is suffice to say that should I ever make an attempt at writing an angst filled fic, this is definitely going to source of inspiration to turn to :)

AHHH! Yuko is alive! OMG!!! YAY that means there will be more to this!!! :bow: :bow:
In the first two entry it shows that Haruna has changed, her now clean room is a good sign and finally finding that red velvet box under her untouched clothes. It's too bad she found it too late, and it too late to regret because Yuko is already gone. It gives me the feeling that Haruna is only functioning like a robot, everything is routine like doing things without a drive. Her meeting with Mariko and her words “No one’s doing any work nowadays anyways,” Kojiharu murmured. I'm not sure if she has just lost interest in her work maybe she is really talking about herself. After a tiring meeting when nothing seem to be progressing, it feels so depressing to see people leaving the company with their belongings.
I don't know, the first daytime and noontime entry is so empty, just like how Haruna is without Yuko.
But my favorite is the night time entry, because that is where everything changed. I bet that shorty with the ribbon is Angel takamina that granted Haruna this one chance to fix her mistake, taking her back to where she can still make a difference before she really regrets.
Plus the kitty is really cute mimicking Haruna :twothumbs :twothumbs
I believe in Haruna, I feel that she will do the right thing this time for Yuko and Mariko too keke. I have a feeling that because she is going to spend more time with Yuko, she will pass some of the chances she gets at work and refuse some of the projects.. Sooooo instead Mariko get's to stay and take her position and then they all become friends and some how Takamina will reappear at the end with her cute little kitty =3

Hmm.. This chapter made me realize the importance of the dates I have skipped over in the previous chapters, lol. So I had to look back, and saw that there was a shift back in time, if I'm in any way right. At first I was like, 'Okay, Haruna gets a second chance." But then when Acchan(?) appeared, I was like, "Ughh, Yuko's gonna die again man." :doh:
I think it's great that you always put some sort of time indicator at the end of each part. I mean, it's great as a happiness reduction mechanism, since it ruined all of the preceding fluffy moments (for me at least). That's alright, it makes the story more interesting.
Ah, somewhere deep down in my mind, I'm secretly hoping for a happy ending, you know?

So in accordance with today's events (and in preparation for whatever the 3rd day will bring), please allow me a minute to cling on to the ridiculously cute fluffiness that is the first part of this chapter (also Baby!Rena :nya:).
OK. SO EFF YEAH TO THE SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE AGAIN. *does a little happy Flippy dance* (Actually reading this after recently writing a epistemology test for philosophy class made me question what was the true reality and for a second I had thought that the past 4 chapters weren't even real..but then I remembered all the stress placed on the times and so I proceeded to facepalm AND ANYWAY I DIGRESS.)

A/N: So... here's the last chapter of In Heaven. I was going to post this earlier, but couldn't find a good time. I think it's now or never LOL Sorry for the delay orz
Regarding the story, I am aware that a lot of things were vague/ambiguous, and there were quite a few small things snuck in here or there that people might have missed. Thus, if you have any questions, feel completely free to ask!
(A warning though: some things are MEANT to be vague/ambiguous, so yeah :P)
Also, with this done, I'll be going on what might be a permanent hiatus in light of the recent news. My inspiration has been waning these few weeks, and Acchan's announcement might have kind of officially killed it off. We'll see what's going to happen in the coming months >_>
Of course, thank you for all of your support from the start to the finish. Your comments and reactions to my writing have always brightened up my day (even if they were teary, yes :P), and it was really a pleasure to share a little bit of imagination with everyone.

Ah so even if Haruna tried so hard to save Yuko from what she thought she was gonna die from before, a heart attack, instead something completely different happened and they ended up both being killed.

Right now, i don't really know what to say more 'cause i'm still shocked about Acchan's announcement. I cried. She's not my Oshimen but Acchan is one of the face of AKB and it's going to be weird if we won't see her anymore in akb concerts/performance. I love all akb48 members and their bondings always puts a smile on my face. I felt like a close friend of mine is leaving me... :pleeease:
I was also thinking about Yuko graduating soon, i don't know maybe I'LL DIE if that would happen. :fainted:

Well that was unexpected I tough that only the squirrel was going but then POWN! Haruna too! Well in the end they both end up together...in heaven and Haruna seems happy that she can be with her squirrel anyway.
Toughs about Acchan graduating well it's hard...for me to be their fans for like over 5 years and then the first generation member the face of AKB is graduating. :banghead: and because of that I will continue to support her whatever she will be doing.

