RIP George Michael
« on: December 24, 2009, 04:59:03 PM »
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/sports/Longtime-NBC-Sports-Anchor-George-Michael-Has-Died-80061587.html

Twenty years ago, the "George Michael Sports Machine" was a fixture on Sunday nights, bringing a package of highlights that wrapped up a day of news in a very accessible package, before ESPN and mega-satellite technology became commonplace.

Older and simpler, yep.  And we remember those things when the people behind their genius pass on.

I remember that show..he push a little button and results would come on. I even remember watching his last show before he retired.(or was that really the last show?)

One of the best sports commentators there were out there*toasts*

WHOA. RIP.

NBC eh? I remember he used to come on after the games - but had no idea who he was. Thought he was local (when I got Spokane, WA on cable)
