Title: H!P Flute & Piccolo Covers
Post by: Berikyuu! on August 07, 2011, 11:52:30 PM
So, we've all heard of people covering H!P dances or covering H!P fan dubs. But you don't often hear of instrumental H!P covers, and if you do, they're usually on piano.

Now, this is where I come in. Back in 2009, I thought it would be fun to record myself playing Morning Musume's "Kimagure Princess" on piccolo and after getting very positive feedback, I decided to continue covering different H!P songs on flute and piccolo. What do you guys think?

I ve been searching for something like this, great job!
I recently started learning the flute and i m too bored with twinkle twinkle litle star, i need some real incentive
if you could provide the notes or the site, i would be really gratefull, i havent been able to find any sheet music for mm songs
keep up the good work

Thank you very much! But unfortunately, I don't have any sheet music. I learn everything on my own and just experiment with notes until I get a match. However, with the right software, I could be able to make my own sheet music :)

ah by ear, yeah i guess all those years will do that to most
if you find the time and energy in the future, maybe you could produce 1-2 sheets from shabondama or something easy like that
keep on uploading, they sound great

Terribly sorry to double post, but the full version of Honto no Jibun (Flute ver.) is out! http://youtu.be/y4Kxm15P_Gg (http://youtu.be/y4Kxm15P_Gg)

My next cover will be aMa no jaku by S/mileage. I'm already thinking of my 6th cover. I have no idea whether to do something old school, like Country Musume or Pucchi Moni, or if I should do the current stuff, like Sekai Iichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko.

Nice one. :thumbup
You could also try a ballad someday :ph43r:

Don't worry about double posts, we don't mind them here as far as I know as long as there has some time passed between them and/or the new one is like something with quality and new.

Thanks! Some forums are pretty strict about double posting, so I figured I'd play it safe.

I would love to do a ballad or a B-side song to a single. But usually there are no instrumental versions of B-sides. So I often thought of performing it acapella or in a live setting. Bye Bye Mata Ne and BE by Berryz Koubou immediately come to mind. :)

Ah right. VERY BEAUTY or Kokuhaku no funsui hiroba might be an option though.

Speaking of live, a trick comes to mind. If you need an instrumental of Bye Bye Mata Ne you can take the first couple seconds of the album version and combine it with the instrumental version they added to the outro of the berryz SWITCH ON! concert DVD (at least I think it was that one).