in regards to in heaven from the very beginning i had this feeling that at the end it was going to be a tragedy..in a sense well they did both die but they did end up together so overall it could be considered as a happy ending :) i was really touched and of course i cried reading it :P i thank you again for all the effort you have put into writing all the fanfics and i wish you the best in the future for more inspirations :)

Allow me to bump this up with my review! XD
First of all, I'm going to admit I have next to zero knowledge about this pairing. Heck, I only got to know who Yuria is during Request Hour 2013. Shows how much of an SKE fan I am :nervous Not that I dislike them, of course. I just pay too much attention to my AKBabies.
Truth be told, I was initially a bit worried about the length of this one-shot and if it'd turn out draggy. But you cleverly broke the story into parts depicting different stages of KumiYuri's relationship so it's basically several short scenes linking up to tell a story of young love. Good move there as readers can fully focus on the development of their relationship. The side characters are a nice touch, adding comic relief and providing more insight into Kumi's admiration for Yuria and how she deals with her "unrequited love". This is really helpful for someone like me who is unfamiliar with the SKE48 girls. That said, I'm not going to comment on how close to real life the characterisations in this story are because it'll be unfair to both you and the girls. However, what I can say is that the characters' actions and their relationship progress are believable as you gradually showed them getting closer - from stiffly referring to each other by their last names to calling each other idiots.
I have never been fond of using brackets to insert extra information of characters in stories so I was a tad skeptical when you used it right at the beginning. However, when I realised it was a running feature by the second scene, I actually began to look forward to the next one just to see what kind of quirky descriptions you would affix to Kumi. Gah, how do you do it? Always turning my doubts into anticipation! :panic: :twothumbs I do like the "Maybe tomorrow" running feature the moment it appeared though. This is something that I can always appreciate because when used appropriately, it can make the story all the more poignant. Kumi is such a bumbling procrastinator but that just makes her more relatable as many of us act like her when it comes to making the first move.
And I caught you sneaking in your OTP there! Kumi and Yuria caught a peek of not just Kai but the top actress in Japan too! Lucky girls XD
Overall, I enjoyed this one-shot although I wasn't able to spazz over it as I hardly know the members playing the leads :nervous Great work as usual. I always love the little details you put into your writing. My favourite line is this:
Seeing the way the round-faced girl was turned away, practically hiding her face in an upside down book, Kumi smiled to herself.
It's so simple, yet so telling :thumbup
Before I end this review, let me just get this off my chest: I'M STILL WAITING FOR MORE LOVE STONED AND THAT YOU-KNOW-WHAT XD Not to pressure you but to let you know I miss you and your writing. Sorry if this is short, but... we know long isn't always better, and long isn't my fort ;D
First... Uhhh, you might not like this, but personally I don't view this story as neither romantic nor dramatic. It doesn't involve much romance (aside from precious pain) or drama (if you call the progress of a life being revolved on the wheel of samsara dramatic, well... you know what? Might as well call Buddhism dramatic and other things histrionic and melodramatic).
Second, personally (again, when are things ever not personal?), I find this story interesting not exactly because it involves my OTP. Sure, AtsuMina calls the decision, but if not for the plot, the effort, and the brilliant creativity (although a bit twisted... you always have that), I probably would ditch reading this, which I didn't. And we know how much I complain to you about the pain of bad stories. ;D I won't call this a romance. But it definitely has those fluffy moments that you can't help but lock the door to your room, make sure no camera's recording your face, and then break into a silly, ridiculous grin because omg the sweetness is suffocating you, and then you can't help but say, "Yup, that's her," or, "As corny as always."
Third, the plot. Yes, the plot. You know how many of us students (I say many, not all) really wouldn't like to study Shakespeare? And yet he's one of the most famous authors. You see what I'm getting at? Not everyone gets his intentions, but those that do actually appreciate his works. Meanwhile, those who hate him don't even try to make sense of his works and did him an unfavorable favor. Well, I can't say I'm smarter than those people or more worthy because I appreciate stuff, but I can say for sure anyone not trying to make sense of a complicated story is totally missing out on it. At least I tried to understand and asked questions to make sense of it, yes?
Fourth... *kofs kofs*"interesting"doesn'tdothisstoryenoughjustice*kofs* It sure is a special plot you've come up with for this story XD

It started out so morose, I almost didn't want to continue reading, but I'm glad I did because Kojiharu was given a second chance :D
